The first time I went to Brandon Keith I had my hair blown out straight (I have curly hair) - and Brandon did the BEST job. I have had my hair straightened many times but he actually made it look exactly the way I wanted (for the first time in my life) and made the whole process fun. I have now had my hair cut by Brandon twice, and both times he did an amazing job. First of all, he listened to me, second he cut it exactly how he said he would - the length, the layering, etc - and third, both times it looked fantastic. He is consistent, gives me a perfect hair cut, is a great guy, and I trust him completely. And, everyone I have ever interacted with at the studio has been terrific and made for an all around awesome experience. All in all, I have felt 100% taken care of and am 100% satisfied by my experience there. I highly recommend going there if you can't tell!

I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Brandon without a wait and I'm so glad I went! Not only was everyone friendly and I felt comfortable, Brandon listened to what I wanted for my cut and color. I have never been more pleased. I decided upon this salon for my special prom haircut after it was recommended to me by a friend. I showed up with a basic idea of what I wanted, but pretty much no color plans. This was no problem, though, as Brandon was great at both doing the cut I wanted, and deciding on an amazing color scheme. This was by far the best haircut I've ever had, and well worth the price. I'll definately have to come back, even if I have no special events to look especially amazing for.

My sister has been going to Melissa for over 10 years and is always telling me how she can't live with out her. When I was looking to change things up and try a new cutting edge bob, I decided to make the trip to Newbury Street for an appointment with Melissa... I was not disappointed... Melissa not only gave me the best cut I have ever had, but I now have strangers stopping me and friends asking who cut my hair. I also had a deep conditioning treatment which was out of this world. after researching high and low throughout boston for a new stylist i happen to come across brandon keith salon and after much deliberation i decided to give him a whirl.i could not be more happier! the staff was super friendly, and down to earth, the salon was very edgy and modern but still very intimate and personable. brandon himself was just a gem - a complete artist. not only is he extremely talented but very interested in your own style and how he can incorporate that into your hair. i gave him the freedom to cut and color what he thought was going to look great on me intime for the spring and the finish product was dynamite!!! highly recomended!!! and he is very handsome too!!

First of all, Brandon does the best blowout ever. He did exactly what I had envisioned but didn't think any one would every really get right (I have had my hair done this way before, always good but not quite what I had envisioned). I was even complimented by a news anchor woman - who I imagine is familiar with getting her hair professionally done - at the event I attended among many other compliments I received throughout the evening. But almost equally as important in my mind is that I was treated so well. Megan, the woman who washed my hair was great with me, Brandon was great with me, and Karla, the makeup artist offered her expertise generously. I highly recommend going here if you are off to an event and looking to look and feel great! I also imagine you would get a great hair cut here, although I did not have that done.

My roommate had been going to Leon for a few years while she was in college and has been a faithful client to this very day. She even followed him from his old salon to Brandon Keith's Hair. I took her raving recommendation and tried out the salon and Leon and I have not regretted my decision since. I don't trust just anyone with my Asian hair, but he knew exactly how to handle it and gave me the best and most stylish haircut & color I've ever had! He gives me the cut I want and doesn't pressure me into wearing a hair style I"m not comfortable with. He even trims my bangs for free between cuts; can't beat that in this economy! I've had my fair share of crappy haircuts and dealt with stylists that treat their clients as a factory worker treats a product on an assembly line, but Leon is so personable and professional that I've officially made him my only Boston hair stylist that I'll go to.

I followed Jacqui to BrandonKeithHair because she is an artist with color. I'll admit it--my hair is turning gray. As it has changed over the past few years, she has worked with the formula so it always looks great! My hair is often complimented on by strangers!!! I really love going to this salon too. Everyone is very friendly and the place is beautiful!

I admit, I follow Jacqui around wherever she's working--she's that good. But it's really nice to see that she has found a salon that can complement her talents. The place is beautiful, the staff friendly, and the location is excellent. But if you're worried about the Newbury St. location, don't; the cost is reasonable and there is no pretension here. Always professional, and always get what I ask for. Recommended!

