these are the best cigs ever. i really mean it. i am a methol smoker because i find all non methol cigs lack flavor while menthol ones have that minty taste. these are different though. they have a taste, a good taste.the smoke is rich and thick almost billowing, the taste and smell is woodsy and its not harsh at all. very aromatic. all camels are like this. i live camel and i love these.

Proud to be a smoker when dragging on one of these! Total disregard for emphysema and lung cancer when sucking these!

These are very good. If you're a slow smoker, these last longer than regulars and are less harsh because the wider gauge allows them to burn cooler. If you're a fast smoker, you just get a significantly stronger buzz from these than regulars. Like regular Camels, the tobacco blend is rich, fairly smooth, and tasty. I usually smoke non-filter Luckies, but I'll grab a pack of these once in a while for an enjoyable break from the ordinary.

Camels are great, I prefer the regular filters though. My friend works at a gas station and he said Wides were popular with all the truckers that went in there. I've had only 2 packs of these and I wasn't impressed, they burned quickly too...

These cigarettes are superb. The wider gauge makes them feel more substantial, and they deliver lots of thick, smooth smoke. Much more satisfying than a Marlboro, and they burn longer too.

best cigarette for anyone. hands down. you can take someone who will only smoke menthols, and they'll like these. i honestly haven't personally met someone who didn't like these.  if you're thinking about trying these, go for it.

I've been a non-filter guy for a long time, But with the low amount of unfiltereds in the stores I would only accept the gift of a lucky strike or a camel non filtered every once in a while. One day my good friend introduced me to Camel Wides and it's been my favorite cigarette ever since. the size is just big enough not to be gaudy, and they still fit in my case. The taste is so regal, so smooth; it's really a pleasure to step outside and enjoy one in between the boring hours of the day. Along with that it packs just enough punch for me as a former unfiltered smoker. At this point i'm sold. I'll go out smoking camels just like ol' Sinatra

The Best Smoke ever MADE, they are FAT and very tasty, Camel has a buttery taste that I love ! the new blend is not as good as the old but they still have that distinct taste that i love! I buy a carton of these and 2 packs every 2 weeks! Great smoke, If you want a real smoke buy these not those shitty european marlboro smokes. Camel is a true American smoke!

When Camel released Wides, they went by the theory that Wider=Smooth. They were badly mistaken; These cigatettes deliver the taste of good tobacco, however they are very harsh. Once they burn 2/3 of the way they become nearly unbearable. I recommend Wides Lights to someone who prefers the Wide cigarette. A 2/5.

I am not American but a big part of my family lives there,so every time they came to vist Greece always got 2 cartons of Camel cigarettes for me. I read the reviews for the new blend and how terrible is... hm i think most of them are spam reviews. Camel cigarettes smells the same, taste a little differend but it's still the best cigarette ever made:Strong and Smooth, unique flavor, superior tobaccos. The only think i don't like is the new ugly packs.

These cigarettes have a nice, even burn and a pleasant smell. In addition, provide a good buzz. They last a little bit longer than other 72's and have a great taste to them. I'm still partial to king size cigarettes but enjoy these occasionally.

wide gauge can be interesting when you used to a normal cigarette, and (in my opinion) lastes a little longer when you're a smoking slowly

Another smoke I use to like, but got them awhile ago.  Camel changed the tobacco and someone had told me before I had any Camel after they changed them that the new blend sucks, and well it does.

I loved camel wides for a few months. I switched over to them when my girlfriend at the time insisted on Camel Wides herself...so I bought three cartons for the both of us. They were really good at first...my preferred cigarette. But for an unknown reason...I got sick of the taste. Switched back to reds. They always satisfy :)

I just bought a carton of these, I figured hey, I like regular camel filters so the same cig with a wider gauge and none of those laser cut holes in the filter must be awesome. Of course I was not let down. Very excellent smoke with a bigger wallop of nicotine and a longer lasting burn. If you like camel smokes, buy a pack of wides.

These are amazing!  The wide gauge is great for added boost.  I love these.  I am sold out to these too.  These and Turkish Royals are great.  Man I have to say, that they are something.  They taste really good too.  Nice aroma to them.  Not vanilla, but more like a mix of cherry and lime.  And really calms you.  These are the smokes to get if you have less time to be outside.  I'd have to say I could get by on 5 of these a day and be a happy camper.

These cigarettes are my most preferred, since they have the Camel taste and contain more tobacco, for the same price. Wides are great for smokers who are not allowed outside often, since the high nicotine volume of these bad boys keep the cravings in bay for quite a while. Give these a try if you have smoked for a while. If you've never smoked tobacco before, avoid these like the plague.

oh baby, these are really something! they taste amazing, and get you such a massive nicotine high. i find i have to sit down when i smoke these, standing up just kind of messes me up when smoking these, then again i am somewhat of a new smoker, only been smoking for about half a year, after switching from Marlboro Reds. i would definitely reccommend these over Kool wides or any other wides out there.

I've been smoking for 45 years, my first cigarette was a non-filter camel, beautiful. i still smoke these, along with special ordered non-filter chesterfield kings. These filtered camel Wides are wonderful, and are now my everday smoke, an honest cigarette with delicious flavor.i found little lazer cuts in the filter of the regular camel filters,i hate that, winston has them too, along with all the turkish blends except the jades. marlboro doesnt have them, but they have no flavor either. Camel Wides, best damn filter cigarette period.

These have the same rich butter-caramel taste found in Camel filters, maybe a tiny bit milder.  The fatter shape and shorter filter allows for a faster and stronger hit; only non-filters are speedier.  The extra thickness is also pleasing to handle.  A fine cigarette and a very shrewd and canny marketing maneuver from RJR.

Pretty standard, good all around cigarette. If you're debating whether or not to try them, go for it. I doubt you'll regret it, though you might not stick with it. Good flavor, pretty smooth and I don't really have anything negative to say about them. 4 stars.

Since their introduction in the early 90's I have been a fan of the wide gauge smoke. They have not always been easy to find as i have moved about the country but well worth seeking out. I must admit I was distressed to see the introduction of the menthol version but oh well I don't to smoke those now do I?

I have been having a hard time trying to find "my brand" of tobacco. I sort of like these Captain Black Mini Cigars. But for cigarettes, I'd say out of the past year of buying many different brands, Camel Wides, Camel Turkish Royals, and Marlboro Lights have to be the top three. Unless you like Menthol...

One great cigarette. These are smooth and easy to smoke and still offer that great camel flavor. The widened gauge makes the cig easy to draw from and its easier to hold. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because sometimes when I smoke these I wish they had a little more umph to them.
