Why is she listed under actresses? Being part of (and occasionally out-acted by) the scenery does not qualify someone as an actress.

So gorgeous in her prime. . .so untalented as well. . .

Not really getting much work lately. one very forgettable actress. Other than The Blue Lagoon what else is there. She's actually more famous for who she's dated.

She was definitely an actress of unsurpassed, almost ethereal loveliness when she made movies like Pretty Baby or King of the Gypsies. These were good movies, but her function in them was as a sort of ornament; a pretty, fragile doll. The lovely child she was has become a beautiful woman, but she doesn't seem to be much more talented than she was then. Still, she keeps on plugging away, so you have to give her some credit for perseverence. Also, she impresses one as a nice, down-to-earth person, so all the best to her.

in the 80's i had a huge crush on brooke shields, but i have obviously gotten over it. i still think that when she was younger she was one of the most beautiful girls in history.

My uncle was't accepted to Princeton (now he teaches there) because of her.

Brooke is a decent actress. Suddenly Susan was pretty good. She also is very beautiful. She has such a lovely face.

She's been around for 25+ years.Longer than the current stable of young, popular female actresses (longer than most of them have even been alive), and she's still got it all over them. Let's see how many of them are still around in 25 years. Way to go Brooke.

Brooke Shields is a one-time child star who grew up but never developed, got older but no better, got a TV comedy but was never funny and is now famous for being famous.

I have no idea why she had breast reduction surgery. Seems to me she is cutting off her nose to spite her face. I like Brooke Shields and I'm glad she's able to stay relevant.

I think Brooke is the All American girl next door. She has been in the business a long time, and has always done really well for herself. One of the few actresses that can do tv sitcoms one day and do a movie the next ! Excellent talent !

Great Actress& loved her in Suddenly susan and the movie she played in when she was younger and she slept with her brother on an island and had a baby !!!!!

After all she's been through, she still shines!!

Brook has gone from Terrible to just plain Bad over the last few years. She's a fairly wooden actress, but she does have her mooments(moostly on the small screen). Still has the big eyes and the long legs. There are certainly worse actresses out there. :=8/

Give the lady credit for surviving in a dog-eat-dog business while maintaining her integrity.

Brooke Shields was one of the lesser child stars of the 70's, and really isn't much today, except for having a hit TV show, Suddenly Susan. It was a pretty good show, except for having cute paper thin scripts and no plot whatsoever.

There's not much that I can say about her. She started like Jodie Foster with Blue Lagoon (minus prostitutes and taxis) but then she went down hill from there. She does get points for the nice ass and going to Princeton. The only thing I remembered was for her ads for Calvein Klein Jeans and the now defunct modest hit, "Suddenly Susan." It was not one of my favorite shows although some shows were hilarious. Actually I really did like this show. Unfortunately all the comedy came from Kathy Griffens.

She started out as a baby Lolita (think of the much-published picture of JonBenet Ramsey). She still has a limited appeal because she continues to give off a wanton image.
