I beat this one. I can control my dreams so I planted a gun and shot him. When I pulled back his hood he had no face! UPDATE: New chaser, new solution. I started walking through walls...

The dream is black and white. I'm running for my life in herky-jerky motion. I'm being chased by a dozen or so policemen. They all have tall bobby-style helmets, long coats and have handle bar moustahces. They are riding on the running boards of a Ford Model-T paddy wagon and they keep falling off and stumbling over one another. There's fast rag-time piano music in the background. I'm wearing a staw boater-style hat and carrying a duck.

This a common dream for me! It feels like I am in a movie, weaving dodging or skulking about trying to evade my pursuers! In the morning, I am really quite tired and worn out--lol. Is there a list of reasons we have these types of dreams, somewhere on RIA???

I used to have the same dream for about 5 years about being chased by this creepy dude that looked like Dracula or something. I could run anywhere and turn around and he would be laughing in my face. It was so disturbing to my sleep but I knew that I was the one who had to change the dream cause I went to dream sites and read about reasons why we dream certain things~besides the food we ate the night before. :P I decided in my mind that I would stand up to this Darth Vader character and guess what? Light won over darkness!! YaY, he didn't like my prayer spoken loudly in the last dream I had, and ran away. It worked for me. Now I dream about being Zena and kicking bad guys arses! (Zena scream)

A very common recurring dream during my childhood was a dream of me being chased by cats after I got off of the school bus. The weird part was that the cats had bat wings, and for some reason an old shed that had been torn down was always still standing. Sometimes it was light outside, sometimes it was dark, but that was the only variation that ever occurred in this dream. They never caught me, but I never made it to the house before the dream ended either.

I dream I’m being chased all the time. Only I’m rarely myself in these dreams. I can be either male or female but I’m always younger than I actually am, usually early twenties. In these dreams I am usually persued by a group of men with guns or sometimes a serial killer but although I’m always running or hiding, there’s never a sense of panic. Sometimes I’m running through a city, running over and through buildings and houses, hiding on a roof, or in a pipe, or underneath a random structure. Other times I’m running through open areas where there’s nowhere to hide like a field or through a lake or swamp. And sometimes I’m in a house, running and hiding in different rooms. I’m never aware of why I’m being chased and like I said, no panic, just a feeling of having to escape. These dreams have no main event or conclusion, I just eventually wake up.

I've had this one a few times. It's never been anybody specific, just generic dream people who want to do me harm. It usually comes with the feeling that I am trying to run with a refridgerator tied to my back or like I'm running in quick sand.

There was always this old lady who would chase me through the forest full of cages and it would never end, sometimes I came to an old beaten down house, but it was HER house, and little children's bones and pieces of their bodies were scattered all over the place, as I would run, sometimes she met up with me but when she caught me, I would always wake up, after awhile it just turned into running away from her where there was nothing around, just the screams that I could hear everywheres, and her laughter and taunts...

It depends, I guess? If I'm being chase by a stranger brandishing a gun or a bloody machete, or a wild animal foaming at the mouth, I would probably run like hell in my dreams. But being chased by a hot-looking woman? I'd probably intentionally slow down to a trot.

I had a spectacular dream the other night that a tiger broke loose from somewhere and was chasing me all over the city. I was jumping off buildings and busting through windows to try and escape it, but I just couldn't shake it. it ended when I dove off a dam head first into a deep lake with the thing flailing after me. I woke up as I was swimming as hard as I could straight down into the water. It was intense.

I don't usually  fare well in these dreams, but in a recent one, I remember getting caught,  but I won the confrontation. I felt pretty good about that.

I always wanted to be chased by my boo Beyonce or J-Lo mayne...Id end up lettin' them catch me though. Other dreams was when I was a lil' pup. I imagined I can turn invisible and take food from Mcdonalds but my power fades...so Im chased by the workers but I always escape.

I had this one a lot when I was younger too. Something that I did not want to get caugth by would be, let's say 100 yards away and moving very quickly towards me. I only needed to go about 10 ft. to get to safety and my feet moved at an almost glacial pace. Very frustrating, but also a rush at times.

Only when I was young. After looking at all the other sublists here I can say that while it takes me a while to fall asleep (typically at least an hour and sometimes more) I do sleep well and dont often dream but when cxoming out of a sleep. When I do dream it is rarely a positive or pleasing dream> I dream of things that are weighing heavy on my mind or worse. I dont find myself ever dreaming about things that Im satisfied with. They really do fall into a few catagories, breaking free of a struggle, saving others/myself free from disaster, sexual encounters based my most common fantasies (rarely with any women that I know in the real world), or my wife mistreating, being unfaithful or leaving me, usually during times when our money problems arise. I dont dream about work, my band, or anything that I really have more control of.

I had a dream where I was being chased by wild bears in the desert. I was riding a snowmobile...of all things, and I looked like Harry Potter from the book/movie series. That was creepy.

It's a clear, bright day, dappled with sunshine and not a cloud in the sky; I'm piloting one of those good-sized garden tractors (with the cleated, oversized back tires) through a golf course, with a yappy little kid sitting behind me, barking out admonishments as I tear a swath of shaven destruction behind me. The further along I get through the grounds, the more irate golfers I have chasing after me (on foot, and in those li'l electric carts); they're getting closer, and I turn my head back to see just HOW close, and I fail to steer clear of one of the water hazards (here's where it gets.....strange); instead of burying the tractor in a jolting *splash*, we all go riding out on top of the water for about 70 feet, doing 40 MPH; the kid behind me says this is impossible, I realize he's right, and the tractor just drops straight down into the drink like a boulder (and we're still sitting on the tractor); the speed of the dropping motion manifests in the LITERAL, physical arching of my b... I get these more often than I'd like. I don't often get caught, but they don't often stop chasing, either. It's always one person, always male, never could make out a face, but hell if I'm going to stop and find out.

I've had this dream on and off over the years. I can't quite make out who is chasing me but it is usually a large group of people. The disturbing part of the dream is that I can barely run, my legs seem to be so heavy that I have to crawl. Somehow I never get caught. Most dreams are symbolic of something else going on in your life. Maybe the chaser's were bill collectors!

As a kid, I had a dream where several nefarious criminal types were chasing me around a park not far from where I grew up with the intention of injecting me with heroin. Not sure what Freud would say about that (probably better if I don't know) but later in life, when I suffered through some addiction problems that I've thankfully pretty much overcome, I probably would have let them catch me if the dream had reoccurred. It didn't.
