Fri May 29 2009Of course it was only a matter of time - I was pre-destined to rent this as a DVD or watch on PPV. The first hook being that I'm almost always sucked into any movie that is based in NYC (same as ones that take place in the UK, Ireland, the East Coast, middle ages, 18th & 19th centuries, Chicago and almost anything based on classic lit.) it's just kind of a weird personal filtering system that's developed over many years. I’m not certain there actually was a second hook but there were a few reservations - one the main ones being Kate Hudson – who I often refer to as Goldie Lite. I was all geared up to make a few snide comments when I suddenly realized that this dueling Bridezillas for the big screen was actually entertaining. Both actresses did a stellar job with their “best friends gone suddenly selfish, overbearing beoytch” roles backstabbing each other throughout with humorous gusto. Wed May 13 2009Well mixed feelings on this movie... I bought it before I watched it. It does have some hilarious moments.... but otherwise, just a good story overall..... kate hudson is hilarious!
