Sat Nov 08 2008Everybody is right on top of the field. It is loud and crazy. And the grass is always in perfect condition.

Sun Oct 26 2008Lame on the outside. Lound on the inside. But filled with seemingly miserable, overweight fans. The location is convenient..but not exactly attractive...as it's stuck on a crowded corner...with no cool view as you approach it. The place is basically loud, orange & obese.

Tue Dec 04 2007Horrible place to visit...It is truly a Swamp that is inhabited by jort wearing, mullet having, white trash imbeciles. Did I mention the smell in Gainesville burn your nose hair?

Sat Oct 14 2006Nothing in College Football compares to being in the Swamp...with the many amazing cheers and chants, and the bright Orange and Blue paint, this truely is an experience... I LOVE the Gators!

Sun Jan 08 2006I have been to the swamp. Loud and fun. Fans were great. Bars across the street. Love the song they do in the 4th quarter (if I remember correctly). Great traditions with the "gator chomp" clap, the "gator bait" chant, et al. I am a Clemson fan and love the Valley and this place ranks right there. I would go back anytime.

Thu Oct 27 2005I haven't been to many stadiums in my day but what I know is that there is no louder place in all of the United states then when the gator nation packs the swamp with 91 thousand plus fans. The only thing i hate is dumb people chanting when the offense has the ball. Crazy fans but some fans have no idea about football. Also the wave still exists here and should be abolished. the tickets are done through a lottery for students which by what I know is not common for schools so it makes getting tickets that much more great. People will come here from other schools and feel safe knowing the only but whoopin theyll get is on the field

Wed Oct 19 2005The loudest, hottest, gnarliest stadium in the nation (professional included).

Thu Sep 08 2005Rather dull looking stadium on the outside; much more impressive inside. Colorful, uniquely built (each side of the interior looks different) hot and generally quite loud. Regarding the noise, similar to places like Neyland, Death Valley in Baton Rouge and Husky Stadium in Seattle, the noise runs parallel to the quality of the opponent. However, the Swamp's fans tend to make more noise on a consistent basis than the other loud houses in college football. Inside on the concourses, it struck me as a little dark, dank and dumpy. The seating area is a bit cramped, but that seems to be a problem that plagues all the stadiums that have upwards of 90,000 capacities. Unlike a place like Michigan Stadium, however, there are a lot more exits that allow a bit easier access to and from your seat. Overally, a fun environment to watch a game............BUT.............. ***..........Hopefully you'll be fortunate enough to be near fans that haven't been drinking since the Wednesday before t... Thu Sep 01 2005I have been to see touchdown Jesus, Camp Randall, Doak Cambell, and the big house as an avid college football fan and they pail in comparison to the excitement I saw and the noise level at THE SWAMP. Bathroom situation sucks a little but great overall.

Mon Aug 22 2005Way overated. Was there for the Kentucky game last year. Only about 60% of the stadium was full. Some fans choose to get right in your face and give you the gator chomp. Too much drinking by some people who just can't handle it well.

Mon May 02 2005Great sightlines, not a bad seat in the house. The field is underground, so the stands tower sharply and straight up over it. This makes the Swamp look not that tall from the oustide, but amazingly tall inside. The new pressboxes are great. The fans are wild. Student section is overbearing for opposing teams throughout the whole game. The north endzone is deafening with the enclosed three tier seating, the band, and the heart of the student section all along the East side. The orange brings out the character of the stadium and gives it something most stadiums don't have.

Sat Mar 05 2005The best stadium in college football. I have been to many stadiums in the SEC, while some of them are great (Auburn, Tennessee). There is nothing like the swamp. The gaudy orange, crazy student section, and raucous student section all make this stadium a must see (especially if they are playing FSU).

Sun Dec 26 2004Definately the greatest place in college football

Sun Oct 03 2004Even though my team got stomped in the ground (FSU). The Swamp is the scariest and yet most amazing stadium in the world. It's a thousand times better than Doak Campbell.

Thu Sep 02 2004The greatest place I have ever seen a football game period. The personality of the stadium and enthusiasm of the fans is amazing. With the fans less than 15 feet from the field at any point you cant get even nearly as close anywhere else. There is a reason that NCAA football 2005 rated it the toughest stadium to visit in the country. A truly great place to see a game.

Sat Jul 24 2004Loudest place I've ever been and I've been to a bunch. Great game day atmosphere even though my team got waxed.
