Larissa is a dumb bitch who made the biggest mistake of her life. I hope everyone looks down on her after this experience. The true winner is Brian. Hes probably got heaps of girls lining up to date him. Gill is a bloody insecure crybaby that cant handle it whem other guys are better looking than him. He can't even open up. What kind of women would want that? He's a sissy. Larissa is not what i call a dream women. She's the complete opposite..she's a nightmare. She's got rabbit teeth and her appearance changes whenever she piles on the makeup, so it's good she didn't pick Biran. He would have been drowned in her makeup.HAHAHA

This show was only good because I knew at the end Larissa would pick a pretty boy just like the last time so predictable and contrived, I dont think its fair that the average joes have to compete against these guys that are so fake they are cold unfeeling guys that hardly have jobs or a brain in their heads P.S Brian was a sweetheart and Larissa lost out JPH

Average Joe Hawaii- Wow! Gill should be called Shallow Gill. And Larissa can't help that she fell in love with Gil instead of Brian. Love is strange but I am sure if she would have chosen Brian he wouldn't have cared about her past. And no one please, give Gill any air time!!! He is a rotten actor. She should have known he wouldn't leave his job in Florida. I think believe if she called Brian, he would take her back to try again. Maybe she could fall in love now that Gill is gone. FW

I was kind of hoping that Larissa was really Larry and had a sex change operation. That would've been a helluva lot more exciting than just someone that dated a nobody like Fabio. She was a bitch that should've picked Brian instead of the stupid blond.

We, your viewers watched this whole show to have the one she picked be so shallow as to think she hadn't had relationships before..regardless of who it was, better it wasn't a rock star drug addict. Didn't like him anyway, but what a spoiled brat. [email protected]

Larissa was a fool not to pick Brain in the last episode of Average Joe. What was she thinking? Any woman would love to have a man as caring and compassionate as Brian. Here is a man that basically have never had an affair with a woman, and never has had an intimate relationship either. What woman wouldn't want that. If only I could find a man who never had sex with no one else. I would so special. I would let the world know I have a man that no one else has had. I cried when Brain confessed his love for Larissa. Didn't she get it!! And what happened when she chose Gill? He ended up dumping her after she told him she was an ex-girlfriend of Fabio. Big deal! I can't believe Gill had a sissy-fit. It just shows how stupid and Juvenile he is. Larissa asks Gill, What do want to get out of this experience What does he say? I want to be an actor! What a fool. Larissa wasn't looking for that type of answer. You could see the disappointment in her face. But she still chose Gill... Read more

ginnyk72 I was never really a lover of reality TV until the show Average Joe caught my eye. I loved the fact that average looking guys were finally going to have the chance to get the girl. But as soon as they added the twist by bringing in the pretty boys, I knew it was all over for Adam and the rest of the guys. Every Monday I watched it faithfully. I couldn't wait for the finale. I watched in horror as she picked Jason and not Adam. She obviously played Adam. I think everyone would agree when I say that I think Adam was more of a man, and so much hotter looking than Jason! I really loved the fact that Adam never, ever mentioned that he was well off (he had alot of money)to try and sway her decision to pick him. I cried so bad the night she broke Adams heart. Melana seemed to love it though. She smiled intirely too much when she told him that it was over. My heart went out to him. I wish I could have given him a great big hug! His smile was so incredible, if I weren't happily marrie... Read more

I watched the first two shows and then encouraged others to watch it.I would not have invested time in the show if I knew from the beginning all the games that would be played. The season finale shocked me. Melana is either cruel or the producers told her to lead Adam on. Her comments to him like I am going to move to New York or I didn't buy anyone else a present, but you. Adam is such a nice guy and he did not deserve to be treated this way. I am not upset that she found herself attracted to Jason, but more that she treated Adam so poorly. And what was the end all about. Having Adam sitting in a car with a broken heart and having Melana and Jason shoving their tongues down each others throats right in front of Adam. Even bachelor has the decency to drive off the person who didn't get chosen before the happy couple celebrates. That was obviously producer instructed. The fact that Adam was treated so poorly at the end of the show disgusts me. Did the producers really think that was goo... Read more

