Brothers Pets Ctr

I have 2 new aquariums a 55 gallon and 90 gallon tanks that I took over from friends. So I was looking for Local Fish in the area. So I've gone to Brothers Pets 10 times now and I'm finally over it. Its not like I had one bad experence I've had 8 out of 10 bad ones. First thing I would like to say out 13 local fish stores around the KC Metro area I have been less than impressed with brothers. There prices are just way out of control. a Marineland heater I could buy for 44.00 dollars is at 80 dollars at brothers pet. as I started to look at most prices an compaired them to other LFS. Brothers is the highest out of 13 local fish stores I've been to. I truely support local fish stores as much possiable but that is just way to much when other Local Fish stores are cleaner, heathier and cheaper. Lets talk about their arrogance and rudeness. I've too Brothers twice and both times all the fish I purchased died within a few days while fish I've purchased other places did not. Also, don't expect pleasant customer service. You have to hunt someone down and then they help you grudgingly.

I work at an animal hospital near Brothers Pets, where I client of ours recently bought a kitten. He brought his new feline friend in and it had about 16 syringes full of fluid surrounding its lungs, caused by feline leukemia which the kitten tested positive for. This disease is highly contageous and is spread on contact, so more than likely the other kittens at Brothers are sick now as well. A good store would test for this before purchasing animals from a breeder or selling animals to customers.
