I have Pitbull terriers, Bull Dogs and a Chiguagua and I would have to say that by nature is not made for the terrier family cause it takes away the fatty acids that they need in there coat. It also gives them in some cases skin problems. Also would like to point out that by nature dry dog food has 3 different yeat ingedients such as: Yeast Culture,Selenium Yeast,Dried Yeast Fermentation Solubles, which can be atribute to the cause yeast infections on your dogs skin, other than that by nature may cause your dog to feel blowded because of the potatoes and other ingredients. Over all by nature is a good product its has most of what a dog need but i dont recommend by nature dry food if your dog needs suficient fatty acids or if your dogs breed has a history of skin problems ( dermatitis, skin rash, bad odor among other conditions), cause by yeast ingredients. So make sure you know your breeds history.

This is probably one of the better organic foods out there. A little grain heavy but all good quality grains.

I have used by-nature products many times, both canned and dry,and they are good quality foods. The brand is made by Blue Seal feeds, who has a good record with customer satisfaction and no recalls.I have used a few of their dry formulas including, duck and sweet peas, adult formula, pork and sweet potato, and this organic formula. The last one didnt agree with my dog(diarrhea),and I had to stop feeding. But its a good brand and I cant be sure the dog food was inferior. It just may have had another ingredient the others didnt have, like chicken hydrosalate.Another dog might tolerate it fine.So I`m not going to give it one star or malign by-nature because of a bad experience with one formula of the brand like some people would. This brand is available at petsmart and is a good value for a premium food.Only complaint is their kibble size is very small in all formulas, like little balls.Although the small kibbles measure very easily and mix easily with canned food.

Another of my favorite foods, free from corn, wheat, soy, glutens, and byproduct and certified organic, to boot, this stuff is fantastic, canned or dry.

Great food! Finally a company putting their money in the food instead of advertisement! I work at a Pet Smart and it is the only food that I recommend to people. No bi-product, corn, wheat or anything that can be hard to digest for the dogs! It is very important to know that when switching a dog from an ordinary food with bad ingredients to a great food that will be much easier to digest, no matter how slowly you make the change, the dog will have very soft stool for a while. In a way, it is the system cleaning itself. Give it a chance, it will really make a difference!

I have recently purchased By Nature - Puppy Formula for my 9 week old Boxer Casey and she adores it! She had previously been on Eukanuba for Large Breed Puppies and it had caused some constipation, but since slowly switching over to By Nature her once digestion issue has disappeared. When I was looking to switch to a new brand of dog food I scoured the web to compare dog foods and found that By Nature was a good brand because it did not have corn, fillers and other ingredients that dogs had trouble digesting. I strongly recommend this brand at least for pups!

This food made my dog's coat dry. He didn't like it and the ingredients were disgusting. The kibble is way too small for a large dog. He would hardly touch the kibble, had diarrhea, a dry and itchy coat, and I hated the ingredients.

We've always had trouble finding food that our little Shitzu could handle. We had fed him Nutro Natural Choice lamb or chicken, but he occasionally threw up and had one incident of diarrhea and bloody stool. I was told that this food was on the recall list (though I had not seen it there), so immediately took him off it. After trying various foods, we tried By Nature Organics lamb with rice, and although he's not overwhelmed by the taste, I can mix it with canned food and he is fine. Not only does he not vomit, he has gained nicely (he was slightly underweight) and his coat looks great. I too would like to support organic food industry (and local, if possible). I am not giving it full marks only because my picky pooch is not overly in love with the taste. Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

My JRT had been doing wonderfully on Natural Balance's raw diet (in fact, she was in the best condition of her life), but it just cost too much for me to continue. I decided to feed her a homemade semi-raw diet, in combination with this brand of food. I have only used the canned food, so I can't vouch for the quality of the dry, although I read the ingredients on the bag, and they looked good to me. I decided on this particular canned food mainly because it has only a few high quality ingredients, none of which are grain. It helps keep my dog very healthy, and her skin allergies under control. I also like the fact that it is organic. I feel it is right up there with Canidae and Evo, it costs less, and it is more widely available in my area. I haven't had it confirmed yet, but it seems to me that By Nature Organics is available in grocery stores under the name Brandon Farms Organics. The ingredients and nutrition profile are identical, (at least in the canned they are) and it cost a... Read more
