Wed Sep 17 2008With flavors that range from mildly sweet to tart and tangy, blueberries are nutritional stars bursting with nutrition and flavor while being very low in calories.

Thu May 26 2005Sweet and incredibly healthy. I will say that in some cases they are green inside, but they taste better than a gooseberry.

Tue Apr 19 2005I like them in muffins, pancakes, etc only raw, they just don't appeal to me.

Wed Sep 29 2004I like blueberries alone or on cereal, and that's about it, that I know of. I've had some bad blueberry pies, but maybe I just haven't tried a really good one made with fresh blueberries.

Tue Sep 28 2004Blueberries are the ultimate berry, and probably the ultimate fruit as well. Not only are they one of the healthiest foods available, but they taste really good too. Whenever I get a package, I can't help myself --- I eat them all in one sitting! On the downside, they can be expensive in the South. If you live in northern states like Michigan however, you can sometimes find them in the wild.

Wed Aug 18 2004I am going to have to agree with rainer21. The texture is bad and the flavor is worse.

Sun Aug 08 2004Blueberries have always seemed overrated to me. While I loved picking them on sunny mornings, the texture and taste - and the blue stains all over my hands and clothes - were never appealing to me. In desserts, especially when warm, they are delicious, but by itself, the blueberry leaves something to be desired.

Fri Sep 19 2003"Decockster" is on the money with how healthy they are for mind/body. "The darker the berry, the better is for you...and thats the bottom line

Mon Jun 23 2003Blueberrie are great in pies, and they taste good when they are freshly picked. They go bad quickly though, and sometimes they just aren' real good.

Mon Mar 17 2003Blueberries are delicious, but if anyone has ever picked them, you know it's no picnic! Filling a bucket with blueberries can take hours, plus the damn things tend to roll out of your hands and onto the ground. I love blueberry muffins, though, so I guess the torture of picking wild blueberries in July makes up for it!

Sun Feb 10 2002Comforting,happy childhood memories, picking blueberries(winberries,we call them locally)on the hills,on a warm, clear day, with a soft breeze-then the excitement at selling some to the local store and mum's delicious hot pie for pudding!.In Britain, they're terribly underused;what a treat to have the gorgeous melting muffins and pancakes in Canada(i know they're an American speciality too). And i've always liked the way they leave their calling card;you don't have to be Sherlock to spot the blueberry thief!

Fri Nov 02 2001Blueberries are delightful, cool, crisp, and you just can't beat blueberry pancakes!

Tue Sep 11 2001Blueberries are another versitile fruit--they go well in muffins, pies, cobblers, and so many other things, except one thing--I don't like the way they taste by themselves. I just can't eat plain blueberries. They seem deprived of flavor when eaten "raw".

Mon Sep 10 2001Oh my... Blueberries. What can one say? They're good for all sort of baking; muffins, scones, cakes, desserts etc. They're great just on their own or with a little cream and sugar on top. I love going to pick bluberries inbetween rocks and see all the blue stick to my fingers. Only annoying part is that blueberry is so freaking hard to get out of your skin or worse, your clothes.
