I was listening to this album the other day. Nice and heavy with a thought provoking message. This album is great, great, great! I actually think I like Alice's newer stuff better than the classic years.

The best Cooper album in twnety years. The songs are heavy and scary. Cooper still has it and this one is worth checking out if you like great hard rock/metal.

This is one of Cooper's greatest moments in rock (and he has had plenty). Every song from this 2000 album completely rocks. I was relatively new to Alice's music but now I am hooked and have gone back and bought the classic stuff. Cooper is a legend and if you aren't familiar with his music then you should be ashamed.

You know things are bad when even Alice himself admits that his singing is brutal. On this CD he is very Macy Gray like. For those that need reminding, Macy Gray is a screeching singer who's voice makes me run for earplugs! Alice Cooper is a rock man, and fails to keep up with the trends of the time. Fans that have been following him for awhile will like this new effort, but he fails to get new fans with his outdated singing!

This CD proves that Cooper can still get it done. Ironically this 200 CD is his best since another CD I reviewed, 1975's Welcome To My Nightmare. Teens if you like it heavy with a great story and vocals this is the one.

This Cd is okay and not as bad as you might first think. The title, Brutal Planet is not a good reflection of this CD. It is not in any way brutal. It is just OK. The only Cd's that deserves to be called Brutal are Macy Gray's CD's.

All of my friends in college, have recently gotten into rock legend Alice Cooper's music. This guy is brilliant and Brutal Planet is probably the best album I have heard in the last few years. The album is moody and heavy. For Alice to be as old as he is, you can't tell it here. I definitely have become a fan, and he is well loved on our campus!

I know that Alice is getting up there in the years but this guy has refound himself. Not only is this album good, it is great! A musthave. Check out the title track, Gimme, and Pick Up The Bones. If you like hard rock/metal this is the CD you have been looking for.

Those two guys who gave Brutal Planet 1 star are total idiots and don't realize how brilliant this man is! I'm only 13 and I'm one of the biggest Alice Cooper fans alive thanks to Brutal Planet. I originally liked "Weird Al" Yankovic but when I got this album it was good-bye Al and Hello Alice! The song and the video for Gimme is one of the best I've seen in years. Sanctuary, Blow Me A Kiss and Wicked Young Man are good songs too. Don't listen to those punks and go out and buy Alice Cooper's Brutal Planet!

The surprise album of the year. I know Alice Cooper is a rock legend and all, but I didn't realize how much juice the guy has left. This album is flat out incredible and he sounds great on the album, with excellent scary thought provoking lyrics. This is a very good stocking stuffer for any rock fan. I can't get over how good it is.

This album is really good; however, I really don't think it measures up to his older stuff. The music is not as versatile as earlier albums and the music is pretty generic. In the past the music alone would be enough to determine that it is Alice Cooper. I think it has a lot to do with the producer Bob Marlette. I think he had Alice Cooper doing things that just aren't Alice Cooper. I just went to see him live the other day and have to say that this is the best concert I have ever seen. This man can still top the rest while even topping himself. If you ever have an opportunity to see his show, do it. Even if you don't like the music the show is worth it. And as I said about Marlette may just be true. These songs from Brutal Planet were 120x better live. If they relese a live album from this tour do not hesitate to buy it.

Anyone who rates this cd any lower than 3 stars either hasn't heard the cd or is afraid to beleive that people outside the nineties originated many of the popular cultures around today. I can understand if he is not your taste but if that's the case you probably didn't buy the cd to rate it. well anyway, all the songs have great rhythms to keep you interested. The lyrics in every song still hit you with that little bit of shock. and classic to his style, there is a comedic song in the little things which is very amusing. The title track gets you set for everything you will hear in the rest of the record. The video Gimme does good on the core of the song. And finally songs like Sanctuary and Cold Machines still show how he knows what it feels like to be alone. It's a great cd that can attract new fans, keep old ones, and hold it's own against any band's music out today with the help of a little marketing.

I wasn't very familiar with ALice before a few months ago. Don't get me wrong I knew he was a legend and all and had heard the hits but didn't own an album by him, until my buddy bought me Brutal Planet as a gift. Wow! This thing rocks as much as any of the 90's bands I dig so much. Take a chacne on this bad boy. I went yesterday and bought a couple of more Alice albums, and Ihaven't had a chance to listen to them yet, but I am sure they rock!

