You gotta love this car. I don't even know how BMW does it. They put so much time and effort into making their cars perfect. Interior finishes, exterior styling, interior layout, colors, options, packages, technology, all come sublimely together at their best in the BMW 3-series. One thing they certainly have above others is quality and intuitive interiors. Most people would probably say that the interior of their 3 is leather lined, when in fact no BMW has a leather-lined interior (it will be an option on the all-new 2009 BMW 7-series). What is it then? It is a faux leather that BMW spent millions of dollars specially engineering to look and feel just like real leather (created for the current line-up, i.e. the 2003 and before 3's wouldn't have this). It makes the interior rich and luxurious. There cars are beautiful, they're powerful, the standard options are admirable and all other options and packages are reasonably priced. I love driving this car and plan only to have BMW's for th... Read more

i'm 17 and just got a new 06 330xi. I love it and it does great in the snow! It has pretty good torq and love driving it where ever i go. It needs to pick it up in 3rd gear though. Once i put the stick into 4th gear, the power just disappears.

This is the first time Im posting an opinion. BMW is a great make. This is our second Bimmer and its proving to be a great investment. I noticed as I was browsing some of the other options, that someone placed a comment of "BUY AMERICAN", obviously this person has never driven German. Beuatiful and fun car to drive!

I've owned American made cars and have regreted every one of them. They fall apart at every turn. Then I bought a Nissan - and still talk about what a good car that was. After living in Europe for 3 1/2 years, I returned needing a wagon and bought a Jetta 1.8T. Love at drive with the German engineering. Test drove Audi, Lexus, Volvo for this car purchase and for incredible engineering, styling, and re-sale - my 325i with the sport and winter package is top of the heap. If you're concerned with gas mileage - this is not the car for you. If you can afford it, this is where you'll want to end up. Wow! By the way, our other car is an '06 530i. It's an entirely different car.

The competition is closing in on this Bavarian Bad Boy. While I'm not crazy about the new Bimmers styling, there is no denying the capabilities of this legendary series. The wonderful dynamics of the chassis , and the excellent driving ergonomics ie; pedal placement, laterally suportive seats, and the perfect action of the various 5-6 speed transmissions, give the 3 series its well earned reputation as being the Ultimate Driving Machine. 5 stars for the alien beast known as the M3!

The 3-Series is by far the class leader. It has perfect engineering. What's not to like about this car? It's fast, has excellent turning, excellent reliability, excellent resale values, excellent acceleration... get the picture?

I have the new 330Xi. Let's just say BMW rules and anyone against it hasn't been in one or can't drive.

Every thing about the 3 series seems nice EXCEPT for the manual shift. At least in the 2000 model that had a transmission made in France, the shift seemed to stick before it went into gear - not that satisfying ker-chunk you might expect from a semi-expensive German car. I am curious if other car-hounds have the same opinion, or if the shift wears in and gets smoother - this was a 7 mile vehicle.
