Not the healthiest of sandwiches but damn good! Chewy bacon strips on one piece of buttered toast w ketchup/mayo and of course the lettuce and tomato.

These screwball Islamic terrorists who think they're getting 72 virgins have it all wrong. These snakehandling fundamentalists who think that only people who can read The Bible backwards in a mixture of Klingon and Dutch are going to heaven are jackasses. In heaven( unless God appears and says I'm just shitting you, you're all going on the Greyhound buses to Peoria).... every day you get 73 BLT'S served to you by 73 nude ultra- nymphos.

A good one is beyond compare. A bad one, which is what you get in most coffee shops is like eating greasy cardboard.

Sorry...Bacon is great but I need more meat on my sandwiches. I'm also not a fan of tomatos, so my version would look more like a BL.

It tastes great (everything with bacon tastes great), but BLTs always leave me a little unsatisfied. The sandwich doesn't hold together very well, and it doesn't have much heft to it. You could eat two, but then it seems like you're getting mostly bread.

I know most people like tomato on their sandwich, but I'm not one of them.  Take the tomato off, add some cheese, and  I'll be happy.

BLT's always remind me of my mother. On lazy sunday afternoons she would whip up some quick and easy BLT's for the family. Taste great, and cheap, too.

One of my favorites during the summer. Even better is a BALT (add avocado).

Its great with venison bacon because the bacon does not shrink.  The downside is we have to rely on the greedy hunters of the family to give us some!

Not the healthiest thing to eat,but tasty enough as an occasional treat.I like the bacon done well, the tomato ripe & enough but not too much mayo. The delight of a good BLT is the harmonious contrast of flavors and textures.

Man this is the classic all american sandwich, even over a burger! I used to go with my dad to Howard Johnson's and get one of these all of the time.

This simple, classic is great - especially in the late summer when tomatoes are in season. I love to use Brownberry bread, about 3 slices of bacon, one huge slice of tomato and a little Hellman's mayo. A variation to this at my house is to use the same bread, keep the bacon and tomato - but replace the mayo with a little cream cheese (light works well too), the lettuce with sprouts and add a couple of fresh avacado slices.

The best thing about BLTs are they are easy to make. The name is the recipie, Bacon Lettuce and Tomato. Only way to screw up this sandwich is to over or under cook the bacon.
