The huge capacity gives it an extra star but i hate the renovated feel of it. Just looks like a mess.

Never been to LSU or A&M; but of the many stadiums I've been to, it's hard to beat Beaver or Neyland and I love going to Notre Dame.

This place is HORRIBLE !! I went to the Ohio State game Saturday night 10/27/2007 for my first visit to Beaver Stadium. I am 6' 2" tall and couldn't even fit my legs in front of me. WHOEVER DESIGNED THE ALUMINUM BLEACHERS SHOULD HAVE THEIR HEAD EXAMINED. REMOVE THE SEAT BACKS, THEY ARE A WASTE. THEY FIT 110,134 because they leave 9" per person. That is a crime and a sin !!!  I will NEVER go back !! Aluminum bleachers that appear to have been designed for midgets with no legs !!!

largest and loudest student section in the country. Whole stadium just rocks when 110,000 thousand people start chanting "We Are, Penn State". Amazing views and amazing tailgaiting.

The best stadium in college football. The atmosphere is amazing and now that Penn State is back it's even better.

The ultimate college atmosphere...To quote an ESPN analyst during the OSU game this past season: "They call this place Happy Valley. That is an understatement. Tonight, it's the greatest place on Earth." Also, in it's issue "101 things every college student should do before graduating," SI named going to a PSU game in Beaver Stadium number one. I know the SEC likes to think it has the best fans, but that just isn't true. When 25,000 students pack the stands two hours before kickoff, there is no mistaking that Happy Valley truly is the best place in college football.

The best stadium in college football. Not only is it just the second largest, but it is the loudest, has the best student section, best tailgating, and lots of tradition. ESPN anylists all agree that this is the best atmosphere in college football

I've been to college football games all over the country, and you can't beat Beaver Stadium. The noise, the people, and that 20,000 + student section, especially during a White Out game, is amazing. When the "We are...Penn State" goes up, there is nothing like it.

Beaver stadium is with out a doubt THE greatest place to watch a football game. As sports illustrated said watching a game at beaver stadium is the number one thing ANY college student should do before graduating. And it was also ranked the number one tailgating school in the nation.

I was witness to the second largest crowd ever at Beaver Stadium (109,839) as Penn State beat Ohio State on 10/8/05. I have been to many sporting events and have never felt the stadium literally shake and move like Beaver Stadium did at that game. You could see the upper deck moving and old people were jumping up and down like 20 year old students, when the scoreboard said "Bounce". That is what a football game is all about.

The stadium used to be even better before the luxury boxes were installed. Mount Nittany could be seen from the inside of the stadium Yes, it does too like a huge erector set, as m1970 so aptly put it. Having said that, it has a distinctive look with the navy and white yard numbers painted on the field. There have been some memorable games there, such as the 1982 showdown with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Yes, McCloskey was out of bounds. Huskers got their revenge in '94. ROAR LIONS ROAR!!!

I just returned from the OSU/PSU game. Was very disappointed in the way the students treated the visiting fans. Witnessed students running up to people in OSU gear yelling profanities and encouraging violence - did not matter if it was adults or children. The stadium itself is non-descript as it shows that it has been added on too, and added on too, and added on to.....no character. The crowd was loud, but have heard louder at Clemson and Florida. Having been to over 15 stadiums, this one was the worst experience I have had to date - even worse than Duke, although it may not be full, you did not have to witness classless acts. I have a new cheer for PSU...You are....No Class!

Has been coach and team. Stadium packs people in like spoiled sardines and charges too much for an inferior product.

No bigger place for tailgating! You better have something to come to see when your the largest stadium on the East Coast. To bad the fans don't have much to cheer about these days. Need to bring back the old rivalries with WVU and SPITT!

Fans are courteous and know the game. Unfortunately, for the # of fans they are quiet as a mouse.

In this case, size doesn't matter. The stadium is huge, but quiet. In the end, I wasn't impressed. If you want to see the giant stadium everyone is always crowing about, just drive by it sometime...but don't lose sleep if you don't end up actually seeing a game there.

Awesome stadium. Great view of the mountains. Great view of the game. Great big screens to watch replays. Great head coach on the sidelines. Couldn't ask for a better place to be on a Saturday afternoon.

Pros: Good band, excellent tailgating scene, great student section and unique design. Cons: Has that Errector Set feel. Team has not been doing well lately, which leaves the place feeling a little empty. What other stadium puts all its upper deck seats in the end zone?

I think it is one of the best stadiums of any sports. It's big,it's loud, and has one of the best atmosphere in college football. The fans are loyal and very loud. There had to been at least 20,000 students in the student's section in one game

I'm a little biased here but, I've traveled all around for college football. This is as good of a setting as it gets.

Reminds me of old Arlington Stadium where the Rangers played. Add on here, add on there, it's configuration is maddening.

Bigger is not necessarily better. Beaver Stadium looks like a huge erector set that someone decided to set up in the middle of a cow pasture. This place has absolutely no character at all!!
