The powers that be in C-Span wrecked it when they imposed the balance on the call-ins. The old first come, first served was much better.

TOO CONSERVATIVE ON THE EDITING. This program worries about editing way too much when it should be more concerned about provided better programming, with maybe some neat graphics during peoples congessional testimony.

I watch this whenever sometype of debate, convention, or rally is going on because they'll cover the entire event rather then just show a clip of it like they do on the major networks. For anything else, it's pretty dull.

Been watching more and more of this recently. Show a lot of press conferences, political rallies, debates in its entirety that the news channels skip or cut off, and without the increasingly annoying commentary of other nets.

Probably the dullest collection of stuff since web cams from Omaha at midnight. Does info have to be do mind-numbing dull ? Lamp may be smart but he and his style should not be broadcast. God this is horrible video.

Thank God for C-SPAN and Thank You For C-SPAN are the majority of viewers' feelings of this cable/satellite (Public Affairs) network. Reason for this you ask? Not only does C-SPAN cover the House and Senate of the USA, which happened to be their original purpose 25+ years ago, but let viewers express their opinions on the latest news being covered by C-SPAN's outside world (the news media). Washington Journal is the main program for viewers for call in, including guests speaking their minds on the issues (news media and newsmakers). To avoid having the same caller on, like everyday for example, C-SPAN gives each caller 30 days until he/she can call in again. C-SPAN may seem sort of boring at first glance, but once you're into call in shows like myself, you'll soon find yourself carefully listening to whatever comes out of your state representative's mouth, or one representing another state at least.

Forget the major news channels, if you want truly impartial news analysis, watch C-SPAN. The hosts are never ideological and they give air time to many different persepectives. The pundits and spinning heads that you see on the major networks rarely make it on here, so you actually get something out of it. For a fresh and honest perspective on current events, this is the place to go.

Want a truly 'fair and balanced' look at politics and current events? Forget Fox and CNN and tune in to CSPAN. You can't be well informed unless you see both/all sides of an issue, and this is what CSPAN provides. I particularly recommend watching Washington Journal, a three hour daily call-in show featuring guest experts and a review of the day's news.

C-SPAN is the only impartial channel I know of that deals with current events. They show the good, the bad and the ugly- no matter what. Where else can you see Paul Wolfowitz get booed and screamed at during a university lecture, or Robert Byrd launching into one of his facsinating, long winded tirades on the Senate floor? I've seen some prettty interesting stuff on C-SPAN and conservatives and liberal ideas both get equal time.

C-Span performs an amazing service for our country- it allows us to keep up with the happenings in Washington D.C.

C-Span has really let us down. All we hear about is George Bush this, George Bush that, what about something like stocks 24/7 again?

Public affairs. This is an educational and very informative channel. I think it is very important to maintain the public and update them about issues our representatives are dealing with. This educates the US citizens and allows them to become closer to their government, thus replenishing the concept of democracy.

Everyone hates C-SPAN, but I love it. I like to know what's going on in the gov't.