I've had some great experiences at Brandon Keith. Orestes always does an amazing job - he has a friendly personality, always listens to what I want and gives constructive input. I genuinely trust his work. The atmosphere is upbeat and modern, yet relaxing. I'll be a longtime customer!

I was a first timer, going to Brandon based on color product and reviews here. The office person was very helpful and called me back after checking on a request. All staff was friendly, not pretentious at all. Brandon listened to my long list of wishes, made modest suggestions without pushing his opinions, and proceeded to cut and color in ways I"d never seen before. The result was totally fabulous. I cannot believe he got the color so right the first time, and I'm a copper blonde, not easy at all.

I went to Brandon Keith's a couple of weeks ago after reading all the great reviews on Citysearch. I've never been very happy with hairstylists before, so I decided to splash out and see if a "professional" hairstylist really would make a difference. And it sure did!! I had my hair cut and highlights put in by Brandon and he did an amazing job, I LOVE my hair now! I wanted something stylish, easy to deal with and a cut that suited my face and lifestyle. I got all that and more!! The receptionist was really friendly and made great tea, the little dog is adorable and all-in-all I had a great experience. A bit pricey, but well worth it! When I got home my husband promptly took me out for dinner and I even got compliments from a complete stranger in the restroom, that has never happened to me before!! When I've saved up some more money I will be back!

Still regret I went there. My haircut now it completely different from what I wanted, plus the person who did my hair managed to pull my hair carelessly I had to stop him and burned me twice...hurtful experience. Will never go there again, although everyone was too nice, probably because the haircut I've got is a total disaster.

This salon the best salon I have ever been in Boston. It is not only the ambiance, location and extraordinary service that Brandon Keith salon offers but also how friendly and nice the people who work there are. This salon is not like your typical Newbury street salon in where you only get a lot of attitude and an average haircut. In Brandon Keith, as soon as you go in, you feel special--its stylists Brandon Keith and Herol are just out of this world amazing. My haircut and highlights were amazing, as soon as I got home I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror, I got exactly what I wanted and more. I have gotten so many compliments, I'm definitely going back, this salon is totally worth your money!!!!!

I found Brandon Keith Hair here on citysearch, and even after reading all of the marvelous reviews of this place, I was STILL unprepared for the amazing experience I ended up having. The ambiance was wonderfully warm and friendly. Stepping into the salon for the first time, I felt overwhelmed by its chic/hip/coolness factor. But everyone immediately makes you feel right at home and completely welcome. And wow, do they definitely know what they're doing with hair! Well my friend Shannon was the guinea pig and went to Brandon Keith Hair to try it....we both were looking for a new salon and i made her go first! Well she went to Brandon and loved it so then i went. Well i have to say....i am not exagerrating, Brandon gave me the best highlights and cut i have ever had...and he completely took control and knew what would look best on me.....needless to say my friend and I have found our salon!!!! After two unsatisfactory experiences in other Newbury Street salons, I finally found an awesome salon and stylist. Brandon Keith Hair is an extremely professional shop with excellent customer service. From the way I was welcomed to how my color turned out, I was completely satisfied. Brandon is extremely personable and did an amazing job with my stubborn, prematurely graying hair. Even though it was a single process, Brandon gave my hair just the right amount of coverage to cover the gray and still let some dimensionality show through. The color is shiny and rich and looks great!

