April 7, 2009 / Bellagio Dinner Buffet We have been fans of the Bellagio Buffet since Steve Wynn's day. Unfortunately, since the property was sold off the buffet has been in steady decline. Well, now it has been driven over the cliff. Food Quality: The pizza, which was originally developed by the California Pizza Kitchen, used to be excellent, high quality exotic ingredients and meticulous prep. Now, not only is the pizza stale and the fillings pedestrian, but the cold left overs are tossed on to the occasional fresh pizza. The teriyaki flank steak is now overdone, tough, flavorless and stacked like cord wood at the station. The entrees are not replaced on the steam tables but are replenished like the pizza. Many old favorites like the creamed spinach have disappeared. And, like typical cafeteria fare, there was left over bacon, hash-browns and scrambled eggs from the breakfast buffet. The Alaskan King Crab legs, the only reason to prefer the dinner to the lunch buffet,... Read more

Decided to try this buffet because it was highly recommended by many. The line was extremely and took forever to get through. Definitely one of the pricey buffets, but with the reputation it had I could have cared less about how much it cost. Unfortunately, the buffet couldn't live up to my expectations. The cold seafood bar was horrible. Nothing seemed fresh. My boyfriend, who has a big appetite, wouldn't go back for seconds. Not worth the price. Never going back again. At least the service was good.

Yuck, yuck. This used to be the very best buffet in Vegas, well not anymore! The fish are all flash frozen -- yuck! No taste! The deserts taste as if it's made of Crisco. Another yuck! What a complete disappointment. Don't bother going here!

I can't imagine it getting much better than this. $27 seems high for a buffet, but considering you couldn't go to most of the sit down restaurants in these casinos for that much a meal, and with the high quality of the Bellagio Buffet, it's a no brainer to try this out! King AND Snow crab legs already split open for you! Bison sirloin, prime rib, and lobster ravioli. A dedicated station to freshly made sushi! A dedicated station for all kinds of salads! Wood fired pizzas! You name it, this place has it covered. This place is especially great if you're a "foodie" and love to try exotic things that you would normally be afraid to pay for to try. Wow....just wow.

First time at the buffet in Ballagio. It looked good on the Food Channel so we decided to try it. In reality it was overpriced and not very good and the wait staff were surly and unattending, not one wait staff at either the carvery table or the sushi bar smile or offer any helpful hint with the sauces for various dishes, most of the food were luke warm or dried up. Our waiter never brought us empty place for our shells. We ended up piling it on the table just to get it out of our dinner plate. The King crab was easy to eat but it was overly salty, the Beef Wellington was dry and a lot of food trays were empty or not being replenished for a long period of time. We were there at 5:30pm, the height of the dinner hour. We'd expected the food trays to be more plentiful and fresh. There were 2 things that were done well...rack of lamb and creme brulee. For over $70 for 2 people not including tips with only 2 items that wre any good, I think it's a bit overpriced. We will not g... Read more

First 3 times I went, it was great... Then the 4th time, they served me a piece of rotted meat, chicken. It had a weird smell to it. I thought it came that way, I ate it, and unfortunately, about 2 minutes later, it came up. Several people got sick from it. They refunded my money for 2, and put my husband and I up for an additional night for free. Sadly they have taken away the greater dishes and meats, and raised thier prices, 5 years ago, the buffet was wonderful, but my impressiona has been tainted. Better off at the Green Valley Ranch buffet, its terrific!

I thought the price per person here at the Bellagio Buffet is totally overpriced. I really don't think this buffet had a lot of food to choose from. The only food I went back for seconds were mashed potatoes w/ gravy and salad. One would think this buffet was going to be the bomb or something since the line was so long, but I was totally disappointed. Our server was nice even though all he did was bring us our drinks. But please believe me that there really was no food to be all ecstatic about. I would not come back here. It's not worth the price.

