Bored at work and just picked up a pack and figured I'd do a revision. First of all this is still an excellent choice for a non-filtered cigarette. It use to be my preference for years. However after trying luckies a few months ago, I have to say I feel differently. Luckies have a subtly better flavor. non-filter camels still have great flavor but it's not superior to good ol' strikes. Camels beat strikes in the strength department. I am a experienced unfiltered smoker and the nicotine kicked my ass. Since trying luckies I've been switching back and forth between roll your own ( particularly buglar) and Luckies. However this morning when I grabbed that pack of camels was in for a surprise, " Damn I don't remember these things being that strong!?". Keep in mind I can smoke luckies like marlboro lights, so this leads me to believe camels are stronger than luckies. The maybe strong, however that intense nicotine rush can replace the complex and unique flavor of luckies. However filter-les... Read more

I started off sneaking these from my grandfather as a teenager. (ok--maybe I was 10 or 11) I smoked them for years, then as I hit my 30's I went with Camel Lights, then eventually quit for 5 years. For some reason (I liked to smoke--that's the reason) I started again, and went back to the tried and true Camels. They are rich, but smooth, and always had a great taste. About a year ago RJR changed something--I'm not sure what, but they taste a little drier and harsher. There seems to be more "tobacco dust" in my mouth after smoking. There are times I've had to relight the same cigarette 3 times. Come on, guys! Smokers of Camel non-filters are the most dedicated, and we pay at least a buck and a half more a pack for these, so I hope the blend wasn't changed to save money. At times now I'll go to Luckies for a few packs. They were never close to Camels, but now at times I find them not as harsh. They (along with just about 70% of all brands) are now made by RJR. So please..to th... Read more

great cig, though i don't smoke em too often (2 dollars more then camel filters) and as for the "crazy health problems" i work the only store in a small town, where EVERYONE smokes, and the only people that buy these are 4 different old men, late 70's old, and they all said the've been smoking em their whole life

I've only had 1 of these... 1 cig I mean not a pack... when I was 15 I snuck it from my dad's pack 1 night and went outside for a smoke... I enjoyed it but because of the whole cancer/no filter I really wouldn't use these as my cig of choice... I prefer Camel Filters. These are also becoming a pain to find... not a lot of places sell these. also I know a lot of older people that have chain smoked these for 40 years before they got any type of disease...

These are my all time favorite cig. None of my friends or family smoke so I'm looked down upon for smoking, but when do sneak out for a smoke these are the only cigs that'll do. Great taste, great drag, and a really good finish if you only smoke about 2/3 of the cig. They are a little harsh on the throat if you're new to them tho, that's the only downside that I see with them. Except of course, the whole cancer deal.

These are the best overall cigarette out there in my opinion. They are what a cigarette should be, strong, satisfying, nice rich tobacco taste. They are very strong but not in a harsh way. I love the strong tobacco taste I get from these, no disgusting chemical taste. They really deliver, and are my favorite non-filtered cig. They are what I smoke when I want to relax, or when I take a break from my Kools. Quality is the word for these, no wonder they have been around since 1913!

Twenty years ago, when I smoked, this was what I smoked. I didn't want any sissy filter between my body and those good cancerous fumes.

First time I tried this it destroyed my throat for about 20 minutes, had a hard time breathing. Had another anyway and each one after that just got easier on my throat and now it's a great standby. Tastes good, smells good, and if you don't really get a buzz anymore these will get it for you if you don't feel like taking a break from smoking.

smooth even for a nonfilter. would not recommend u start smoking these tho, there are way better cigs out. i only see two kinds of ppl smoking these, posers and hardcore old(middle aged) men. leave these to the old guys

Also known as "bare ass" cigs because of the lack of a filter. American G.I.'s smoked bare ass Lucky strikes during WWII. These are harsh and give you a mean buzz if not prepared. Not my favorite when I smoked for 8 years but usually a young persons cig because of the heavy amounts of tar and nicotine. Don't see many old people that can take them.
