I found Better World Books by accident while surfing, looking for free e-book sites for a friend (Yes, I am co-dependent...). I don't know what made me visit the site, after all I'd been at it for hours looking at EVERYTHING and was getting pretty tired. What's not to like about free shipping? Add to that the frequent sales and the great selection, prices and website, and I don't look anywhere else. I have a five year old and we love reading together; I want her to be familiar with the feel of a hardcover book. If there is an author or illustrator we want more of, I'll go to Better World Books' website and do a search. Never been disapointed. It's a great way to go. Happy reading!

I like Better Wordl Books because you find also the used books and I prefer buying the used books because it is a real way to save the trees. It is ecological for our environment but also advantageous for our budget! The free shipping in the worldwide is a good policy for the international purchasers. Really is the best place ever to buy book... Books for school is when (2005) I first started using them. There prices are way cheaper than most book retailers, the books themselves are always in good condition, and the shipping has been faster than amazon everytime I've used it (and free!). Customer service is great- they are both helpful and kind and you can tell you are communicating with a person, not a robot. The e-mail you get when your books are shipped is also super cute. Basically, everything about Better World Books is great from a customer's perspective, but it's great on a huminatarian level as well. Buy from them and you won't regret it.

I've been buying books from Better World Books for two years. Books that I have purchased from their warehouse (they also partner with independent sellers) were usually under $4/book and NO SHIPPING charge and NO MINIMUM. Plus, I can add another nickle for carbon offsets. And it these are not enough good reasons, the money they make goes toward world literacy. Not only that, but since many of their books are used and might go into landfills (perish the thought) this is a win-win-win organization. Living in a large city there is one more major plus for me. With one click and my zip code, I can "Find it at Your Local Library". Sometimes I don't want to buy/own the book. This is really valuable information for me. Wish I could give Better World more stars. What a wonderful concept they have developed.