I am not big on buffets - everyone touching the same utensils and breathing on 'my food', but I had heard sooooo much about the Buffet at the Bellagio that I just had to try it. My mother and 2 aunts were visiting from New Jersey and the big thing there is Atlantic City (enough said). They're all carnivores and I'm pescetarian and we all love desserts, so we had all the food choices covered. I don't know what they had exactly - plates piled high with a sampling of everything in sight and they deemed the food - okay. They thought it was comparable to other $9.99 (!!!) buffets they have 'enjoyed' (just passing along what they said). I piled my plate with salmon (give it a 'B') and tons of crab legs (not king) they get a 'C' - way too salty. Don't know how I missed the sushi bar - oh, well. Thumbs up on the caesar dressing and two thumbs up on the desserts - cheesecake puffs and chocolate cake - yummy. I was expecting so much more. So, been there, done that. My only experie... do not eat here. everything was completely inedible. i developed a stomach ache about 20 minutes after eating some of the seafood there. Nothing was fresh. some of the meat served, such as the lamb chops, was still raw. if a place can screw up on potatoes, what else is there left to say? completely over priced for the quality of food. yes, there was a big selection, but i would rather eat 1 good thing than 25 nauseating things.

If you're visiting Vegas eating at a buffet is a must, esp. this place! yes the line is long, but so is everywhere else, the food is totally worth it tho. Instead of their steak, I always go for their beef cubes, it melts in your mouth! the shrimp is really plump and fresh, I love their polenta so much that I tried making it at home... bad outcome. Their sushi bar is pretty simple, but you can ask them to make you something special . They have a very delish salad station, one side you have the typical salad bar and next to it a station of variety of selection which is served pre-mixed. Their deserts speaks for themselves and getting a cup of coffee is a must! Sometimes service is slow if you are seated in the back or side corners, it depends where you are seated so if you dont like it, ask them to move you center front.

We went for lunch and the waitress was good, but that was all. The food was les than mediocre. It is the worst arranged buffet I have ever eaten at! Period! I use a cane, but can't when getting my food. I had to wait 15 minutes in the salad line to get to the carving tables. What a waste of time for what I got. The only beef was flank steak like and was so tough it was like eating a car tire and I could not eat it. The turkey was tasteless. I went back for some ribs and salmon, this time cutting in line, and the carver was obnoxious. He told a Vietnamese gentleman, that also cut in next to me, to go the front of the line, and when he did not, the server walked away. We waited and waited for another carver to come back, and several minutes later he did, but making rude remarks. The ribs were not even OK and the smoked salmon was like shoe leather. Again a waste of time for the pain, but no gain! I was expecting wonders when we went to the Bellagio Buffet from all of the hoop-la, but l... Read more

For $39. go have a nice meal or goo to the buffet at Rio, T.I., Wynn or even Circus Circus. Save your money and your stomach, skip the this buffet line

I have been waiting several years to try the Bellagio?s buffet brunch and was excited to during this trip. I was in Las Vegas with 4 other friends and we had a wonderful time and great meals. The food at the Bellagio was great, but I believe it made us very, very ill. Within hours of eating there (and we had eaten nowhere else that day) three of us had severe symptoms of bad food. We could not even keep water down for over 24 hours. The three of us had shared a desert, the bread pudding, that the other two had not tried. We were so sick that I am quite worried for anyone who might have been elderly and who ate at the Bellagio on that day.

We went there yesterday for lunch. What struck me was the non-buffet feel to the rooms once you were seated. It felt like a restaurant. They even have a bar where you can sit and have your meal if you wish. Like everything in the Bellagio, there is great attention to detail and an overall feeling of luxury. The food was remarkably fresh. There was an excellent selection. I did think the service was a little on the slow side, but very helpful and friendly once it arrived. They had a good international variety of selections but also all of the American favorites and some entrees that were quite unusual (venison, giant artichoke hearts, two kinds of duck, pesto mashed potatoes) and the wonderful desserts that we always look forward to at the Las Vegas buffets (three varieties of mousse, all sorts of cakes, delicious chocolate brownies and cookies). Frankly, all of the buffets are about equally priced, so I think it makes sense to go to the better ones.

On a recent visit with my boyfriend and another couple to Vegas we thought we'd try the buffet here. It was slightly more money than the regular dinner buffet because it was the Holiday season. However, I think it was around forty per person. We had to wait in line for about 20 minute, which we were told would be an hour wait. This was at about 9:30 on the Friday night btw. Christmas and New Years, 2007. I had never been to a buffet before and some of the others in our group had been to several including the buffet at the Bellagio. We all thought it was delicious! The assortment of different foods and cuisines was really outstanding. We had a picky eater with us and she was able to find plenty of good stuff to eat. For the person commenting that it caters to Asians with all the Asian food, you must be joking! It was one of the smallest cuisines. I guarantee there was as much Italian cuisine choices as Asian. So "whatever" to that guy. Desserts were good as well. The best was th... Read more

There is a big difference on what they describe as gourmet on the east coast and in the desert. If you are coming from the east coast and have had the buffet at Harrah's in Atlantic City, DO NOT EXPECT the same thing. First of all I dont consider crab legs and quail as gourmet. And serving 4-6 different types of pizza doesnt really cut it either. They obvious cater to asian clients with a large sushi section. The decor was like I was dining in Circus Circus and not a upscale hotel. For $36 I expected alot more than what I got. The only bright spot was the BBQ Brisket and Prime rib. I have to agree with others when they say that the service was a bit slow. So my advice to others is if you have other options, take them first. If you feel like steak, try Alan Alberts on the strip, its located off the road a little right before MGM Grand.