I have always liked Alice and this is a fine album. I think From The Inside or Last Tempatation are better but this is definitely worth buying. The reviews seem positive here for it. Rate it allneed work, alot of people pick out a band they like and give it a five star and them nark the others one, without hearing the albums. I want to give my honest opinion, onalbums I have truly heard.

ALOT OF THE MANSON YOUTH RULING THE ROCK WORLD THESE DAYS("ANNONYMOUS")REALLY DO HATE ALICE BECAUSE HE DEFUSES THE"ORIGINAL FRESHNESS"IN MARY'S VISIONS. HAVING SAID THAT,AT MY FIRST LISTEN "COLD MACHINES" SEEMS HAUNTINGLY LIKE "BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE" OF THE MANSON CATALOG.BUT I HAVE GROWN TO BELIEVE THAT THE RIFF RESEMBLANCE IS INTENTINAL AND LYRICALLY DIRECTED TO MANSON FOLLOWERS. ALICE COOPER HAS NO TWO ALBUMS ALIKE.SOME I LOVE AND SOME I WILL HAVE TO DUST OFF BEFORE I PUT THEM BACK INTO MY ROTATION.THIS ONE I CAN'T TAKE OUT OF SLOT 4 OF MY 5 DISC CHANGER.ALICE(ONCE AGAIN)RE-INVENTS HIS BEING WITH THE STYLE OF THE DAY,WITH A FORCE WE(THE DIE-HARDS...Y'KNOW WHO YOU ARE!)HAVEN'T TASTED SINCE THE LIKES OF "RAISE YOUR FIST AND YELL"WHICH,UNTIL NOW,I LABLED ALICE AT HIS HEAVIEST.THANX FOR STAYING ALICE,ALICE!

You're kidding me, right? One of the reviewers here calls Brutal Planet "the best hard rock album I personally have ever heard." How many hard rock CDs has that reviewer heard, then - two? And was the other one "New Tattoo" by Motley Crue? "Brutal Planet" is like the rest of Alice Cooper's music - loud, inane, over-hyped crap designed to appeal to adolescent boys. Cooper, like Motley Crue, put out this CD because he's running out of money and wants to cash in on the 80s nostalgia. If you want to help pad his retirement fund, go ahead and buy the CD. If you have any sense in your head, avoid it.

I never thought I was a hard rock fan. I always hated it back in the day, but my boyfriend kept playing this album called Brutal Planet by Alice Cooper. Well,of course I knew who Alice was, the man is a legend, but I guess I didn't pay enough attention. This guy is terrific. This is the best hard rock album,I personally have ever heard.

This album is truly great. Dark apocalyptic music which is very inspirational. Stories of greed, hate, the futility of life. A dark look of the future which in some cases is now. Pick up the Bones, Cold Machines and Gimmie are Alice at his Best.

Anyone that gives this album a bad rating, is doing it clearly for meaness or hasn't heard it, because it is flat out awesome. I will be honest, I never owned an ALice album before this one. I had heard some songs on the radio and thought they were good, but after seeing some cool reviews about this one, I thought, "Why not?" I couldn't believe how great the whole thing is. Hard rocking, dark, and a mature album. The type of album Alice needed to make. I got this album two weeks ago, and yesterday went and bought a couple of other Alice albums. This guy is great, and shame on me for overlooking him. I plan to buy more soon, but Alice I am with you and will see you on tour this year!

This album is fantastic. Buy this, and buy the single 'Gimmie'. (Single worth is alone for the dark video. Reminiscent of Seven/Millenium cinematography, very Neil Gaiman-esque with visuals, but all Alice.

I always liked Alice Cooper, but I really thought he had lost his edge and was musicially finished for the most part. However,I took a chance on this album and was blown away. It is the most rocking effort he has had in years, and blows away any other hard rock album I have heard this year, or for that matter in a number of years. If you don't own this album, you simply don't like hard rock and metal. Good to see a real legend still doing something great. Plus he is touring, the tour dates at www.spitfirerecords.com right now, for the next leg of his tour. I am totally there!

Alice Cooper's refusal to fade away gracefully is a black mark on the music scene. And the fact that he apparently still has a loyal fanbase is even more depressing.
