This yoga studio has a nice neutral philosophy, which I prefer over the more spiritual studios. The staff are organized and friendly and the owner, Kerry, is one of my favorite teachers. The other teacher that I love is Molly - she is remarkably thoughtful. The atmosphere is bright and airy and they offer a great variety of programs outside of yoga like belly dance and parent/baby yoga. I love Bloom!

Aiming to change the perception of yoga as something exotic and new-agey and make it more approachable, this sunny Lincoln Square studio focuses on teaching its students the art of being present in the moment. Daily hatha and flow yoga classes are taught at all levels of experience in the buttery yellow-walled space. Expectant moms and new families can choose from a wealth of resources, including pre-natal yoga and mommy-and-me classes, as well as doula referrals and breastfeeding workshops. As an extension of the center's overall wellness mantra, students can receive hot rock, shiatsu, neuromuscular and other massages on the premises.

Bloom is a unique place. It is an embracing, accepting environment and offers a variety of classes and instructors, as well as massage therapists. The studios are spacious and beautiful, too. The best part of Bloom, though, is instructor, Sharon Walther. I started w/Sharon's classes a year ago and found her humor, positive energy, and immense knowledge of anatomy and yoga unrivaled. In fact, I've moved from Lincoln Square to a neighboring suburb and still drive into the city just to continue practicing with her when I can. I've tried various other studios, but none of them offer the combination of instructors, aesthetics, and energy that Bloom does. The people who run it are awfully nice, too.

Bloom has excellent and varied teachers; I have been going there long enough to have had teachers for awhile and then they move and I worry a new one won't be as good, but then I meet a new teacher and he or she is always as good as or better than the last. Everyone is positive and so knowledgeable, and all seem to have a nice level of spirituality to their practice. I love Bloom!

I adore this studio. I'm blown away by the variety of yoga instructors. Every teacher is different and has a wealth of knowledge. My husband is a yoga beginner, but feels totally comfy taking classes here and I've been practicing for many years and I still feel challenged and excited by the unique staff. I'm addicted to Bloom!

In Short Hence the name, this yoga studio lures a mommy clientele--both those expecting and those with tots in tow. Classes such as childbirth prep, nursing know-how and sign with your baby encourage blossoming and new moms to bond with babies, get exercise and take the guesswork out of parenting. In addition to yoga, hot rock, shiatsu, neuromuscular and other massages are offered to get the kinks out of weary bones.

If you want quality yoga instruction from a warm, friendly staff, go to Bloom. It's still new and the staff/owners really care about your experience. The space is also a plus, large, bright studios.