It has everything you want, from seafood to burgers to sushi to pizza. It has it ALL. And its fresh not like other buffet lines where the food has been sitting there for awhile. I saw the servers changing the food constantly. They even had crab legs and shrimp during BRUNCH!!! I cant wait to go back.

The Bellagio Buffet is by far one of the best I have been to! The food is always high quality and freshly prepared. There is a wide variety to choose from which includes sushi, pastas, seafood, various meats, plenty of desserts and much more. This buffet is a little higher priced at around$27.99 on week nights but it is definately worth the money. Also it can get busy very fast so I suggest going to an early diner. My family and I went around 5:30 and we walked right in but once we left about an hour later there was a line up. Come very hungry and be prepared to taste new things!

They have the top food quality of any buffet I have been to. The fish is always fresh and the food different and tasting great every time I visit. Its worth the little extra you pay over the other buffet options in Vegas. There is a large assortment of foods that would allow any choosey food eater to be happy. I would recommend going a bit early for dinner or a little later for lunch, as the line could be long. I usually go for the lunch around 1.30/2pm.

The crab alone is worth the price tag(about $37). I see all these reviews about prices going up in "recent years". I've been coming to Vegas since 1996 and do remember the 99cent shrimp cocktails, 2 for $1 burgers, and other cheap eats. That was over 10 yrs ago! Since 2001 I haven't seen a single 99 cent shrimp cocktail anywhere! The cheap deals are definitely gone from the strip..they've BEEN gone for years now. Now.. you get what you pay for. You can pay $8 for a buffet at the Orleans that will send you racing for the john...or you can pay a little more to eat here or the Wynn.

Being from the west coast ,I am used to fresh sushi, this was not that animal! At $20 it would be a good deal,as other items were decent,But @ $35.00 it is not!!. Vegas buffet prices have skyrocketed in recent years and the attraction of a great tasting, good quality buffet at a reasonable price no longer exists on the Strip. Very sad.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Bellagio and ate at the buffet. The service was extremely slow for the paying patrons, but service seemed quite good for the patrons who were invited by the hotel, probably because they spent a lot of money in their casino. The food was bland and plain, compared to Wynn Buffet (highly recommended). The food wasn't very fresh and seemed quite poor for the $30 per person charge. Wynn was the best buffet we have ever had and the price was only $7 higher ($37 per person). Service at Wynn was superior because they treated everybody equally, whereas Bellagio only treats you well if you are rich.

I went to the bellagio buffet for dinner on 11/29/06 and i was disappointed with their selection and freshness on their sushi buffet...just california roll and tuna sashimi. I was expecting high quality from bellagio and more selections. Their other entrees were typical of any buffet. Their desserts were pretty good though. I recommend it...the food is good but bellagio buffet doesnt live up to its hype nor the price.

This is one of our must dos for each and every trip to Las Vegas. The garden displays change with the season so, in spite of visiting 2-3 times a year, we are assured of seeing something new and exciting. Our last visit coincided with the fall display. The display included a 200 year old banyan tree, topiary (living plants) sculpture of mallard ducks, gigantic pumpkins, fall flowers and a cider mill.

If you don't usually like buffets, you might like this one. It's not the cheapest, but it's the best. The food quality is superb. It tastes more like cooked-to-order restaurant food than a buffet. Everything is fresh, and the ingredients are top-notch and well-prepared. There are multiple cuisines on display, including American, Italian, French, and Chinese. Seafood and meat are plentiful. The dessert selection is also top-notch.

