What happened to the BabyRuth candybar?? I used to love them as a kid, but now they are soft & mushy in the middle...and tasteless. I tried a mini-bar and thought it was substandard because it was the smaller version. But when I ate the regular version it was the same, boring flavor as the mini. What a disappointment!

Hmm...Baby Ruth candy bars...a strangely conflicting part of my childhood. On one hand, I remember the original--waxy, chocolate-like(is it really chocolate?) coating enveloping a generous slathering of peanuts, caramel, and....rock hard nougat. Seriously. It was like biting into a brick. Then came the new and improved variety, or the version most people without battle-scarred incisors can remember. They kept most of the good stuff, but they totally changed the nougat formula. Now that was a good idea. It was much better tasting and far less likely to frag your molars. ...Well, maybe not immediately, anyways. In any case, though, they need to up the quality of the chocolate still. The waxy, crumbly texture is a little blah, at least to me.

Almost like the backup to the Snickers, which is a compliment.

These are the worst! Plus, they look like a TURD! They always taste old and flavorless.

One of my perennial favorites. It's a real solid candy bar - plenty of taste, nice and chewy. You do have to be careful about the debris field it leaves in the area, but it's a worthwhile price to pay for the taste experience.

Perhaps the one candy bar that I enjoyed in childhood that I still get a yen for on occasion. It is a substantial bar, but messy...you'll end up with crumbs of chocolate all over yourself. A relatively minor annoyance, in my opinion, but don't eat one of these before going out on that important job interview...

Better than Snickers. Bigger peanuts. A very substantial candy bar. Probably my favorite. But they are MESSY!

These things are phonominal. I mean, they make you wanna get more. People that don't like these are probably just allergic to peanuts. Grab one of these and you'll be screaming your head of. Oh while you're at getting these. Get a few extra for yourself and your freinds.

It's a good taste but damn, does it have to flake off so much. That's the only reaon why it's a 4 and not a 5. Every bite breeds a mess. Don't forget, when you get done eating a Baby Ruth, don't forget to look down and check your clothes you might have bits of chocolate/peanuts on it. A real mess when you're inside of a car on a sunny day.

When you need a little chocolate fix, Baby Ruths are deliciously choclatey. I like the combination of tasty milk chocolate and crunchy peanuts. They can be a little messy, but overall they're a great snack.

I once paid $3.00 for a Baby Ruth. I was living abroad in college, and I had an uncontrollable urge to eat a Baby Ruth. (Strangely enough, I hadn't really liked the candy bar very much before that.) Anyway, I found Baby Ruths for sale in a fancy hotel, and I bought one. Few foods have hit the spot the way that Baby Ruth did. It was almost a spiritual experience. Even though I felt terrible spending so much on a candy bar, it was worth every penny. I don't think I've had a Baby Ruth since then, but I'll never forget how that one special bar tasted.

I just had one of these (by accident, I was trying to be good and get a granola bar out of a vending machine but out came a Baby Ruth). What an amazing candy bar. It is so good. It has all the elements of a Snickers but it is totally different. It is a nugget middle (the nugget kind of has a peanut taste but it isn't overbearing), it is then covered in a layer of carmel so they can roll it in peanuts and they'll stick. So far, it is nugget covered in carmel, wrapped in peanuts...sound good? Well, it gets better because it is all held together when it is dipped in chocolate. It is so good.

I used to like a Baby Ruth,...but I really lost my taste for them after seeing Bill Murray fishing that one out of the pool in Caddyshack, now they all taste like they have been in the water and not necessarily pool water.

There are about 6 or 7 bars that I would purchase before getting a Baby Ruth. I like them, but it's just not at the top of my list.

Ruth Ruth Baby Ruth..I always think of Sloth from the Goonies and Chunk sharing his Baby Ruth, or of course the famous Caddy Shack Scene. They are just o.k. in my book..Not fantastic..but hey, I could eat one!
