best city in the region for a nigth out.

Beirut, SYRIA sucks, but when it is all really Lebanon again, then we will see..

Improving with time will get better as their is less involvement by others, syria get out.

I went with my dad, who hasnt been here since he left 33years ago. It was the most beautiful land I have ever seen. I did notice alot of the people speaking french, but I grew up fluent in english, french, spanish, and arabic so I had no problems with communication. The night life like redleb86 said is so much better than the states. Can't wait to go back.

I'm lebanese and if u've been there recently(past 3 years) it rocks! Downtown Beirut looks like Paris now, and it sure beats the states for Night life. 18 for drinking age, beat that. Moved to Jersey, and I miss my country alot. can't wait till summer...

Terrorists live here don't they?

This was once one of the most important cities in the world (shipping, trade, religion, culture, etc.). I have seen the plans to rebuild Lebanon and barring another regional war, it will once again be a wonderful place for work, travel, and commerce.

i last saw it in 94 did not like it at all, it was a mess they are rebuilding but still i didnt like it they(people) are trying to be western and hardly speak their own language they are using alot of french,why!they think they're cool or something..
