Fri Jun 10 2011For the money, this is as good as it gets. If it is served in a mixed drink, you can't tell it from JD, Maker's Mark or any other premium wiskey.

Wed Feb 17 2010my rating is obviously based on price to quality. Benchmark is the king of the cheapest! $12.99 for a handle where I shop makes it the a tie for the cheapest, tied with Kentucky Tavern. But the flavor is obviously far better than that of the KT. It tastes almost as good a a premium bourbon! And doesn't give the horrible hangover that KT does.

Thu Jan 17 2008Hello all I am currently on a Well Bourban Whisey drinking trial. Well lst let me start off saying that I make my drinks with crushed ice, bourbon whiskey and coke. The 1st I tried was Ezra Brooks and I would give it a 3 out of 5. It had a bit of after taste that I wasn't to keen on. 2nd was Benchmark and for $10.00 a 1/5 I would give it a 5/5. It almost made me think I was drinking Jack Daniels. No after taste and smooooth. For the price difference it is a no-brainer. Next on lost will be Old Gran-dad 100 proof, Old Crow, Evan Williams, Old Forester & Old Fitzgerald.

Sun Apr 01 2007Okay, Benchmark doesn't taste all that great. But for less than $20 a HANDLE, it's hard to go wrong. The first time I threw up it was because of Benchmark. I had no problem drinking it straight.... ended up being a problem.