As a Style Editor for a national publication, I've been to hundreds of salons and had my hair cut, colored, highlighted, foiled, frosted, razored, burned (yes, burned- "cut" using the flame of a candle- gross), treated, conditioned, and more from LA to NY and everywhere in between. I still go to LA bi-monthly, where I have the opportunity to get anything done to my hair that I want- for free. And yet I'd much rather go to Brandon. I love Brandon because not only is he a fabulous stylist, he doesn't have the 'Newbury stylist attitude' that screams "I think I should be in NY, but I'm not because I'm blessing you all with my presence." He's amazing, he knows it, but he's not an a**hole. I also love the salon- the decor, the other stylists, and especially the receptionist and assistants. Fabulous AND friendly- imagine that!?! After reading all the great reviews other people had written about Brandon Keith Hair, I decided I would try it out. I got an appointment with Brandon who is great. This was the first time someone cut my hair in a way that will look the best on me. I have very curly hair and have hated every cut I have gotten in the past when the stylest made my hair shorter than I wanted. Brandon assured me that it was going to look great on me and it would look healthy. It definitely does and I couldn't love it more! The color is also great. I definitely recommend this salon. I have been looking for a hairstylist in Boston after my stylist left town. On the eve of Thanksgiving I walked down Newbury St and walked into the first salon I came across and it happened to be Brandon Keith. I met LEON, who turned out to be a superb sytlist. Before he set off to work on my hair, we had a chat about what kind of style I would like and very quickly he put me at ease. This is rare because some stylists always think they know what's best for you instead of listening to what your concerns and ideas might be. I explained to him that I wanted a radical change as I was fed up with my current hair style and was afraid that my hair had taken a severe beating due to stress and extreme weather changes. BrandonKeithHair is the best salon I've been to because of the sheer talent of the staff and the beautiful atmosphere. Instead of feeling silly sitting around with foils in my hair, I was treated to scones, beverages, and genuinely nice people. Time flew and my hair, which had been botched at another Newbury Street salon, now looks fantastic. Do yourself a favor and visit Brandon!

This place is great - no pretentiousness, just remarkable stylists in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I have seen Melissa several times - amazingly, I get compliments the minute I leave and for weeks afterwards - some by people I don't even know! If you need a cut or a cut and color or a new look - GO TO BRANDON KEITH - You will not be disappointed...I have been up and down Newbury and can finally say I have found my spot! I say close all the other salons - this is all you need!

I responded to a model call and was hesitant, at first, to have highlights added but upon meeting Andre (so sweet!) and talking with Brandon Kieth, I would have let them do anything they wanted! They removed any doubts I may have had as to what the outcome would be. I had been keeping my hair color as close to natural since I started coloring; I hate the streaky, highlighted look. But Andre promised the change would be subtle and Brandon assured me it would look natural; sunkissed. After the highlighting was completed by Andre, who did an excellent job, Brandon cut my hair. They changed my whole look and I have gotten so many compliments on both the color and the cut. I think he took off about ten years! Everyone thinks that my hair was lightened from being on a beach vacation!! The experience was completey professional. Their recommendations were "right on".

I found BrandonKeith from an ad for a 'model' (go craigslist!) for one of their junior stylists. I have done this before at other salons for the deep discounts and am usually satisfied since the stylist-in-training is always supervised. Here, however, Brandon, the owner, did not just pass by occasionally, but kept his eye on his trainee at all times and corrected him when necessary. At first I thought this must be intimidating for the trainee, Andrae, but then I realized that he must be learning an immense quantity of information every single time he cuts hair. The cut I received in the end was fabulous. I showed them the picture of the style I wanted and they endeavored to create exactly that cut. Andrae was adept and will one day be an excellent stylist and Brandon knew exactly where guidance was required and where it was not. Finally, unlike some other salons where I have treated poorly due to my 'model' status, this was not the case here. They were all very nice and friendly.

I was referred to Brandon Keith salon and wasn't sure what to expect. I was experiencing "bad hair" and needed a re-do, everything from getting rid of the old dye job from the 4 months prior, to controlling my out of control big hair. Not to generalize, but sometimes it is a bit scary to walk into a Newbury St. salon, thinking it will cost a fortune, they won't give you the time of day, etc. As soon as I walked in to Brandon's place, I knew that I would be "a-ok". It is not too big, beautifully decorated, and inviting. The music was very relaxed, and as I entered the salon, there was Brandon himself, smiling and saying "May I help you?" It was the best color and cut that I've had in years, and I continue to put my hair in their hands. I recommend this salon highly...very close to Copley Station, and a short walk away from Starbucks.

