I could write non-stop about how bad this place is. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. They will keep you guessing so you will keep coming back and spending more and more money. Their job is to diagnose the problem and solve it and in my experience they just treat the symptom and don't look for the root cause. They should be ashamed of themselves. My groomer was able to notice symptoms that the VETS, Yes VETS 4 different ones not once ever thought about. Our dog was treated here for 3 years and after hundreds of dollars were non the wiser.

I understand what the other reviewers are saying about the front end staff seeming un-compassionate or uncaring and sometimes even rude. When my cats both had a bad reaction to their shots, I called there and the receptionist insisted "That's not possible. There is no way that BOTH cats would have a reaction." She basically was calling me a liar. They are sisters from the same litter, so it was possible! When I brought them in - they were both running high fevers. It is just one example of how the front end doesn't do Dr. Schaad justice. What a nice, caring and compassionate man Dr. Schaad is!! When our dog was sick - Dr. Schaad personally called our house several times - even over the weekend - to see how she was doing. He has a very gentle spirit, and a kind bedside manner that makes me feel at ease during stressful times. After spending nearly $1200 one month on our very sick dog - Dr. Schaad gave us multiple discounts when I had to bring the cats back in a few weeks later for the... Read more

I have been going to Broadway Veterinary Clinic for about 5 years now and highly recommend them. A couple things that stood out were during a time that my dog was very ill and had to be taken to Dove Lewis for care. The veterinarian loaded me up with meds and IV's to take with me over to Dove Lewis because the cost was much less for me to purchase these at Broadway. That is something I have never had done by any vet and something I would have never thought to ask for. Also, my dog had an ear infection one time and the Veterinarian let me go in the back to see the infection in the microscope for myself. I thought that was fascinating to see and have never had that type of personal treatment for myself or my pet.

I have taken my dog to Broadway on and off over the years and their staff has become increasingly rude and unsympathetic. There is one receptionist in particular that acts as if you've really disturbed her and she does not have time for you. She has alarmingly bad attitude. However my worst experience was yesterday my dog was in severe pain, yelping practically screaming for no apparent reason. I was terrified and called Broadway to let them know my boyfriend was going to rush her over. When he arrived he was met at the front desk by Marie who before checking to see if my dog was stable demanded that he pay a past due amount of $66 dollars and pay upfront for the visit. While I do not mind paying the past due bill I find it very disturbing that this took precedence over my dogs life and health. I feel caring about animals should be number 1 at a veterinary office not their bottom line. And really $66! That is just not enough to risk my dogs life over. I will never return and urge other... The vets at Broadway Veterinary Clinic always give us new information about cats that goes beyond what we have learned from reading cat books and websites. They give us helpful guidance and don't make us feel guilty when we do bad cat owner things like letting our cats get chubby or go outside - they just give us gentle advice on what the best practices are, and practical tips for how to minimize the risks. They also give our cats nice compliments and treat them with tenderness, and thorough attention, and they explain what they're doing and what it will cost in a way that shows consideration for our cats and also for us. I always feel good about taking our cats to these vets.