This is the first reality show that I was really into, because of how sweet and genuine all the Average Joes were. It reconfirmed the belief that decent guys do exist. However Melana treated Adam like garbage, probably broke his poor dorky heart, and did a terrible job of representing women in this country. Oooh, I have a choice between a Backstreet Boy reject who is a 27 year old waiter, and a self-sufficient businessman who wants a family and loves me.. What do I do, what do I DO? Idiot. I couldn't even watch the last five minutes, it was torture.

i loved average joe but there at the end when melana picked pretty boy jason over adam i was really mad. i wanted to throw my pillow at her so bad. it has really showed me how shallow she is. since the first show i had liked melana but after that i don't like her at all. i would never picked jason over adam. adam is so much better than jason so much nicer and i think much better looking than him. my heart broke for adam when she told him that the romance had to end then. i really hope she knows what she has lost. she just don't deserve someone like adam he is way to good for her any way. i don't think adam is no average joe any way.

I only watch brief parts of several shows and chose to watch the final show to see what happened. After viewing for two hours I was sadly disappointed in her choice and her total lack of brains. All see seem to want was a meek pretty boy that she could shape. I then saw them on J. Leno the next evening and what they had to say confirmed everything. She picked someone she could have some fun with and dump as she was and is not interested in anything further. Also her statements regarding the show and what people were told tells everyone that NBC just plain lied to the world. You just lose a viewer of any of your main programs. Jake 2.0 vs the West Wing, its Jake for me.

I'll admit that I was so pissed off after the finalle that I couldn't even sleep. My heart goes out to Adam. But all in all, Melana doesn't deserve a GREAT guy like him anyway! The twists and turns in the shows advertisments kept me interested just to see what would happen next. But last night when Melana put on her sad face to tell Jason she chose him, and then put on her happy face to tell Adam he wasn't the one... made me just want to SLAP her! As for the show as a whole. I refuse to watch the Hawii show. This show is degrading and my heart goes out to all those that end up hurt in this situation.

When I saw the commercial for this, I thought, Hey, this is a nice twist. Of course, I didn't plan on watching it for more than a minute (to sample it), and it was just the usual reality claptrap. But, then, when I saw the commercial introducing 'hunks,' the concept seemed thrown out of the window. How about a show where a man is chosen because of his manners, intelligence, imagination, creativity and morals--and not LOOKS or MONEY!!!!

I'm not one for reality shows, however this show caught my attention. I was hooked, but I caught it midway, right as she had narrowed it down to the last 3 and when they brought in the other 3. I found Adam to be the sweetest guy! I was completely upset and outraged that Melena did not pick him!!! Jason, to me, was not that attractive. I thought Adam was WAY better looking, and that smile of his was contagious. I wish that Melena could have woken up to smell the coffee. I give it less than 6 mons before she realizes what a mistake she made and tries to hunt Adam down. With any luck, he'll send her packing!! But, to be honest, Adam deserved someone better than Melena. Sure she was pretty, but you can see just how shallow she was. I wasn't fooled by her, and I'm so sorry Adam was and was hurt by her. I hope Adam finds true happiness. If I were available I would definitely be knocking on his door!!!

I have been feeling horrible after viewing the finale of Average Joe. I would have rated this series a five if Melana had not ruined it by picking that pretty-boy! Everyone keeps refering to Adam as the average Joe. Was Adam really the average one in this whole thing though? I think later on down the road Melana will kick herself when Jason finds something new and exciting to look at and gets bored with her. Adam is the type of man any woman would dream of. He is funny, never boring, romantic, puts his woman up on a pedistal, and YES awesome looking, and even if he ended up being a waiter as Jason is. The money doesn't play a part in what Adam's worth is. Whatever woman wins his heart will be the luckiest woman in the world. Melana was just a learning tool for him.

Overall, I like this show. The basis is interesting, and it's the only reality show that I've watched for more than one episode. But the fact that the entire point of the show, of showing America that a beauty queen could learn to love an average joe was ruined last night when that beauty queen chose the good-looking student over the charming businessman. Now, I'm not saying that Jason was a bad choice -- he was sweet, sincere, considerate of Malena's feelings. But the fact is, she had a crush on Zach for the entire five weeks and who's to say that this thing with Jason isn't just a passing infatuation? It was a shock to me that she would give up all she had with Adam, but watching it play out, I was so glad that I was not in her shoes. I don't think I could have handled breaking someone's heart quite as easily as she did.