The buffet at Bellagio consistently gets high marks if you're a buffet type, and for good reason. Although it's not one of the cheapie buffets in town, the quality, variety and imaginative dishes more than justify the cost. If you want to check it out at without breaking the bank, try going for lunch. One of the little things that make you know this is a quality place is that the shrimp aren't little peel-and-eat Sizzler types. They're large and already peeled and cleaned. Numerous choices for salads, entrees, and desserts. You'll have a hard time deciding what you want to try, but there will be many more than you can possibly even sample. Without exception, everything was very, very good. Well-prepared, attractively presented, and continuously refreshed. Like lots of casino restaurants, you do have to trek through the casino to get to it, but it's worth the trip.

My friend and I had heard that this was the best buffet in town, so we decided to go. Line was ridicuously long and we probably waited for about 45 minutes total. Went on a Monday a little bit after 12 pm. Price was pretty extravagent, as well. They had a sushi bar that was fully stocked with some great choices, but everything else was pretty basic, regular stuff that you'd find at any buffet. Wasn't overly impressed considering the cost and wait, but the food was good. I guess it's just average with a side of marketing hype.

The Conservatory at Bellagio is incredible. It isn't even so much the variety of beautiful plants that does it, it is the incredible care and attention to detail put into it. The water fountains that dance across the air mesmerize you, and you can find yourself easily wasting 10 minutes just staring at awe. If you have the means, do yourself a favor and take in this stunning visual treat.

If you are awake for breakfast in Veags, the bellagio has a good buffet. There are a lot of choices, so you won't run out of things to try. Some of the hot dishes didn't have great flavor. The muffin and pastry selection is great. Overall, there is so much to try and the price is reasonable. We had a bloody mary which was ok, I'd probably go with champagne or juice next time.

I'm not a big fan of buffets; I feel that you usually trade quality for quantity, but this buffet was the exception. We had the pleasure of going for brunch & were pleasantly surprised when they switched to a lunch menu w/ the longest crab legs you've ever seen & champagne. The made to order omelettes were top notch w/ first rate ingredients. It was great food in an elegant setting and a wonderful experience for my friend and I. Excellent variety of dishes.

The Bellagio Buffet, while not the city's cheapest, proves time and again to be a great deal for the quality, taste and variety of food that they offer. No gummy seafood newburg or ham that's been sitting under a heatlamp for days -- everything is tastefully prepared, beautifully presented and just so darn good, you wish you didn't have to stop eating. Great for groups, the family or visiting friends.

The Belagio has a great buffet. I enjoyed the prime rib the most. Usually the crab legs and shimp are one of the best in town, but this time the crab legs were a little dry. I enjoyed their desserts, but the chocolate dipped strawberries were a big sour this time. I had the tossed spinich salad and that was excellent. I found the Wynn buffet to be better on this trip to Vegas.

In Short Arched glass ceilings tower 50 feet over mosaic tile paths that lead through the gardens and branch into the Gallery of Fine Art and the hotel spa. Four distinct planting areas are highlighted, punctuated by seasonal trees (plantings are changed four times per year to coincide with the seasons). The best natural viewing is had when the sun is overhead, but the careful night lighting may be good enough if crowds are not your thing.

This is hands-down the best buffet in Vegas. A little expensive, but well worth it. Really good selection of food - seafood (crab legs!), pizza, lamb, fish - and the desserts - definitely save room for it. Gets pretty busy during peak hours - the wait can up long. But plan ahead and come here.

This has got to be one of the best buffets in Vegas. There are so many choices - sushi, Alaskan king crab, kobe beef, lamb, veal, asian, pizza, etc. Save room for dessert and make sure you grab the dessert when you see it - sometimes, they rotate and what you see at the beginning of dinner is not what you see at the end.

I loved, loved, LOVED this buffet and I do not use such words lightly. Having sampled food at countless restaurants on 3 continents, trust me when I say that this buffet is great! I went there on a weekday just as they were switching from breakfast items to lunch items- going there on a weekday saves you money, as does going early to the buffet. The price includes all the non-alcoholic drinks you can drink (coffee, juice, etc) and, yes, let us not forget the food! I loved the fresh mozzarella appetizers, the sun dried tomatoes, the five types of pizza, the sandwitches, the cart-sized tabled filled with different kinds of breads, the pesto mashed potates, the countless types of sushi, the Italian foods, the Asian dishes, what more can I say? Maybe add the desert buffet to this ecuation- one of the biggest desert stands I have seen!

The buffet offers great food, excellent service and an extensive selection. The only negative comment I have is the price: $60 for a champagne brunch for two people $40ish w/o the bubbly. I feel the benefits outweigh the cost, besides you're in VEGAS BABY, LIVE IT UP!
