Fri May 18 2012I currently have the Select version of this fine low land whisky. It is quite interesting, Somewhat light in body but the nose is unique. I get a some fresh green pears, vanilla in the nose. there is a very slight bitterness going on here, possibly the aging in spent bourbon casks but it isn't that much of a problem. Overall very fruity aromas and light on the palate. I definitely would buy this again for the beautiful aromas experienced when nosing this fine single malt.

Tue Oct 21 2008One of the nicest smoothest single malts I,ve tasted...I have tried dozens of single malts and this rates amongst the best although it does have a very distinctive taste....as to previous reviewers comments about might as well go for the irish...i really think your missing the point

Mon Nov 05 2007Triple distilled, so very smooth, it's alright, but I'd save my money and buy a cheap Irish Whiskey instead because that's pretty much what it tastes like anyway.

Thu Aug 21 2003Surprisingly mature and smooth for 10 years. Having toured Scotland and sampled many scotches this one has an "authentic" feel to it. Not as polished or smooth as some of the mass marketed brands so may take some getting used to for the neophytes, but still a distinctively appealing drink.

Sat Jun 14 2003The only scotch whisky produced by triple distillation (as all Irish are) has a special taste, and one need to get used to. It is not my favorite, but it stays a very important whisky. One of the few Lowland Whiskies which still exist.