Heres the thing, I myself feel like an average Jane (Joe), even though I have a good body and pretty face and Ive been told many times how attractive I am, on the inside I think I have always felt like most of the guys on this show, Average. I think most of us (the normal, average people) are looking for just what this show started to expose. The real man. A real person on the inside as well as the outside. Not a shallow shell of a person. My family and I were intrigued in the beginning by the concept of a real man to man challenge, with personality, sincerity, compassion and charm leading the way, everyone of them with the ability to win. We sat yelling at the TV as Melena sent home our choices and favorites. Always glad at the end of each show that at least one of our picks still remained, hopeful that hed be the one to shine in the end. Then 3 weeks ago the rules changed. It no longer was a game for the Average man but a shackle a round the legs of the best men preven... Read more

I have never voiced my opinion about any reality TV before. I am a reality TV JUNKIE!!! However, I was soooo disgusted by last nights Average Joe that I figured it was time I let off a little steam. I watched every episode of the show, and at first thought it pretty hilarious. I couldn't help but get caught up in the laughter at the men brought on the show. But I was impressed at how Melana composed herself and let herself open up to the adventure. As the show continued I really felt for these men that were getting mocked at. I became addicted to the show and couln't wait to see who Melana picked. I was so happy that there was a beautiful girl, who said she really didn't care about looks, was going to make one Average Joe happy. Well I was disgusted to see that she chose pretty boy Jason, who appeared to be playing her the entire time. I don't think we got to see the true Jason Peoples. Adam on the other hand. I very rarely watch reality TV but decided to give it a try after watching survivor. I thought Joe Average was great at first and she would give the normal guy a break. Then when they first brought in the HUNKS I thought that that was a low and dirty trick, and two of the three guys were sleazy looking. But knew the Average guy would be into trouble with Jason. Jason has great looks but the personity of a wet noodle. I tried to hope after the fat suit incident that maybe she was not as shallow as I first thought...But she proved my gut feelings were right. The snotty little beauty queen will always pick the handsome jock over the guy with the good heart. I am sure after NBC is done paying for their fantastic getaway and Melena still expects to be treated like a goddess but all Jason can afford is a quick trip to Mickey D and TV with Mom and Dad that romance will end. I really think Adam was the lucky one and can do much better then her... He is a great catch and any girl would be ... Read more

I'm sure a lot of people were disappointed in the way the show ended, but I think most people would have made the same decision Melana did. If the situation were reversed and a guy had to pick a pretty gal over one not so pretty, I think most guys would pick the pretty one. Most guys I know would rather live with a supermodel in a shack in the desert than with someone they weren't very physically attracted to who was wealthy and had a nice place to live. I admire people who can look past the exterior and see the inner beauty of people - I hope to become more like that myself. I think people will still watch the next show because they want to see if it turns out differently. I knew a security guard in LA that was short and not very good-looking and in his 50's who was with a beautiful model in her 20's - he worked at the modeling agency and she picked him because he was a really nice guy. So it can happen to the Average Joe.

As a reality show, one would have to rate this a 5. Reality both wonderful and ugly shows that the Hollywood ending is no guarantee, and that is what you got. Rated as an indivdual show it was completely flawed. Pitched as the chance for an Average Joe to win the beauty's heart, it trashed the concept by bringing in the pretty boys. To be true to the concept, it would be choose an Average Joe, or none at all. Saw the promo for the next show. Only redeeming thing was the reactions of our next beauty queen bleeping up a storm. I will tune in just to see if she is really as nasty as she seems. She may gut it up and be beauty queen fake, all smiles and compliments. If she plays it fake, ratings will plummit as we already know none of the average guys stand a chance. It would be a switch if she was just overtly nasty and see how the Average Joe's handle it.

i thought that bringing in 3 adorable men just made it worse for the average joe to win in that kind of situation. It is hard enough for the average guy to meet a normal female, and the show was supposed to show that yes, they can and build up their confidence. You know darn well that she would have picked the cute guy over anyone. If there is another show again, they better keep the same people in

