Just "purchased a car online." Didn't think I'd ever do it, but it's technically not buying online, more like "initiating the car buying process online, finishing in-person." I had a great experience with Automotive, and not only did I get one of their free car price quotes, I also decided to get a free car insurance quote while I was at it. It's part of their free form submission, along with Auto Loan stuff. But basically I ended up getting a 2010 Pontiac G6 about $500 off the best price I negotiated myself when I was up in San Jose. An internet salesperson emailed me back within an hour of me submitting Automotive.com's form, and I gave him a call back and we went from there. Apparently Automotive.com is a broker of automotive deals, similar to how Kayak or Expedia is a broker of travel deals. If you utilize them you basically help them buy in bulk, and they pass the savings on to you. Highly recommended!
