The Aveda Institute was recommended to me by a few friends and family members. I was absolutely not impressed with my experience and I will not be going back. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. I proceeded to the check-in area and sat down to wait for my name to be called. By the time I sat down, it was just about time for my appointment to begin. I waited for half an hour before I went back up to the desk to ask how long the wait would be. I waited for another 20 minutes and my stylist finally came to get me. The atmosphere was strange, to say the least. There were stylist-students sitting around everywhere without clients, doing each other's hair and gossiping. I felt as if there was little to no supervision of the students, but chalked it up to an informal atmosphere. My stylist kept leaving me in the chair, saying that she had to "go do something."
