Absolutely the best Thai food around. Staff is very friendly and provide great service.

Loving Thai food and having been to many Thai Restuarants in Charlotte as well as in other states, dining at BANGKOK OCHA is the WORST of the WORST! Their chef do not know how to cook what is already on their VERY limited menu. To make things worst, the attitude of their young male and female wait person stinks! It is not even worth a star!

My family loves this place, we bring everyone who visits Charlotte here and have had no complaints. It's a small family type atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and accomidating. Sure they don't have a huge menu but it changes everyday as does the soup for lunch each day. If you're in Charlotte and are in the mood for Thai...this is the place.

Are you guys kidding? Not worth it? Worse restaurant? Wow. I am a regular and the service is always great and it is only outdone by the food. I would recommend it to anyone who wants really good Thai food. One bad experience by one person should not count as heavily by a significant amount of extrememly positive experiences.

Worst resturant to be in, not at all kid-friendly.Hostess is always in bad and awful mood. Would not recommend to any body. It is waste of money and time. Menu is very limited and does not have option making food milder. There are better Thai resturants in the neighbour hood,

Menu is small, many Thai dishes missing. Not really kids friendly as when walking in my kid received a Shhhhhhh from the waiter. Atmosphere quiet would recommend it only if you need to fulfill your cravings on curry or coconut.

The Scene Tucked away in the Carmel Commons Shopping Center, this gem of an restaurant would be easy to overlook if it weren't for its stellar reputation. The understated décor--dim lighting, muted colors, soft background music--means the food takes center stage. Service is polished, prompt and courteous. The Food Bangkok Ocha prepares some of the freshest Thai food in Charlotte--all beautifully presented, with a mixture of intense colors, textures and flavors. Plump tulip dumplings, filled with fresh ground shrimp, chicken, and water chestnuts, are enhanced by a zesty ginger soy sauce. A chef's seafood specialty, chu chee, features delicately fried jumbo shrimps and scallops in a spicy coconut-curry sauce. Another, ped gra pow, sliced, boneless duck served with colorful vegetables, is enhanced by a sweet basil and garlic-infused brown sauce. Pandan custard--made with sweet, sticky rice steeped in coconut milk and paired with a nutty flavored custard--ends the meal on a sweet n... Read more

Service is slow, but food is well prepared. Tastes are distinct throughout dishes. This is the place I go out of the way for for Thai. Good but not fussy.

Delicious appetizers, great ginger and basil dishes. The food is fresh. We have been going a couple of times a month for years. Our favorite "I could eat there all the time" restaurant in Charlotte. Lunch is delicious. Prices at lunch are incredibly inexpensive and dinner is very reasonable as well.

By far the best Thai food in Charlotte and I would venture to think one of the tops east of the Mississippi! The shrimp and scallops in their signature peanut sauce is to die for!

I have been searching for flavorful Thai in Charlotte and Bangkok Ocha hits one out of the park. I have been craving it since the first morsel. I have to try not to go there everyday!!! During lunch you can get soup, eggroll, generous meal portion and sweet tea for $7. I have been unable to equate this deal with the same degree of tastefulness anywhere!

The food was excellent, the best I have had in Charlotte. The prices are reasonable and the staff is prompt and courteous. Definitely order the Custard Sticky rice for dessert. It is nowhere to be found on the menu so make sure you ask for it!!!

Enjoyed the food at lunch and was impressed with the staff--they balanced being attentive and letting us talk without interuption. Very good bargain for the lunch menu and the quality of the food!

I haven't gone for dinner but the lunch menu is very reasonable, including unsweet tea and daily soup (my fave is served on Tuesdays and Saturdays). The food is incredible...I've never had better pud-thai. I usually take my seven-year old son with me and we have mother-son lunch on Saturdays and he loves it too. Great service and good food make this place a permanent place for our special time!
