Wed May 06 2009Always fresh, always good, ALWAYS just how you want it. And....you don't have to put your own mustard on the sandwich. They will actually do it for you because you pay them to do it (unlike one pretentious sandwich shop called Jimmy John's). Excellent sandwich every single time at Blimpie.

Tue Aug 19 2008Blimpies sub is closer to being an actual sub than what their chain competitors sell. That isn't saying that it worth buying, eating, or even being in the same room with.

Mon Jun 05 2006legendary in NYC area. Much more meat on it than Subway. And better quality. Same general idea tho.

Mon Jan 16 2006BLIMPEE IS BY FAR THE BETTER OR THE SUB SHOPS AS COMPARED TO SUBWAY (SORRY JARED). IT HAS A BETTER OVERALL TASTE, NOT THAT SUBWAY IS BAD OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, I JUST LOVE BLIMPEE MORE. SOMETHING ABOUT THE FLAVOR OF THEIR OIL & VINEGAR DRESSING ON THE LETTUCE AND TOMATOES AND ONIONS ON A TURKEY AND CHEESE SANDWHICH KEEPS ME COMING BACK.

Sun Jan 08 2006Blimpie's KNOWS how to make proper 'cold cut' sandwiches. Although heated subs (as are more popular in the Midwest) taste good too, there is NOTHING like a good tasting New York/New Jersey type COLD sub with quality meats on quality bread, with oil and vinegar sprinkled on top of the bread! mmmmm MMMMMM!!!! I am salivating like Pavlov's dog right now as I am writing this review! Blimpie's forever!!!

Sun Nov 13 2005Ordinarily, I wouldn't make negative comments about restaurants. But I've eaten in several Blimpies across the country and each one has had the nastiest food I've eaten, and the stores were filthy-dirty. I'm sure this is not true for all of them, "hopefully".

Mon Aug 02 2004Blimpie KICKS Subway's BUTT. Turkey regular, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard sauce... that's my usual!

Mon Jul 19 2004Blimpie is just a Subway wanna-be and it's not even very good at doing that. The food is crap. Give it up, Blimpie! Subway's kickin' your ass!

Thu Apr 22 2004Well, in my city, the servers are quick to take your order. But, if you can possibly get a sub that the bread isn't bordering on being in a brick-ish state, the sub may actually have a decent taste. The bread is almost always hard of too dark.

Thu Feb 26 2004A weak imitation of Subway - their sandwiches are also not as healthy

Tue Jul 08 2003Taken a business beating at the hands of Subway, but still in there. Cold cuts are poison, but if they're your thing, consider this a three-star rating.

Thu Apr 17 2003The secret to the great taste of blimpie is the fresh bread and the delicious cold cuts. The blimpie taste better than the subway sandwiches. After tasting the blimpie subs, I only buy blimpie subs now.

Fri Nov 08 2002For the past few years, I've gone to Blimpies several times a week. It was almost a joke, the way I was their most regular customer. But the last 3 or 4 times I have gone there, I couldn't even get waited on. It wasn't crowded: they have new workers at the one in our town, and they're lazy! They'll ignore you & wander around slowly behind the counter looking like they're trying to find something to do - anything but wait on the customer. Each of the last few times I was there, I very quietly gave up and walked out, and now I'm through with them. They had great food, but I don't need that kind of rudeness (Subway's been treating me well lately!).

Thu Apr 05 2001WE have a few Blimpies around the area, and they would be my last choice to go for a sub or sandwich. I live right across from a Mr. Subb which makes the best. Subway does it next. Then maybe Blimpie. They only serve subs, no soup and no tator tots or frence fries. The food sin't fresh and lays around all day.

Thu Dec 14 2000I had a bad experience at this place. I bought a sandwich at this place. They barely put any meat on my sandwich and too much lettuce. The sandwich tasted like crap! It tasted old.

Tue Jul 18 2000All right, if I am traveling and the rest stop only offers a Blimpies..I can get by with one of their subs. However, I would prefer going to a local delli, where the sub is not preordained with the regulated slices of cheese, on the spongey bread.

Fri Jun 23 2000Go home with your ridiculous Blimpie crap... (I once overheard the Blimpie owner, in the flesh, admit to trying to make his chain 'look and feel more like Subway' and he won't stop until 'customers simply can't tell a difference'. Mr. Bimpie, FYI: you have a ways to go.)

Fri Dec 10 1999It's WAAAAY better than Subway! They slice the meat and cheese in FRONT of you, Subway fans! Good stuff.

Sat Nov 27 1999Blimpie's is SOO much better than Subway, AND you also get about half your subs for free at Blimpies, since they have so many coupons and promotions.

Tue Oct 26 1999Blimpies kicks ass because their veggie sub is $1.81 and it's by far the best sub anywhere
