Wed Jul 14 2010I recently took a trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. And we decided to visit Mena, Arkansas. We stopped at Wendy's/Baskin Robbins for lunch. All I can say is that I am extremely DISSATISFIED with my visit! 100% dissatisfied. I bought a drink at Wendy's (that was connected to Baskin Robiins) My family and I went in to shop at Baskin Robbins just to look around (it is also a souvenier shop), and decided to refill my drink that I bought at Wendy's. They have a fountain drink dispenser in the middle of the store at this Baskin Robbins. I did not think it would be such a huge deal to refill my drink while I was there. And as soon as I got there to refill my drink, this lady who works at Baskin Robbins begins to yell at me, thinking that I am stealing! SHe begins telling me that she is going to call the cops on me if I don't go pay for the "not even" 1/4 cup full of Dr. Pepper that I refilled my drink. It was only the top of the SMALL cup, I did not even fill it up! I told her I'd just go pour i... Read more

Thu Jul 02 2009I never get a chance anymore to go to Baskin Robbins but I do love their ice cream. My favorite is the Chocolate Peanut Butter. The big chunks of PB are sooo good! I also like their strawberry daiquiri and their mint chocolate chip! As far as "chain food" ice cream goes I think their pretty good.

Sun May 24 2009EXTREMELY expensive, with small portions. My boyfriend and I went there once and it cost $10 for a one scoop sugar cone and a small chocolate shake! The ice cream is very, very average at best...you'd be better off getting something from the grocery store. It tastes better and it's a hell of a lot cheaper and you'd get a hell of a lot more of it!! I should note that one summer day I went and got a one scoop in a sugar cone. $4.00 later, I realized that I had super-soft ice cream that started melting INSIDE the store on top of a slightly stale sugar cone. I didn't even bother to complain. I just ate it anyway and vowed to never return.

Fri Dec 26 2008Believe it or not, as popular as Baskin Robbins is, I have only been there two or three times that I can think of, but I was always happy with the ice cream and the service.

Wed Jul 02 2008Don't each much ice cream any more but B-R used to make a dynamite ice cream cake for birthday parties. Awesome cake. The kids loved them.

Tue May 20 2008What do you say we take a nice, refreshing break. This item came up in Men's Health and has been given the title of "The Unhealthiest Drink in America" and is worth a look-see. Bare in mind that a teaspoon of white sugar is around 4 grams and our bodies can't handle more than 3 teaspoons of sugar in any given day. That being said, let's take a look at The Champ, Baskin Robbins 32oz Heath Bar Shake. What's in it?-266 grams of sugar (That's 66 teaspoons)-108 grams of fat (64 of which are saturated fat)-2310 calories-73 ingredients (including High Fructose Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated Oils, and an indutrial waste product called Soy Lecithin) yummy!Someone please add this to "The Best Ways to Die" list....*OOOPS*...I left one out. Baskin Robbins was worried that this Vat of Death just might not have enough flavor, so they dumped 1560mg of salt into it. What's more, they have, unashamedly, posted a page that lists all of the ingredients here.

Sun Sep 04 2005I went to the Baskin & Robbins at 302 5th Avenue Sunday evening (9/4/2005). I ordered an item that was on a photo. I asked the man to give me that item but to substitute the ice cream pictured on the photo with no sugar added ice cream -- keep all of the other ingredients the same. Photo: 2 scoops of regular ice cream substitute those 2 scoops with no sugar added ice cream Whipped cream Chocolate chips Brownie Is that simple enough? No. He struggled to see the picture which was facing me, then proceeded to give me one scoop of the sugar-free ice cream and one scoop of the wrong ice cream in a tiny cup. Problem #1 He didnt comprehend what I ordered and was not familiar with the product. Once I realized that he didn't know what he was doing, I asked another employee who seemed to be able to communicate better. The second man put a cherry and nuts on the item. Problem #2 - There were neither cherries nor nuts on the photo of the item that I ordered. I pointed this out b... Read more

Thu Jul 07 2005Not at the top, but if you're ever in Delhi, India, and haven't had a good ice cream in awhile, it is an absolute 10 star experience.

Mon Apr 11 2005B-R used to be the eminent ice cream chain back in the day but they havne't kept up with some of the competition. Still pretty good, though.

Mon Mar 28 2005Everywhere I go for this, it ends up tasting like a fridgerator but if you get the pre-packaged stuff it's good.Only reason I didn't give it a 1

Mon Feb 28 2005This is a 2 part answer. I like the B & R stores that are just ice cream. The ice cream is fresher and they have a nice selection of cakes. The B & R stores that share space with Dunkin Donuts have limited flavors, small selection of cakes, and the products look like they stay in the freezers longer. These shared space locations have the ice cream there just to make some extra bucks.

