Great game to play with people who are good at bluffing, not so great to play with english teachers... they always know what the real definitions are!!

Always enjoyed this. . .really challenges your vocabulary and allows you to show off what you know to other people. . .or what you don't know. . .

This is a pretty good game. Great for a few laughs and for letting that creativity go wild.

This is a fact and bluffing game. If the other party is bluffing, I recoomend you say Balderdash. Not impressed.

Making up bogus definitions is great, but my favorite category is the one involving the crazy state laws that exist! Most times the correct answer's more funny than the bluffs.

If you want a really fun party game where people let it all hang out (I'm not talking about family night games)this game can take on a life of it's own. I've never laughed harder than when having a few drinks with friends and played this. Try it with people that aren't cinched up.

I haven't played Balderdash, but I played a variation of it which was similar. It involved coming up with answers to some pretty wild questions that no one in their right mind would know the answer to (Why is it a tradition to throw an octopus in the middle of the rink before a hockey game?). Personally, I love coming up with creative BS. Lots of fun.

Best party game of all time. We played it at the Christmas party we had at home with my whole mom's side of the family. It is a great game. You have to make up definitions on what is the correct meaning to the word and then the other people vote on what they think the meaning of the word is. It's tons of fun. I love it.

We played this in English class the other day, and overall, it was pretty fun. It requires intelligence, as obviously, in order for your definition to be chosen, you have to make it sound official and eloquent. It's pretty hilarious listening to some of the definitions that people come up with. Great game to play with the family!

It's crap

Absolutely love this board game. Play it with my family a lot that includes many of my cousins aunts uncles and grandparents and such.

I have a lot of fun with this one. It calls for creativity and a good poker face. I've played "Beyond Balderdash" w/ which you can make up fake synopses for movies, events on certain dates and acronyms. But making up definitions for those unearthly words is what makes this game just great.

I adore this game! Reading, writing and bluffing all in one game! Playing Balderdash really gets everyone laughing. Four can play, but Balderdash is at it's best when played with six or more. A good game for Christmas or summer vacation at the cabin.

I was extremely skeptical of this game at first, but it turned out to be one of the best party games I've ever played. Perfect for a group of 5-6 people.

As far as board games go, this one is OK. I doubt I would want to play this game on a Fruday night or anything (unless I was with my parents or something). There are some really funny points to the game and it is best to play with witty people who can make the game that much more fun.

I've played this game once and I really liked it. Fortunately, I was playing with people who are smart and creative. Otherwise, it would have been tortuous. I will tell you that I don't think this is the game to play with your buddies on a Friday night. Like most games, this is more fun with a mix of guys and girls.

It can be fun but it really depends on the group playing (such is true with almost any game), if they are really creative it can be a blast. Isn't this basically the dictionary game? Boy someone really cashed in on this one, all they had to do was take an age old game played for free by families everywhere and make a board and put some graphics on it.

This game can be very, very amusing when played with the right people and a little alcohol. The game is based around people making up mock definitions for words. These definitions are mixed with the real definition and read out loud at the end of each round - people who are able to write the most convincing definitions get to move their board piece towards the finish line. If you take the time to play this game, make sure that you are playing with literate, creative, articulate people.
