Sun Jun 21 2009My Bichon Frise has beem eating Azmira dry kibble since 2 months old. He is healthy, bright eyes, healthy teeth and gums, all said by his vet! Stool is formed and regular, no odor and no flatulence. Don't have to feed him as much of this food since it is concentrated. He does not have any allergies to the ingredients. He does not have the stained eyes that many dogs of this breed have like the red tear stained. There are no beets in it and I like that for him. I have heard that beets in dog food can cause the tear staining and it was hard to find a dog food that didn't have beets in it! He is very energetic. He often gets beef(about the size of a 25 cent piece or a liitle natural cheese sprinkles added to it for variety. Some of Azmira food does have mushrooms, but not all of it has. The food has lots of nutrients and vitamins that are really good for development. My dog has energy and is not nervous or hyper. I believe this is really a high grade of dog food since my dog is now 18 mon... Read more

Tue Sep 16 2008Amira is a horrible, low quality food. Stay away from it if you care about your dog. This stuff is disgusting and should not be fed to any dog. It provides no nutritional value. My dog hated it and it was very expensive. My dog did not like the taste of this food.

Mon Aug 18 2008I was told years ago by our vet that one way that I can judge a dog food is by what comes out. In other words, if you feed your dog cheap and innutritious, poor quality dog food, he will have pungent, smelly, soft poo --- and very frequently. If, however, you feed your dog a higher quality food, the end result will be almost odorless, routine and firm poo, less often. I have fed my Shar Pei Amzira for over a year and my vet raves about how healthy his coat looks, how bright his eyes are and (I'm not kidding) unless you are kneeling right on top of it, you CANNOT smell his poo and it's like clockwork! My pup is full of energy and seems to be quite happy with it. NOT TO MENTION I didn't have a thing to worry about with the CHINA DOG FOOD SCARE! That alone is worth the 5 stars! With that said, I REALLY wish they would hire a top notch webmaster to redesign their webpage. If their food was judged by their website, I would be hesitant. So as my gramma always said: We can't judge a book b... Read more

Sat May 26 2007Wonderful Food! Becareful of fad diets who only concentrate on protein. Dogs need a well balanced diet and Azmira delivers. People cross the street to tell me how healthy my dog looks. This is a 'micro brew' of dog foods baked in small batches by conciencious people who have done clinical studies on the use of herbs, extracts, and homeopothy. I trust Azmira 100%!

Sat May 19 2007I asked the company Azimira where is their facility and never got and answer and I could careless that they sell this food to other countries. I asked the representative and she had no idea as to what state the processing facility was located. Why is this secret information????

Sun Apr 08 2007Decent food, you could do a lot worse....and alot better. The main grains are barley and oatmeal, both decent quality. Sorghum is a carbohydrate source low in digestibility, and considered a filler. Apple pomace is the fibrous remains of juiced apples (also filler). Overall, the main concern with this food is low meat content. It appears to be a grain-heavy product.

Fri Oct 28 2005Good ingredients and came highly recommended but my Australian Shepherd/Lab mix just didn't like it. He kept leaving most of his food in his bowl so we switched him to Natural Balance and now he eats great.

Mon Nov 22 2004A friend recommended this food. My 2 year old Lab hated it, compared to Canidae, Eagle Pack Holistic, or Wellness. Even some of the ingredients are sub-par. They use Sorghum (good source of carbs, but low in digestibility), Fish meal (What kind of fish???), Natural flavors (What flavors???), and Apple pomace (waste product from juicing apples - low nutritional value - cheap source of fiber). Plus, aren't they just going a little overboard with Siberian Ginseng Root, Pau d'Arco (???), Milk Thistle Seed, and Rei-Shi-Gen Mushrooms. Sorry - this one just doesn't cut it.
