bennigans in lanesboro, massachusetts i think this place is lacking staff. i've been there twice and each time the waiting between drinks, dinner, and the bill took forever...and the place was empty! no one even checked up on us throughout our meal. it took 15 minutes of my empty cup being on the edge of the table before i was asked if i needed a refill. mind you, other waitresses walked by me about 6 times throughout this and never mentioned it to our waitress. what great teamwork to satisfy customers! the food was mediocre. the cleaniness was pitiful. layers of dust covered the dining area. food stains on the glass windows. and to top it all off when i asked for a new drink it came back with used lemons (granted they were probably from my previous drink) but if i'm paying for a whole new drink that's what i should be getting, not dried up lemon skins on my cup!

The Bennigan's restaurants in metro Detroit have all gone out of business. The other mediocre sit-down dining chains were just too mediocre and Bennigan's couldn't keep up.

Slow, slow, slow!!! Slow for server to first to show up, (couple times went back to the hostess to see if we had a server)slow to get drinks, slow to come take order, slow to get food, slow to get check, and get payment back. Tonight there was only 10 cars in parking lot. Took us 2 hours for the whole ordeal, and on top of this the server was sick. Last time we was there, there was about 10 cars there and they made us wait 15 minutes for a table. It was dead in there, and had to wait. It's been like this for the last 4-5 times we came there. Why do we coming back, I do not know, except we have a history there, got our in engaged there for one, but that is back when there was good service. Round Rock, TX.

Bad service, when I worked at Fiesta Texas a while ago, the training managers used this as an example of very bad service, how not to treat guests, plus there was a news story about racial type slurs? given by a server to one of their guest, but all this occured at one particular unit and may not be a problem at them all. I never really had much problems with this chain.

Bennigan's potato skins are the best in the business. I also like the admittedly canned atmosphere. It's comfortable.

This place ranks #1 !!!! For Worst service. Food very inconsistent but passable when it's good, although you'll leave spending a bundle and still be hungry. With a Chili's nearby, who needs this place??

I love it but it can get a bit loud especially at night. I like their new flat bread pizza (great vegetarian option) but it can be a little greasy and dry but it's not too bad. The one closest to my house has $2 drafts every night, the bar is 21+ after 10pm, and it's a great place to take my family or meet up with friends any day or night of the week!

been here two times. The second trip yesterday had good food but bland service. the waiter took a little while to give us our drinks. And i saw that people that came after us get their food before us. I should've gone to the restaraunt nearby.

Another restaurant with decent food but gives bad vibes with its hiring. Usually, only clean-cut, preppy white kids with a bad attitude work at these places. Can't they hire decent, normal people? Anyway, as these places all have the same food, so I'll just say it's decent. Clean up the hiring practices or I'll just eat at Famous Dave's, Denny's, the Texan or Chinese, or at one of many places that don't hire people like it's a club.

Walked in and was greeted cheerfully by the hostess. Was shown to my table and was ignored for over 15 minutes. Not even a glass of water. The place wasn't busy, either. Eventually got up and left. (Chicago, Adams and Michigan).

When I was in high school ( and even into college), this was the place to be on Friday & Saturday nights. The eclectic decorations and cozy atmosphere made it a great place to hang out. The problem with Bennigan's is that it still is a great place fro high schoolers. I went the other night, and it was full of teenagers. There might have been one other table with anyone over 21!

The one near my house here just closed. I never cared for the overpriced drinks. They supposedly had a two-for-one happy hour everyday but I never figured out how to do it. They always charged me full fare. Gone and easily forgotten. I think they have an inadequate vision of their clientele: they dont know who we are, where we are or what we want from a bar.

The chicken fingers are a little low on the flavor side but the loaded baked potato soup is like heaven in your mouth!!! I could eat the whole pot of that soup!!!

The burgers are SO dry at this place! I haven't really found anything on the menu that has captured my interests. A friend of mine likes their potato soup, which is the only reason I am forced to go there every now and again.

I'm very disappointed that they got rid of the Heapin' Ham and Cheese sandwich. It was very good.

Great steaks, cheese sticks, fries, shrimp, and desserts, especially the Death by Chocolate. Also pretty waitresses. It's a bummer all the Bennigans in my area closed recently.

The service was awful and the food wasn't all that great. I ate ate the one inside Harrahs (I think it was Harrahs, or it could've been Ceasars too)at Lake Tahoe.

By default, I ended up at Bennigan's for lunch today, and it was OK. The service was outstanding (which surprised me), and the food was pretty tasty. There is one menu for both lunch and dinner, which I didn't like because most of the items I was interested in sounded like too much food for lunch. Portion size is huge (no real surprise there), but the prices are relatively reasonable. (I got a big turkey sandwich and fries for $5.99.) My big gripe is that the iced tea was mediocre, at best. All in all, my experience was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at Bennigan's, but it's OK when there aren't any other options.

Bennigan's is one restaurant that you may want to have at the bottom of your list. The service is terrible, you have to wait forever to get a table, and then even longer to get food and drinks. Bennigan's is a tiny little irish based restaurant that serves their food at very high prices, and it isn't as fresh as you'd want it to be.
