My skin has come a long, long way thanks to Andrew at Blue Turtle Spa. I came in with a variety of problems and I can honestly say that because of Andrew's knowledge and work my skin and confidence have improved greatly. If you have any problems with your skin I would highly advise you to go and visit Andrew. You will be able to see your skin looking softer and younger if you follow his instruction. I really cant say enough about my tremendous experience with Blue Turtle Spa.

I have been struggling with rosacea, which was properly diagnosed by a physician, for approximately two years. I had seen several of ?the best? dermatologists in Georgia. All of which recommended bacteria fighting ingredients, which further irritated my skin and prevented the healing process. My skin was bright red and became swollen and significantly inflamed when exposed to sunlight and when I consumed certain foods. I had spent several hundred dollars on laser treatments and skin care products in an attempt to limit the progression of the disease, which did not effectively treat my condition. In my continual search for relief, I stumbled upon a PDF rosacea document on the internet, which was written by Andrew Scoular. I've encountered over 10 skin consultants in my lifetime and Andrew is by far the most knowledgable. Not only does he give the most attentive,relaxing and pampering experience, but he also recommends products and ways to take care of your skin. Other facialists are usually very secretive about the products they use, but Andrew is very open and honest with the products that he uses and will tell you how they work and help clear up your skin.As a board certified specialty pharmacist, I am very particular about the products that I use. I have checked out the products that Andrew has recommend to me, and I find them to be less harsh than what I have tried. His products are also affordable and has ingredients that are not harsh to the skin. Andrew charges prices that are below others, but yet gives better service. Scoular is the esthetician behind this fairly small West Portal spa, where customers get a good dose of skin care education (how to get rid of those circles under your eyes, what to use to improve your complection) with even the most basic facial performed in the serene, garden-view space. Waxing and massage services are also available, as are packages that combine treatments.

When I first came to Blue Turtle Spa and met Andrew, I was really hoping that he would be the one to help me with my acne problems. The first appointment was amazing because Andrew had explained to me all about acne, and you can tell that Andrew is extremely well-educated in not just acne, but in all types of skin conditions. Also, just by listening and talking to him, you knew that he cared about your skin and that he was going to put you on the right track to having beautiful and healthy skin, and I know this because my skin has improved greatly over the course of three months. Andrew takes a meticulous, evidence-based approach to skin care, and carefully researches the products that he uses and recommends. I have confirmed the efficacy of a couple of products he suggested for me with an academic dermatologist. In addition to his careful selection of products, his expertise, and serene and warm personality make his facials a completely lovely and relaxing experience.

I have used the services of Blue Turtle Sap on a number of occasions and will be returning again very soon. The environment of the spa is clean, professional, and first class. Andrew is extremely good at what he does. You can tell right away that he is devoted to providing excellent service with detailed descriptions of what it is he is doing along with the theory and practice at every step in the process. Andrew is a perfectionist and that shows in his work. He uses the finest skin care products and tools and he is not afraid to switch to new products as the technology evolves. I never felt rushed or even noticed the passage of time while he was going through his procedures on my face. When he was done my face felt as if ten years of stress, age, and pollution had been gently washed away. I simply cannot recommend this spa highly enough.

Yes, I can be bare-faced without hesitation because my skin looks great. You must go to Andrew, he gives the most luxurious facial! and so gentle, I think I fell asleep to the wonderful music, my choice. I will definitely schedule another treatment. He was also so very knowledgable about products specific for me to use, with great value not just high priced creams. Love this guy!!!!

Until I had a facial with Andrew, I had thought that facials were a superficail luxury that did not have that much relevance to health. Previously I had not experienced someone who was scientifically informed and who spent time and energy to explain products and precedures to me. His skill, knowledge, and approach convinced me that having a facial with someone like him (a rare occurrence) truly is making a contribution to my own skin health and my overall well-being. His belief in what he is doing is apparent in his energy and his careful selection of products. I cannot recommend the Blue Turtle Spa enough. You have to try it yourself.

He is thoughtful with everything he does when it comes to helping you with your skin and your time at the spa. He gives you a choice of music and products, and carefully analyzes your face. The Love Your Skin facial left me peaceful, happy and glowing. Andrew KNOWS skin! And what we have to do to keep it healthy and young. Blue Turtle Spa changed the way I think about facials. Andrew has created a comfortable calming environment that makes the chaos of one's hectic life just drift away. A comfy warm bed, great art and music and view to a beautiful garden set the scene for one of the best facials I've ever had. Andrew is never rushed and spends time explaining his techniques and the properties of the high-quality products he uses. One leaves the spa not only looking and feeling great, but also with a good understanding of how to maintain one's self between visits (I wish they could be every day!).

I am so glad I discovered the Blue Turtle Spa. I don't know how I survived before BTS. Andrew is the most knowledgeable esthetician I have met, and he genuinely cares about your skin. Not only is he able to explain the effects of specific ingredients on different skin types, but he also gives the most wonderful facials. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable about skin care and cosmetic ingredients. He analyzes your skin, checks the ingredients in your products, and develops a game plan for you. He has an incredible gentle touch - I did not realize he was doing extractions til he was well into it - yet he got them all out. My face felt and looked wonderful - no red splotches and shine. He has great products which he cherry picks based on how they are made and what their ingredients are. I also had waxing done by Maureen - she was very gentle and it was almost painless (well kinda :-). My friend had a massage with Tonia - the most relaxing she has ever had. Tonia is a reiki practitioner and combines that in her massages. This is a great find. I feel totally comfortable with my skin now. Yay! The first thing I asked Andrew at Blue Turtle Spa was "will my face be all-red after?" he said, "No." and he was right! He educated me about my skin, taught me good practices for my skin and I can?t wait for my next appointment! I loved everything about this facial, from the minute I arrived until the moment I left... it was great, especially the service. Very relaxing, friendly staff, great place to get pampered!