I decided to try Brandon Keith Hair after 'hopping' around the larger salons on Newbury and never feeling satisfied with the outcome. My hair is very fine and can easily look a frazzled mess if not handled with care. Both the condition of my hair and my color were terrible before I walked into an appointment with Rick and my 'style' was non-existent. I loved the intimate and relaxed setting of the salon, all the staff were warm and friendly. Rick took time to listen to what I wanted to get out of the visit and it showed! I came out of the salon with EXACTLY the cut and color I was hoping for. I wasn't even sure if the long bangs I'd requested would work with my fine hair but Rick did such an expert job that my he somehow made my dull, lifeless hair look full, healthy and luxurious! I've been a client of Melissa's for a few years now (prior to her having joined BKH) but I've always asked her to give me the same boring old cut (...which she did perfectly). When I finally decided to make a *big* change last week (read: really long to really short) she completely rose to the challenge. I LOVE my short hair and my husband, who swore he preferred my hair long...well, let's just say he really likes it, too. ;) I am recommending BKH - especially Melissa! - to all of my friends.

I love BrandonKeith. Not only is my stylist/colorist, Melissa, the Best.... but everyone treats you like a "goddess" the moment you enter the door. I recently had my hair done by Brandon....it was by far the best cut/color I've ever had. He really knew how to transform my look from boring to fabulous!! the color was amazing and the cut really shows he knows what he's doing!! THE BEST! My rocker boyfriend wanted a completely new look and Brandon Keith transformed him into an ultra sexyyy rocker. All his friends are commenting on what an Absolute Artist Brandon Keith is (seriously, the word they are using is "artist") to have created such a serious sense of style for my man. I visited Brandon Keith recently to color my new hair, complete with extensions. I'm also Asian to complicated things (it's very difficult to lighten Asian hair without making it orange) but Phillipo impressed me and I am going back again and again! Beautiful color and cut, with the least brassiest highlights I have ever seen on an Asian (myself included!). He succeeded in making some strands platinum blonde without bleach, which is akin to performing a miracle when it comes to my hair. Fixed my butchered bangs beautifully (ruined by a stylist at James Joseph Salon) and they fall perfectly on my forehead. Phillipo is also a master at blowouts - best blowout of my life, and is a hilarious person to talk to. But most importantly, I have never received so many compliments on my hair!

I have been a couple times now to this relatively new salon on Newbury Street and I find myself continually impressed by the quality of the services for the price. A young lady cut my hair the first time I was there and did a great job. The second time I let a brand new stylist test his wares and was blown away. Andre used to be an assistant and had shampooed me both times I was there. He has fingers that feel like extensions from a magic wand. You have not lived until this man has massaged your scalp! The only reason I ask him to cut my hair in the first place was based on the idea that anyone with fingers that can rub like that, must be able to cut well too. As for the haircut I was incredibly impressed. He took his time, showed a lot of skill and great creativity. He even convinced me to go shorter than I am usually comfortable with. I highly recommend trying him and the salon out.

I stumbled upon BKH looking for a new place to get my styled. I had the absoltue pleasue of having Brandon style and color my hair and was blown away by his artistry. The intensity he exudes as he sculpts and layers color is awesome. I am a Brandon Keith groupie. I love the salon. It is inviting and modern and all of the staff is attentive and highly professional. I have seen the varied clientel they work with and everyone receives the same amount of attention and professionalism they deserve. Much kudos to Brandon for bringing his vibe to this city and for adding a great work staff such as Leon to his fold. I highly reccomend stopping in for a style, a color, a visit. You will not be dissapointed.

I dont usually write reviews, but I truly had the best experience at a hair salon I have ever had (i'm 30). I loved the decor (lots of fun art), loved the people, LOVE my hair now! Melissa did my color and cut and she is amazing! The owner, Brandon, was awesome and so was everyone else in the salon. Great atmosphere, great people, great work. Everyone seemed experienced and fun, and Melissa gave me the best cut and color ever! I've waited a long time to find a salon like this, I highly recommend it! definite 5+ stars!!