I thought this was going to be a show about beauty is only skin deep. However, how can that be when more than halfway through the show they bring in 3 new guys,(the kind of guys Melana was expecting in the beginning of the show). Sure Jason seems to be a nice guy, but I was very disappointed to see that she did'nt pick Adam, the one who seemed so genuine, so down to earth, so loveable, SO F'ing REAL. She played him, I believe she lead him on to think he really had a chance. However... this I have to say to ADAM...Adam the way you handle yourself and the things you said, made the whole show worth watching, because it proved to me that you are a real man inside and out. And I think you are hot! If every man could think and treat a girl the way you seem too, this world would have a whole lotta of love and a lot less divorce. Good Luck to you Adam, your AWESOME BABY AND A GOOD SPORT!!!

What's with all the negativity? how can we say that Adam was the right choice for Melena? Was it because he had a lot of money, or was it because he had more chemistry with her than Jason did? About her being another airhead polluting the world with ignorance, I really hate the fact that people could be so hateful! I'm probably one of the happiest people in the world for her choosing Jason! I can guarantee that other people haven't had to make a decision like hers ever and for them to be saying negative things about her, that's just not fair! She isn't hypocritical, superficial, selfish, or stupid: I think she is intelligent, pretty, NOT superficial or selfish. I know for a fact that she didn't pick Jason on his looks but more so on his personality. They make an amazing couple and I hope they last a lifetime! Melena and Jason: if you guys get this, CONGRATULATIONS! I agree with your choice Melena and I hope everything works out for you and Jason! I AM the biggest fan of the show!

I JUST FINISHED WATCHING THE PAST SHOW WITH MARLAENA WHICH I HAVE FOLLOWED SINCE THE BEGINNING. I WAS KIND OF UPSET WHEN SHE SENT ZACH HOME, BUT EVEN MORE UPSET WHEN SHE SENT ADAM HOME, BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU BRING IN SOME OF THE BEST LOOKING GUYS YOU COULD FIND TO COMPETE AGAINST THE AVERAGE JOE. I PERSONALLY THINK MARLAENA IS A HYPOCRIT BEING THAT THE REASON SHE SENT ZACH HOME WAS BECAUSE HE TALKED BAD ABOUT SOMEONES APPEARANCE WHEN YOU KNOW THAT IS WHY SHE CHOSE JASON OVER ADAM. Before the last couple weeks I would have rated the show a five, but then NBC ruined it.. well NBC didn't do it at all. Melana ruined it. I knew when they showed her reaction in the first show, but I wanted to wait and hope that she would look past looks and see the guys. Then I knew when she went for the best looking in the average bunch, Zach, that she was a liar that didn't look for personality but really only looked for the way a guy would look on her arm. I hate what she did to all the wonderful guys that were on this show.. They are sweet, charming, caring guys that become more and more handsome with each moment we know them, but she took that and reduced it to nothing. I don't know how she can ever say she didn't just go for looks when she picked Jason since she said when she picked him that he had the looks, smile, and he was so handsome she couldn't say no to that. My wife and I sat down to watch the last show. Very disappointed. To add my proverbial 2 cents, I feel that the show ended like it should have, and not like I wanted it to end. Yes the producers twisted us into thinking Adam was the best (which I DO believe he was), but they toyed with the viewers emotions by bringing Adam's sincerity to the forefront. I do believe that Melana made the best choice for her. She picked someone who looked good on her arm. Adam has proven himself in the workplace, homeplace, and exists in an area sought by so many... being comfortable with himself and his own abilities. He was definitely hurt by the decision and will take time to recover. It is sad to say, but I am glad Melana did not pick him because he will be better off without a young lady like that. I saw some pretty poor decisions from her. Unfortunately she was wrapped up in the superficial and she chose the right boy for her. Tha man walked away. We are not watching the next Average Joe ... Going into tonight's show, I would have been rating this series with 5 stars! After seeing Melana make the biggest mistake, I found myself shutting off the tv feeling disappointed. She took what would have been something wonderful with Adam and tossed it away because she likes looking at pretty-boy instead. Jason did not impress anyone with his wannabe weatherman smile except for Melana. She seemed mesmerized by his boring and dull existence. I'm shocked that she would play it off with Adam this way - he's a wonderful guy, family oriented, friendly, and caring - AND supports himself!! Melana made a huge mistake. She proved that pretty little blondes only want to be with pretty little boys. Obviously, she's not looking for a serious relationship (can't imagine how it didn't work out for her on Meet My Folks - please Melana!) I'm sure we'll see her on an episode of Blind Date, Fifth Wheel or Elimidate in the future. She's proven that the cameras and tv time are more important th... Read more

