Batman: Arkham Asylum

Unfortunately it took me a little longer than expected to get Batman: Arkham Asylum due to problems with the supplier messing up my order for about a month. Finally it did arrive and all I can say is - it was worth the wait. I'd heard so many people comment that it's the best Batman game ever, and I have to agree with that sentiment, though considering some of the bad games we've been subject to in the past it hardly is surprising (though there were one or two I used to enjoy back in the days of the Spectrum) that people are pleasantly surprised. Without even looking at the game it has some credibility with Batman fans just for the fact that it features four alumni from the 90's animated Batman television series. Paul Dini (who also did animated series of Superman, Justice League, Ewoks, etc.) reprises his role of writer and has put together a gripping story of Joker taking control of Arkham Asylum and pits the inmates against the Dark Knight.
