Wed Jun 23 2010no stars My advice to anyone contemplating buying a B & D garden vac is "DON'T". They are USELESS. The one I purchased picks up garden refuge and mulches it wonderfully. Then the bag blows off and blows the refuge everywhere including all over the user. I have written to B & D twice about this problem and guess what . . . No response. I think this means they know about the problem and don't care. So . . Buy a BOSCH !!

Wed Dec 16 2009Black and Decker warranties do not hold up. The item started leaking two months after purchase. In order to get them to honor the warrantee you have to cut off the cord from the product, send back the plug together with a check for $7.50 to cover shipping. You get to pay to get them to replace their garbage product.

Tue Dec 15 2009I purchased a Black and Decker 12 cup Programmable Coffeemaker Model CM1010B and the carafe broke the first day. Have spent 2 hours on line and can't find a replacement carafe for this model. Manufacturer said glass is not covered by warranty, but offered no solution. What crap.

Thu Dec 03 2009I recently purchased a CM1010B 12 cup programmable coffeemaker, It makes good coffee and I like my coffee. I make at least 3 pots a day. My complaint is with the pot. I have tried to pour coffee from it without it dripping. I found it impossiable to do. I have to hold it over the sink to pour a cup, when I do a up also goes down the drain. I am 60 years and can't drive to return it to the store, so basicly I am stuck with a pot that is defective. I have called your 1-800 number their response was if I have the receipt just return it. If only life was that easy. I realize I won't get a response to this complaint. It will just disappear.

Wed Jun 10 2009It appears the poor-quality knocks I've always heard against Black & Decker's crappy cordless products is absolutely true. Apparently their goal is to overcome an awful reputation with false-hype marketing campaigns that dupe consumers into wasting time, money, & effort by 'buying in' to the junk they dump on the public. They fooled me, (which is obviously what they count on), and scammed me on a pole hedger made in China, (no doubt with lead paint). I guess I had to learn the hard way about the worthless trash they churn out to gouge the market. I followed the instructions to the letter but the product only worked about 20min's before it needed recharging & steadily dropped off to nothing with each charge. It died completely after about the 4th use. My point of purchase, ($110.000 at Lowe's), just pawned me off to contact B&D. I tried, but to no avail. Nor does B & D, (Bad & Deplorable), have any feedback access on their web-site. That makes sense when it's all about profiteering fro... Read more

Wed Jul 30 2008I bought a cordless weed trimmer/edger. This was the Black and Decker price was $61.96. This was far most piece of crap I've ever owned. It ran out of battery power in 20 minutes. Yeah it did 'trim' weeds, but i had to keep going over and over them. I have a weed eater brand that is gas power and about the same size as the B&D.; That by far blew this one out of the water. It demolished weeds to the ground. I'm talkin to the dirt and beyond. This B&D; one barely cut the leaves off the main stem. Product sucks. Don't waste your money.

Tue Feb 14 2006My husband purchased a Black & Decker Spacemaker Digital Thermal Coffeemaker, (sounds fancy huh), for me for Christmas 2005. I installed it and made (1) pot of coffee and the carafe leaked from every direction. So we took the whole thing back and exchanged it. Guess what that one leaked to just not as bad, so we took it back. So now we are on the third coffeemaker and you guessed it, it leaks too. And not only that but the coffee is supposed to stay hot for up to 4 hours, if it makes it an hour I am lucky. So if the new carafe from the Black and Decker factory doesn't solve the problem, and I am skeptical, I am going to toss the thing out the door and to the curb and buy a coffee maker from another manufacturer. So you do the math, is it worth the aggravation, I think not.

Mon Nov 21 2005I bought a Black and Decker Gizmo can opener and I went to their website to look for help with my product. I wanted to find out if they sold replacement parts as my can opener no longer opens cans. I am a very dissatified customer as I paid top dollar for this product and would like to get it to work. I had it a very short time before it stopped working.I would be happy to rate-it anytime, but I am disabled and cannot rate products for money. Winifred Scheffel
