Worked with both Steve and Amanda L when we refinanced our home. They were very professional, answered our questions, and never pressured us, which we appreciated. The process was as quick and painless as they could make it for us. The only drawback (and this does not reflect on either of them) is that this refinance was more costly than other banks, but their rate was a little lower.

We worked with Amanda Linville to refinance our home. Our loan was a refinance of a first and second mortgage into a single payment. We followed rates for several weeks as we considered refinancing and Capital First Home Loans consistently had the best rate on 15 and 30 year loans. Refinancing is a stressful process and I expected there to be a catch or some kind of problem and the quoted loan rate would vanish. That wasn't the case though. Amanda was in constant e-mail contact with us and we spoke several time on the phone as well. She kept us updated with the loan process and made sure our concerns were met. Of the six home loans we have had, this was by far the best service we have received. Amanda was great, the closing at our home was a treat, and the old adage, "if it seems too good to be true.....," doesn't always apply. Thanks Amanda.

I commend Steve Gerding and the rest of hte CF staff for putting up with my mood swings during the whole process. I will say the process of puchasing a home can be stressfull to say the least. In our case, a second basement inspection was mandatory due to a minor drainage issue. I was a bit irritated at this point and Steve took care of finding another basement inspector and even met them at the house the day of inspection. That went above and beyond. Moreover, they set the expectations throughout the process and delivered at the end. Steve and the sfaff always seem to available if you need them. That type of service is becoming abosolete these days. Keep up the good work.

I purchased my first home through Capital First this year. Steve Gerding was very helpful and explained everything in great detail. He also answered e-mails promptly with any questions that I had during the entire process. Lot of paperwork...but I guess that is normal. He was always positive and upbeat and upfront with me through the whole process. I've recommended them to my friends and family. Wish them continued success. I love my new home. I found Capital First Home Loans through LendingTree and refinanced my mortgage taking equity out for a home improvement project. My experience with Steve G. was good. He was straightforward with me, provided a good faith estimate to which Capital First held true, but best of all, I liked the fact that I could close in the convenience of my home. The line of communication between us and Steve G. was excellent; he was always available to answer any questions and any questions sent via e-mail were answered promptly. Steve G. was courteous and never rude and very knowledgeable. I would definitely do business with Capital First Home Loans again.

This company was incredible. I found their information among others online. I worked directly with Jeremy; however, I talked with a few of the other representatives, which were all very knowledgeable. Not only was everyone upfront and honest, they also made me feel like I was their only customers. There services were very hands on and I never waited for an answer to any of my many questions. Jeremy was able to handle everything for me via e-mail and fax. When it came down to closing, he sent someone out to my house at 9:00 p.m. (which was nice for me due to me getting off work late). Everything came through as they promised. I was nervous never using them before but they accomplished everything they promised and more. What a wonderful company. We worked with Steve to get a mortgage with Capital First for our first home. He took us through the process and explained everything very well. Capital First was definitely the lowest rate we found in the area, and it has stayed that way whenever I've looked around again. The closing costs are a bit higher than other places (like Third Fed), but if you plan to stay in the home for more than a few years, the lower rate came out ahead leaps and bounds even after Third Fed's 'rate match.' In our experience Steve and Jeremy were very honest and straightforward about costs, explaining which items were 'under their control' and which could vary on the Good Faith estimate. We've had our mortgage now for 8 months and all has gone smoothly from the beginning. If I were to do it all again, I'd 'shop around' for the best rates and closing costs every time, but I would be very surprised if Capital First didn't come out best again!

I was in a pit of a pinch on the purchase of my new home and I turned to Capital First to help me. The original lender turned me down and I always drive past their offices, so I figured it was worth a shot. I was greeted by a very nice receptionist and I discussed the situation. The branch manager came out and discussed the sitiuation wtih me personally, and let me know that he was going to do his best to make it happen. He said his staff rallied and worked overtime to make sure everything got processed quickly to get my family in our home. It was interesting to see people actually care these days. They cared, and really made me feel like I was their absolute priority. It was an emotional time for me, and Capital First and their staff took me from the super blue, to true excitement. There rates were great, so I was concerned the service might not be as strong. I was very pleasantly surprised. They were open later, and my loan officer even responded to E-mails after hours! Would highly recommend them.Thanks again guys!

Watch out for these guys. During the application and underwriting process, Jeremy will lie to you repeatedly... the good faith estimates will be fudged, he will promise you closing cost discounts, he will lie and deceive you. He'll promise you one interest rate, and give you another. Besides this mess, as you review the documents, you'll wonder if a 5th grader put them together... there will be typos galore, signature requests on blank documents, missing discounts on the good faith estimates, and complete lack of disclosure that you're working with a mortgage broker! Jeremy is slick... beware. THEY WILL BURN YOU!

My interactions have still not ended so consider this as preliminary review. Carefully understand when the company will lock the rate and make sure that policy works for you. Ask for "Rate Lock Disclosure Form". Amit

I shopped around extensively for a mortgage loan and I ended up going with Capital First Home Loans on Pearl road. I am glad I did! The staff there was very professional and helpful.