Thu Nov 25 2004This classic never gets old fashion. My favorite: Pralines & Cream. But for taking home I prefer Hagen Daaz or Edy's

Wed Nov 17 2004I prefere Cold Stone this stuff just doesn't compare. If I wanted packaged ice cream I'd go the cheaper route and try Rite Aid.

Fri Oct 01 2004We have a ton of them but most of them have may be two varieties because they're part of Dunkin Dounuts and have no room, or are dirty. The taste is pretty good but for all the work I have to go through to find a decent one, I'll just go to my grocery store and buy a Haggen Daz (I think that's how it's spelled...).

Mon Aug 02 2004I wish they'd replace our Baskin Robbins with a Ben & Jerry's. :/ Their Brownie Madness (frozen yogurt) isn't bad though.

Tue Jun 29 2004The ice cream is good, but the store in Tucson, Az. Broadway/Swan is dirty and the don't get Jamocha Almond Fudge in the quart size. I call, I plead, but they blame the company. Who can I speak to? I would sure like some help, with this matter.

Thu May 06 2004This chain is getting older, but they still are the standard and there are some flavors I won't ever be able to stop eating like Jamoca Almond Fudge. Some stores are old and dirty though.

Wed Apr 21 2004I have to admit that I loved BR as it was my thing for growing up. Alas, they have gotten older and dirtier and the staff less friendly. I give it 3 stars just for the Jamoca Almond Fudge. Now that I've creamy premium ice cream like B&J; and Haagen Dazs, I know that it doesn't quite compare.

Wed Nov 05 2003It doesn't even come close to the greatness of Dairy Queen's Queen's Choice Hard Ice Cream. In fact, I can't think of any ice cream fast food chain that can compare to DQ....

Fri Sep 27 2002I like Baskin Robbins. I am a big icecream lover and have always liked trying out new flavors. So I like that Baskin Robbins offers tons of different flavors. And they are willing to give a small sample of a flavor too. When I was younger there used to be a lot of Baskin Robbins around. like Castlebee mentioned I have also noticed that a lot of them have closed their doors. Two in particular had been opened for years. As for prices I would say that BAskin Robbins is moderate for what they charge. Not cheap, but not outrageously expensive either.

Thu Sep 26 2002Terrible company!!! I had a problem and had to go to head office. They offered me something then reneged. I have been fighting Allied Domecq (company that owns Baskin Robbins) since that time. It has been close to 2 YEARS of fighting them. They are ignoring my e-mails.

Mon Dec 10 2001I love Baskin Robbins! The only problem is, we don't have any here in Omaha- augh! They seem to be disappearing from places I've lived, like Minnesota. I LOVE the Jamoca Almond Fudge. I always get a two-scoop sundae with lots of toppings. I also like their cones and the variety and selection of flavors. Come back, Baskin Robbins!

Thu Oct 25 2001I remember as a child going to the mall with my mom and we would always stop at the Baskin' Robbins for a treat. My favorite was the chocolate. They closed down a few years ago.
by callmetootie
Sun Oct 07 2001Not too bad, but why the heck do they have to put 300 cherries in the Black Cherry ice cream!!!
by castlebee
Wed Aug 08 2001Yep, I love this place too! I'm kind of puzzled though since they have always featured an excellent selection and their high standards have remained constant, I've noticed some stores have been closing in my area. As others have mentioned before me, this is definately the place for those seeking excellent taste without the extreme richness of Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry. The price is usually a bit more down to earth too since they are not burdened by a "designer" label. My usual order has always been a scoop of banana and a scoop of cherry. Num!

Tue Jun 12 2001Yummmmy! I have one right down the street from me. My usual is a brownie sunday. We also like a peanutbutter chocolate shake.

Mon May 21 2001Baskin-Robbins is a classic. The ice cream is excellent, and the variety of flavors is impressive. Some premium ice creams are too rich and heavy, but that's not the case with Baskin-Robbins. I liked all of the flavors I've tried, but I'm especially fond of jamoca almond fudge and pralines 'n cream. My family often buys the ice cream pies and cakes for summer celebrations, and they're always delicious and decorated nicely. If given a choice, I'd go for Baskin-Robbins over Haagen-Dazs any day.

Mon May 21 2001Do they actually have 31 flavors? I've never really counted, but it seems like there are more. Anyway, it's great ice creme (except that I'm a firm believer that mint ice creme should be WHITE, not green). They have all those basic flavors (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, green chocolate chip mint), as well as a whole truckload of other favorites, though I must confess my favorite is the French vanilla (yellow, not white, by the way). They also sell ice creme cakes there... might want to get one for a birthday or something, but I typically stick with ice creme in a cup... always felt cones were too messy.