When I first shall the first preview for the show, I told myself that I wouldn't give this show a chance. My belief was absolutely right. However, I did get to see where the twist came in about bringing in the hunks. However, this completely turned my interest off because I knew those average joes had no chance now. I believe that this is true reality tv because what girl would you know who wouldn't pick the guy with the best looks. Let's think a minute here, Do you really think you could get the whole package. The gorgeous guy and wealth at the same time. Jason still lived with his parents. He is probably a player anyway. This one will not last. I really thought Adam had it nipped in the bud. However, there is always those twists. Suggestion, don't even bring the hunks next episode. This totally ruined the show. What was the point. I know that's reality.

Words can't even begin to describe how pissed off I am at this show! Before the finale, I would have rated this show a 5. However, I'm rating it a 1 because it sends out a horrible message to all those Average Joes in the end. What I thought was going to turn out to be a happy ending, that the underdog just might get the girl, turned out to be nothing more than rubbing it in that the Average Joe will never win a beautiful girl like Melana. You know, I thought this show was going to be different, but in the end, it turned out just like all the other reality dating shows out there: beautiful man/woman ends up with beautiful woman/man. As far as Average Joe 2? HAH! There is no way in hell I'll watch that or any other dating reality tv show. After watching every single Average Joe get shot down on the first show, why would I want to watch it again?

I really like the show Average Joe. The second week she eliminated the guys who were over 200 pounds. I agree that the show is not suposed to be about looks. The decisions that Melana has made I agree with. The new guys that came on the show were not Melana's decision & she was surprised like the guys. I feel that Melana was & is trying to be fair. She has to make a decision that she has nithing to base it on. Melana had to spend at least one date with the new guys to determine to make a fair decision. Melana did get rid of one of the pretty boys right away due to a conversation she had on the date. He told her too much that turned her off. John should be happy to last as long as he did. He was too high maintance. He snitched on Zach & acted like a baby. Melana couldn't of treated him any different to give him any clue he was going to be booted. I honestly thought that this was going to be different because it appeared as though it was trying to teach people about inner beauty. Instead we get a show about a whiny little hypocrite. She has been emotionally neglecting the average joes by spending all of her time with the new meat and then has the nerve to criticize them about what they said about her disguise in what the guy's thought was a private conversation. I'm sure if the choice was entirely her's she would have eliminated all of the average joes earlier in the game. I'm willing to bet she picks the hunk and I hope that he dumps her ass on national television.

At first, I was interested in the process Melina was to use to wade thru the rag-tag selection of so-called average joes. The whole theme was supposed to be based on quality of character instead of looks. That went out the window early. Melina has become transparent. In spite of her occasional words about how the decisions are 'tearing her up inside' and some comments about how her actions may be hurting some of the guys, her expressions sometimes look as though she is really enjoying playing with these guys' emotions - just to see the effect. The first couple of rounds eliminated the overweight guys - that was pretty obvious and based on appearance. The next few rounds seemed reasonable until the three hunks showed up. really puts the reality into reality tv. maybe some of the self absorbed non emotional hunks that pester decient people can grasp the emotion of being rejected. i certainly can. in a way i hope she picks zach so his dream can become true of being the best of the AVERAGE. then again Maybe just maybe this lady will see past the fake mocho now learning emotions and make him second to the best of the average joe. i really guess you have to be average to appreciate this show. real human nature at work the timid, emotional real person compared to the preditor, mindless womanizer. good luck to melina.

Watched the show for the first time this evening. I've never seen such a bunch of whining, backstabbing, apple-polishing, emotional and meniacle windbags. These people call themselves men? The woman on the show probably has a bigger set of stones than the contestants. No wonder they appear to have not ever had the attention of the opposite sex. I hope the drama is staged because if not, I've lost a lot of hope for humanity as we know it. I was actually hoping the belay line would snap when a couple of them were attempting to negotiate the rock wall.
