Oh my God the drivers here are fucking idiots they don't go when the light turns green and when your a/c is broken in your car and it's 110 degrees outside it sucks even more. I hate the sunshine state

Trashing Florida is easy- but the 'bad driving' label won't work for me. Between LA and DC, I'd say that Florida is low on this list of offenders. Although speed on the highway is considered (strangely) a healthy and appropriate habit far too often.

Florida is where  angry young dudes and dudettes meet the deaf and blind elderly in 'accidents' that are sometimes quite spectacular.

The Florida transit system sucks and cycling is suicidal, in south Florida anyway, so you must drive everywhere. I couldn't believe how easy it was to get a driver's license...I only had to drive within a parking lot for like 5 minute...20$ and here you go...In 2 years of driving around Miami, I'm convinced it can't really be much worse. I've been cut by dumbasses sooooo many times, most of them were young and feeling better than everybody, way too dumb and proud to drive like a decent person...These guys probably don't stop when they hit somebody...

Orlando drivers are New Yorkers who spent most of their life using public transit, and don't have enough hours behind the wheel to actually know how to drive safely above 35 mph.

They cut you off, tailgate you, give you the finger or worse...shoot you. I-95 is a death trap.

Tis true, driving in Florida is very frightening. Drivers constantly weave in and out of lanes in the Miami area probably beacause of the combination of young drivers in hot rods and geriatric drivers. Florida is the only place where I've had to slam on my breaks in the fast lane which seems to happen frequently on I-75.

I am appalled at watching the news in the morning down here. There's always a major accident somewhere nearby! I mean, I guess it's better than having a new murder being reported every day like in Baltimore, but many of these accidents involve one or more fatalities, so the death rate seems to be the same!

There are bad drivers everywhere though certain traits seem to go with certain states. I can pet peeve about different types of bad driving for every state Ive lived in.

I sometimes think that Wisconsin should make tollways, so the Illinoyances can pay to use our roads. We have to pay to use their roads, and they abuse ours by driving recklessly!

The reason I have yet to get my license, actually. I grew up in a town of fewer than 1000 people. There was rarely any traffic, I could play in the middle of the highway if it so suited me not that it ever did. I came here in '96, when I was 10. I'll be 20 this year and have steadily watched the area get worse, in many respects, but traffic is the worst. I go into town, with whoever is driving and I swear we'll be involved in 6+ close calls within the first 5 miles of my house. If it's not the younger speed-demons, then it's the women who argue with their passengers or with the person on their cell phones. If it's not either of them, then it's the 80 year old man/woman who probably should have had their licenses revoked in the 1980's.

I have to strongly agree. I hate Florida drivers. All of my friends have been in bad accidents recently due to other people's bad driving.

Yes, Florida is notorious for their bad drivers. Especially in urban areas, this can be quite a problem. Much of it can be attributed to the very rapid growth of the region, which causes lots of traffic and therefore very anxious drivers. The worst drivers I've seen here are actually up in Orlando. Tourists especially tend to get distracted while driving because they get lost or are looking around at the sights, thus they create a lot of accidents and just plain old bad driving. I-4 is especially notorious for this.
