Paul Bartak and Holly Golightly share a common conflict that somehow in their quest for their dreams in life, Paul wants to be a writer and Holly to escape the poverty of her childhood, they find themselves losing sight of those dreams and have slowly sold out their dignity in accepting relationships that are nothing more than benefactors. Paul is the first to discover his delusion but only after he realizes his manhood is at stake and that saving the lost and lonely Holly is far more desirable than being the kept man to a wealthy mistress. THIS IS A CLASSIC, BEYOND MANY OTHERS. If you've never seen this movie and you enjoy classics, you MUST SEE THIS. You'll appreciate classic cinema more, you'll see the beauty in Audrey Hepburn, you'll understand why Tiffany's has the name it does today. Plus, you hear Moon River, which is such a lovely song and it fits so well with the story. I can't drone on and on about this movie, because it's time wasted that you could've spent going out and renting/buying this film. You need to see this movie at least once before you die, so go out and watch it today!

This movie was definitely GREAT. it was the best I've seen, I guess. Could you ever imagine a modern-day Holly Golightly? I mean someone who wants to live fast and marry rich? I bet there's a lot. But with Audrey playing Holly, it's quite different. You just can't and don't want to hate her. She was very lucky meeting a decent and handsome man like Paul Varjak, who'd be crazy enough to resist?

Love this movie with one big exception, you know the problem. I saw this when it first came out and was astonished at Mickey Rooney's performance even then. It would have been barely O.K. when we were in the middle of WWII and were bashing the Japanese in film to whip up pro-war sentiments. How could Mickey have even delivered a performance like that! If they could go back and digitally remove M.R.'s part and put in almost anything it would be an improvement. Also George Peppard's only decent acting job.

I loved this movie so much that I went out and bought it- for those that know me know that this is a big deal- for those that don't, just take my word for it. It's has a creative plotline and follows the book fairly well (I like it better than the book to tell the truth). The theme song "Moon River" has become one of my favorites- Audrey Hepburn has such a pretty voice.

Being a big fan of Audreys, I highly recommend this film, to any and all people, that appreciate a film, full of layers, and deep sentimental value, that goes beyond the obvious. A story intermitten with love, comedy, tragedy, controversy, and of course a "cat", is a treat and sweet release from the narrowminded, witless films that we have in cinema today. I personally felt this was one of Audreys strongest roles, and she played it brilliantly. Moon River is one of my favorite film scores, and I can't get enough of that fabulous mile long cigarette holder! So the next time you decide to watch a film that is out of the norm ( but in a very good way ) have a little "breakfast at Tiffany's "~

One of my very favorite movies of all time!

I loved the movie because I love Audrey Hepburn. I loved the bouffant hairdo she had in the movie, and I loved her costumes-particulary the sleeveless black sheath with the long black kid gloves. And the party scene-where she keeps running into people with her long cigarette holder is pretty funny.

A pretty good movie. Audrey Hepburn was good as Holly Golightly the country girl who came to the big city to marry a very rich man. She meets men by being an escort to them or as she says $50.00 to go the the powder room. She never admits to really being a prostitute. a new man moves in to an apartment above her and they strike up a friendship. he is a struggling writer.both have their problems. Of course there is the hope that they end up together. I also read the book and they have different endings. the only complaint i would have is Mickey Rooney although a great actor had a dumb role in this movie{he played an asian man} and it is a bit dated from the sixties.

There's a whole, whole lot going on in this movie - nine lives for all her different ways of life, masks, comedy, tragedy, pathos...I like the undercurrent of seaminess - Peppard's a gigolo and it's never actually stated but Hepburn appears to be something of a call girl. I like how she's loveable and cold at the same time. Capote really captured how flighty women like this tick. She's so cute you forgive her nuttiness. The ending with the cat in the rain is a tearjerker. I fell in love with this film.

This movie was, like, totally boring. Who wants to watch a talentless crone smoking cigarettes and prostituting herself?

audrey was awesome in this. one of my favorites.

I hated this movie because of Mickey Rooney's performance. He was terrible, honestly. He donned coke-bottle glasses and buck teeth to play a Japanese guy. How mean can Rooney be? Seriously, Being asian is not a crime. And Audrey Hepburn, She didn't seem to pack much talent. She was more of the looks type. She was famous because she packed visually, not talent.

A wonderful movie. Stars today just don't have the glamour that Audrey conveyed. Wild, wacky, and touching. Definitely a movie to see when you're feeling blue or want to escape from the wild world of today back to a simpler era.

At the moment Hepburn raises her mask she is angry, sad, ellated, confused, surprised, and refined all at once. It is the most beautiful thing ever caught on film. I'll hum "Moon River" to myself all night now.

I adore this movie. Audrey *IS* Holly Golightly. It is hard to believe that Truman Capote actually wanted Marilyn Monroe for the part! Some criticize the movie because of how different it was from the novel, but personally I thought the movie was better. Call me sappy, but I love the happy ending. There are so many things that I love about this movie! Audrey, Moon River, the hilarious party scene, "cat", Audrey's dresses, the happy yet STRONG ending.. I could go on and on.

This is a Truman Capote story and if you liked the movie you should read the book. Audrey Hepburn, in my opinion, is one of the most cutest women that have ever lived. She is the kind of little woman who can always get her way with you. I wish that Hollywood had more actresses with her charisma in todays movie genre, but we don't. What Hollywood is trying to pawn off to the public as attractive is lame. They're trying to sell society fake Irvine women done up in plastic surgery, cell phones, and BMW's. I don't like it myself, I've dated enough Irvine women and they're shallow and boring. We need more Audrey Hepburns in this world. This movie is a classic in many respects, and perhaps I like it because George Peppards character is a writer of short stories ('Nine Lives' in the movie, nine lives, nine stories) and being a writer myself I know what it's like to fall in love with a woman like Audrey Hepburn. if you look into the movie its about a slutty girl who sells her body for the slightest things such as feeding her cat. She befriends a gigalo and then they fall in love. Overall this movie sucked and i would sincerely reccomend not seeing it.

George Peppand and Audrey Hepburn star in this movie. This is one of America's best romances. Tortured lovers, private tradegies, and a happy ending. It is beautiful.