I came to Brandon Keith a little on the unsure side but after leaving I'm definitely hooked. I was originally scheduled for a haircut but after talking I decided I wanted to change my color. Ever since my old stylist disappeared, I've been searching for someone who I can actually trust with my curly hair - I'm so happy that I finally found Rick! He managed to satisfy the side of me that wanted a change *and* the side that's so nervous about doing anything too drastic. I feel like Rick completely revived my hair - my new cut is both more fun and more sophisticated, and I really feel like it suits me. And if it wasn't enough that I absolutely love it, I've also never gotten so many compliments on a haircut in my life! The atmosphere at Brandon Keith is chic and vibrant, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and everyone I saw left there looking fabulous. Needless to say, I'll be going back!

This salon is fab. From the colorful high fashion murals, animal and velvet clad furniture and disco ball hanging above the sinks BK screams hip, high-fashion, glam-sophisticate. Great for the up and coming Boston movers and shakers BK provides great service and results. I was able to get my haircut from the owner who is innovative, attentive, a true visionary. The staff is funky-chic and communicate well with customers and staff. Music is obviously a big influence at BK- which, the couple times I have been in have been pumping some of todays hottest tunes from super-pop to gritty rock which makes you forget youre located in Brahmin Boston and makes you feel more like you're in progressive New-York (needless to say Boston could use more progression =). For any of you strolling the streets in Boston or maybe you're living in Back Bay I can honestly say please check this place out, it's amazing. It's like what you see on TV and it's right in the middle of Boston. CAPITALIZE.

I went into Brandon Keith salon last Weds. as a model for a haircutting class. From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated like a celebrity, I felt like gold the whole time =) Andrae, Brandon, Melissa and Leon couldn't be any sweeter. I walked in w/frizzy lifeless curls, in need of a serious trim, and fading color....Brandon & Andrae transformed me into a butterfly again! Amazing highlights, and a fantastic razor cut! Total 180 transformation, I love it! I can't stress enough what a great salon this is, since Weds. night it's been Brandon Keith Hair 24/7...I've never received so many compliments, my hair actually has a style now =) I would definately give this two thumbs up, highly reccomend becoming a lifelong client here! I went in as a model for a class that they had and came out a movie star. Holy ****!! I just needed a change and saw an advertisement that they needed models for a workshop they were doing, not sure at all what to expect. I got these great vibrant highlights and a totally edgy , choppy razor cut. I don't know exactly what they did but this place is awesome! this is DEFINATELY my new place!

Like most people I have serious trust issues when it comes to hair dressers. I think that I have had 3 in my entire life. Rick Fogarty is amazing. I starting a job on Monday and needed the perfect cut and color so I knew just where to go. BKH was great. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Rick discussed what I wanted with me and really listened. My highlights came out looking totally natural, and the cut was just as styled as I needed it. I walked out feeling like a movie start, ready to take on my new job and anything else. It even passed the next day test.

I read about Brandon Keith's great personality and rock style hair cuts online and was not disappointed! Brandon and the newest addition to his hair team did an amazing job with my highlights. Lets just say, I havn't been happy with my hair in the past two years..I had been jumping around from hairdresser to hairdresser and no one was doing the trick. When I heared Brendan opened up his own place on Newbury, I was super excited and couldnt wait till I had roots again to call him up! He gave me the BEST color ever, the best haircut and I couldn't be more happy. Brendan knows his stuff...not afraid to try something new/different and is a sweetheart. I was walking around Newbury Street looking for a new salon to try out and Brandon Keith Hair totally caught my eye. Upon my arrival I was instantly greeted very warmly by not only the receptionist, but Brandon Keith himself. I looked at the prices and requested one of the other stylists because of the cheaper price. Brandon said that he wanted to do my hair himself and not to worry about the difference in prices. I was thrilled. He was so excited about doing my hair that it was infectious. Immediately after sitting down, he asked if I wanted to try some color and he had just the thing in mind. I went to Brandon keith hair earlier today to get my hair highlighted and its amazing! I saw Melissa who i guess specializes in coloring and it shows. I have been up and down Newbury street for years never really satisfied with my color. I have dark hair so its hard to get my highlights how i like it. I have had brassy highlights one too many times. Well not this time. Melissa gave me these beautiful caramel highlights that compliment my dark hair perfectly. The salon was nice too. They offered me something to drink and were really nice. I would definately recommend this salon and especially Melissa.
