Bill Parcells is how the Dallas franchise got turned around. He has brought along alot of talented players to the team.

I saw Parcell's entire Giants tenure as an Eagle fan and had to respect the old bastard- and his Cowboy stint had to earn a solid four for getting a bedrock NFL franchise back on its feet- and I find it interesting how all the boy-wonder sportswriters (and a few players) were talking about how things 'were better' with Parcells gone and Wade Phillips as the new head coach - considering the Cowboy's playoff collapse, I sure would rather have had Parcells roaming the sidelines than Phillips any day of the week. . .'player's coaches' tend to run ships with occassional mental lapses and maturity issues- that's exactly why the season is over in big D. . .

Coach Parcells has outlived his usefulness as an NFL coach. I think he needs to retire and stay retired.

The cowboys have every right to be a great football team right now but seems to me they can't get thier heads out of the sand

coach Parcells needs to open up the offense and let the receivers do their jobs....get open and SCORE !! also let Demarcus Ware run loose to get the Q.B.

I too believe that Parcells lost his mind by signing TO, but to say he's a bad coach? Eh. If I'm gonna be too critical of TO I might as well throw my man Shanahan to the wolves for drafting Maurice Clarette a year ago.

Any coach that would get rid of one good reciever to get someone that single handed took down a team like phili has got to be the worse coach ever.

Without Belicek on his staff, he has a losing record.

Bill Parcells has to be hands down the best coach to ever live. The man has single handedly turned around 3 franchises in 3 years or less. (Patriots, Jets and Cowboys) That is not counting what he did with the Giants.

Only an ignorant Philly homer would doubt the coach because they hate the team. The 1990 Giants were the greatest one-year coaching job in the history of the league. Think about it. He beat Joe Montana on the road in the playoffs, while the Niners were gunning for a three-peat. Then he beat the Bills when the K-gun offense led the league in yardage. And he did it with a backup quarterback. Amazing.

Great coach, back in the day, but he's not showing me much right now. C'mon Bill. Give me something to make me change my rating. I will!

Quite possibly the best football coach of all time. No coach gets more out of less. Makes average ballplayers play at all pro levels. Knows how to handle superstars egos. Manages them better than anyone. See: LT, Keyshawn...etc. Makes players, coaches and fans believe. Oh, and he wins where-ever he goes (3 superbowl trips, two victories). Teams almost never out-coached or out-prepared. Drawbacks include leaving franchises on a whim and gestapo like restrictions on coaches when it comes to the media, but there isn't one downtrodden franchise that wouldn't welcome him with open arms.

old school coach-what's not to love? very good motivator and wins no matter where he goes. Texas is lucky to have him in the state to show them what REAL COACHING is all about. Neptune214 i take it your a mets fan huh? I have lived in Oklahoma all my life and don't give a crap about the cowboys but they did hire a damn fine coach. Oklahoma jealous of Texans? puleeeeze keep your cowboys, astros, rangers, mavericks, insert losers name here next...see a patern forming here? Texans assume they can buy any championship as long as they have cash-btw....how 'bout those Astros...heard Clemens is still a great pitcher...HAHAHAHA, or was that Piazza getting payback?

Good coach, but has no personal credibility because of the way he left the Pats and the Jets. He need to fade off into the New Jersey sunset where he belongs.

He was a good coach andtook two of the worst teams and brought them to the superBowl and to the playoffs The Jets and the giants would never have gone anywhere without Bill Parcels.

Parcells is a good coach, but he's not as good as Belicheck. The superbowls Parcells won have come with the other Bill as his defensive coordinator. He's good, but not that good.

He has to be one of the best coaches out there. Aside from Fox (Panthers),I see a future ahead for the Cowboys aka Americas Team...even though they have the worst of fans, maybe cause Oklahoma has to borrow pro-teams (in Texas/Kansas) to be fans of.

To give credit where it's due, his ability to take down and out teams and return them to playoff form in a very short timeframe, truelly speaks volumes about his coaching ability. He is a stern disciplinarian in an era of flip phones and laxidazical attitudes. I didnt notice many silly end zone celebrations from the Boys this year.
