I loved AYA and I will always give AYA a first chance to find me an assignment. My grad school starts in a few weeks and I have a job lined up that will work great and provide me with income and time for my school work. Plus, its near my school in California and its my third assignment.

I am currently finishing up an assignment with Aya Healthcare in NYC, and I must say its been a really great experience. I've worked with 2 other companies previously, so I have tested the waters a bit... but my Aya Team was fantastic (Sophia & Jaime-thank you!). Here is what I liked: 1) My team was super attentive.. (never annoying or bullying like the larger company I worked for), but pointed my in the right direction, listened to what I needed and were always responsive and willing to go the extra mile to address anything I needed 2) Sophia gave me a lot of job options, and seemed to have a lot of good relationships with facilities so that I got the job I wanted :) 3) Finally, I think what makes an assignment really wonderful is when people explain it to you like it is and deliver what they say they are going to... And for this assignment that definitely was the case. Plus, if I had payroll question, they'd make sure I got questioned answered w/i the hour, if I had a question ab... Read more

I had a completely different experience. I work in Las Vegas with Aya and they've been great! I have the flexibility to pick my own schedule, and my recruiter Chelsea is awesome. I had a bunch of other agencies tell me that they could find me a job, but when it came down to it, they had nothing for me. Now in Vegas with Aya I am working 3-4 shifts a week, and love the hospital that I am working at. I have nothing but good things to say.

It says Aya is "a leading provider of travel healthcare and per diem staffing solutions...". That is such BS. AYA is a scam, they over promise and under deliver. They tell you these great things to get you to sign a contract fast, then once you've signed the contract they begin their scam. They promise you will have guaranteed hours and will work in your specialty, but that is not the case at all. When I worked my contract, I met many other nurses who like myself were not getting their hours and were lucky if they worked 2 days a week. They will also send you to units that are not within your specialty (example sending ICU nurses to work on med-surg units or the ER). I didn’t become a travel nurse to work totally outside of my specialty. They do not tell you how unsafe the hospitals are that you are traveling too. They make it seem like things are peaches and cream, but they’re not. They are very unprofessional and when they have figured out that you are upset, they stop retu... Read more

This so called company is scary. I could write a novel. The recruiters trick you into signing a contract by telling you that you have an assignment. If they cancel your assignment then they try to extort money from you through intimidation and scare tactics. Nurses, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BEWARE. I filed a complaint with the federal trade commission. I also posted a comment about one year ago on complaints board.com. At that time there were a few complaints, now there are several. There are also complaints on other websites with regard to this company, including ripoff.com. The complaints posted on these sites have the same theme, Aya, aka Access Nurses cancelled nurse assignment and now are after the nurse for money, health insurance not being paid, poor and unsafe housing, the list goes on and on. I am a seasoned nurse traveler and I have never be a witness to such practices. It is my sincere hope this company is being investigated and will be brought to justice.

This 'company' participates in the worst business practices ever! Contracts are not signed by the company in order for them to avoid 'breach of contract' lawsuits, contracts are invalidated by the company, lies are made to nurses willing to travel with their company where they promise jobs or contracts that don't exist, etc. Do not deal with these people without an attorney present. This company has a scam operation going on and will try to take money from the nurses who are willing to travel with them. It is a scam operation! Beware!!!!
