Anything on a black backgound looks good. Black absorbs all light, so whatever you place on it, will show its brilliance.

black is the main color that i wear but I do like to add just A LITTLE bit of other colors to my outfits. ROKCHIK05 is right about black not being a Depressing color and i would know because i am the queen of depression. wearing black makes me feel a whole heck of alot happier.

Every woman needs at least one perfect little black dress, it is a basic! How would I shadow and add depth to my drawings if I did not have black.

My friend loves punk rock. Therefore, she loves black clothes with zippers. I don't mind it, but I'm not obsessed in this color like her. I like simple spring colors, or fancy in-style clothes. Most aren't black. Although I don't think much of this color, I have to agree it matches with almost everything, doesn't stain easily, and is a very popular color on clothes.

Black is THE colour. I am the proud owner of a shirt that reads I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker colour! My wardrobe is 75% black and nearly all my trousers are. Black is not in the slightest bit depressing it is mysterious and deep.

I'm not an African-American, but BLACK POWER RULES! Black is beautiful in many ways and black is also the force of darkness.

One quick mention: everyone take a good hard look at an idiot in motion. Be afraid of IGFOSSILWEAR, he ias armed and dangerous with rhymes!!!! As for black... well... it is an obscene, darkly color that quells the nerves, sucks the light of the righteous man, sends the unbelievers down to Hades, sinks the greatest manmade ships, wraps the world around its prickly finger, obliterates the essence of a simple harmonic philosopher, tightens the head of a rabbit til it passes out blood from its probed rectum, and suckerpunches the drunk old cootch-grabber til a football hits him in his crotch. One final word: moo

It's such a depressing colour really. I mean, you wear it at funerals, and it's associated with evil.

I know black is so 80s, but I still love black. You have to wear it right, though, or you just look like an undertaker. My wardrobe is probably at least 50 per cent black. I like to pair it with different colors and patterns so I won't look too grim. I love black because it is sexy, mysterious, and sophisticated.

Yes, black is the absence of color, but it can still be seen, so to me it is a color. Personally, it is a great color, it is my favorite of all of the colors. It gets a bad rep though, which I don't understand. I would think that red would get more criticism, but it doesn't. In all movies Satan is portrayed as a red creature, red is the sign of hate and anger, if Satan was red, then Satanist would like red...wouldn't they? Like I said, knowing this, I still do not get why black is a more hated color than red.

Black can be lovely or it can be revolting, depending on the situation. It's a very sophisticated color and I think every woman should -- and probably does -- own that "little black dress". I have very fair skin and very dark hair, so when I wear black I think the contrast startles some people, but black is slimming and makes some people feel very good about themselves.

the color of choice for brooding pessimistic folks. if you're depressed, black fosters all the negative feelings you're experiencing and pulls ya down lower. i gave it 2 stars because it does work well for complimenting other colors and supposedly makes ya look thinner.

  • by

Black is not a color. Black is the absence of all color. Calling Black people "people of color" is wrong, Aryans happen to be the most colorful people on Earth since they have the most number of different colors biologically. Red, Green, Blue, Gold, Brown, and Orange are just some of the colors that can be found on Aryans. Aryans are the real "people of color". As far as Black as a "color" goes, it does make me look good when I ware it. But, Black symbolizes the great void of emptiness that pervades all of creation where light doesn't penetrate and subdue. Black has no equal or boundaries, but black also has no meaning or substance. Black is the oldest "color" and will be around longer than any other color, but it inherently has nothing to offer, it will always rely on the other colors just to even be known.

black is the moodiest color it symbolises the night, a time where there is calm like no other, the calm silence of the night, the cold eerie feel that goes up your spine brings mystical images to your head as you think of the scene. It also symbolises calmness and neutralness. It brings stablity to your mind when you think of the night, resetting all the mistakes and calamity of the tiring day you had. and it leaves space for any dreams you can imagine. Black is a very important color for the mind and soul.

I love black. Black is beautiful. It goes with like every color and it kind of describes my mood most of the time. Most people think black is depressing and is a sign of evil, but what do they know. I think most people look better in black anyways.

I believe black is the most expressive of all the colours. People usually think of black as boring or lathargic, but I think of black as deep and interesting. Black can mean many things. To society in the Middle Ages it meant evil and depression, some people still think that. I think black is the best colour to wear because of its versatility in moods. If you are feeling annoyed, black. If you are feeling powerful, black. Professional, black. Black is also useful for any time of day... while most colours don't pack so much of a punch at different times. Overall, I recommend black to anyone, at any time. I love black, mmmm.

I think that black is a good color because it goes well together with practicaly anything. To me, black sort of represents love. I know that seems sort of weird, but it's true! Also, black isa symbol of the night, which is my favorite part of the day. Black is plain, but black is beautiful, and anyone who says otherwise is fooling themself. Take care, everyone!

My favorite color...it expresses me and my mood most of the time. It reminds me of black cats, the nighttime sky, and everything else I love. About 90% of my wardrobe is black...I only like to wear dark colors (bright colors like orange and yellow are just to "happy" for me). Anyways, it's my all-around favorite color, with red being my second favorite.

Black is associated with formality..understated. Black clothing is very slimming..I like black. I wouldn't paint my walls black, I wouldn't have black furniture, but it is an interesting color for accessories. You can always tell who the bad guy is in a movie (he is wearing black). Black cats are said to be unlucky..I am not sure where the negativity associated with black came from. Overall, I give black a 3..I like black clothing, and there are many black things in our everyday lives..TVs are black, stereos, radios, appliances, many black cars, tuxes, black clothing, black shoes. It is a staple.

I love black. I think black is the most beautiful of the colors. It has always gotten a bad rap and has always been a sign of evil and foreboding. It is one of the few colors that can be matched with any other color, in terms of clothing among other things. In truth it depends on the person, because some people feel black is bad, sad and unknown while others have feelings contrary to this.

I partly agree with Castlbee, but I believe black is the combination of all colors, while white is the absence of color. I agree that black does provide a sophisticated look as Castlebee said. Most formal wear is black and a black tie dinner is considered formal.
