I had to bust my nephew for trying to cheat the last time we played Candy Land.

My kid loves this game even more than Chutes and Ladders. It has the virtue of allowing you to determine whether your child is color blind. There's no skill, but you can ad-lib the rules to make it more fun.

As chichuahua mentioned, it was the first game that my mother bought for my brother and I when we were little. As simple and repetitive as it was; I loved it as did my brother.

Great game, as long as you're four years old.

It's okay when you're a kid, but for anyone over four it's boring as heck.

The best non-number / no reading race game for young children.

This is a difficult game to play when you're a color-blind child. Not that I'm bitter. *sniff* Reminded me of Chutes and Ladders, without the Chutes. Or Ladders.

Fun and educational until someone starts to lose and someone else starts to cheat. Have you ever seen a three-year-old lose at Candyland who really wanted to win? I have. He gets up and tries to throw the cards down the toilet. This is like Vegas roulette for some kids. Go figure.

I think everyone had this game as a child. Its still one of my favorites, I still play it with my 4 year old nephew who has learned that its not important that you win a gam but that you have fun.

This is a good first game for children to learn. It does not have many rules to learn. It is a good way for kids to learn their colors. It has been around for ages. I had one when I was a child and my kids had one too.

Now this is an absolutely delightful AND educational game to play. I love the looks on small childrens' faces when they learn to match colors and shapes, and as an adult and teacher, it's a priceless way to spend time with children and give them your love and attention. This is one of the few games that encourages gentle cooperation and caters to the child in all of us. I played this game when I was small, and I really get a kick out of watching little ones learn to help one another and to work together.

I would probally give this a better rating if i was younger. The main object is to be the first one to reach the castle of Candyland. This game is more for the younger kids.

Candy Land was a fun game when I was 4 years old, and it's still pretty fun to play today. Sure, its a bit too easy, but it's still kind of fun and colorful and it brings back good memories.

Candy Land is no fun, well maybe it is if you're five. I guess it can be fun if you play with a lot of friends just to be cheesy.

It is a good game for children because it is simple and easy to learn. It teaches kids how to play together and how to accept winning and losing.

This game has lots of colorful features and interesting objectives. It is very good for young children cause I believe they will really get into the characters.

Great game for playing with preschool-aged children. My five-year old, my two-year old, and I can all play it together.

I still get a dreamy feeling when I think of this game. I was blown away when I finally saw Willy Wonka and the board game came to life on the set.

I played my fair share of Candyland growing up, and there really is very little skill to it. The only redeeming quality is that it was fun as a kid to picture a world made up entirely of candy. Not unlike the Simpsons in which a comatose Homer, after getting crushed under a vending machine, prances around in the imaginary Chocolate World - a world in which he is able to eat lamp posts and passing dogs.

God help me..just started playing this with my kids. Awesome game, but I am a little worried about them..one skips all the way to lollipop land without picking any cards and the other freaks out if he gets sent back 3 spaces--still the ultimate first game for everyone.

The ultimate game for really young kids. But it's hard for me to think of Candy Land without thinking of that "Simpsons" episode where Homer went to the imaginary candy land and started taking bites of everything in site, including a little chocolate dog.

Hours of fun spent trying to make it to lollypop land. As a child, of course.
