Not good at all. Doesn't find nearly as good information as Google.

The concept is good but the execution is miserable. Answers seem only to be based on keyword identification. Ask a question about snakes and you will get pointers to Monty Pythion!

Once a decent search sight, sponsored links and commercialism have almost wrecked it.

Great, a search engine which doesn't really work any more! Why is the title Ask Jeeves if Jeeves can't answer any of your questions. Why can't it be something like 'Ask (Anyone But) Jeeves?' Let's face it, Google is much more accurate.

What a great concept! Now, if only they could come up with better results when I search!

I will use any other engine but this one. Whenever I ask Jeeves something, he never knows what I am talking about. I end up going through tons of links and guesses trying to find what I am looking for. I usually just go to google and put in what I think it is and it finds it for me.

Sorry Jeeves, I'll take my questions to someone who can actually answer them.

I hate Ask Jeeves with a passion. The engine has never EVER given me correct results to searches. One time porn sites came up when I searched under Ford Expedition. Thats naked girls coming up with results with my search on the Ford Expedition. Jeeves must be some kind of sick idiot.

Google is tops when the user has a accurate search method. Ask Jeeves is better for first time web searchers.

I loved this site back when you could answer other people's questions. Now it's nothing more than a site to get links to other sites. What happened??! Bring back the old Ask Jeeves!

I have had some success in finding what I am looking for through Ask Jeeves.the biggest problem is trying to find the perfect way to word what I am looking for. Not always an easy task. Like most search engines, they take in to consideration every word in the sentence.so all kinds of topics can pop up. If someone were to ask if I would recommend Ask Jeeves I would say give it a try, you have a pretty good chance of finding results.

AskJeeves! used Infoseek!'s information cache from its ultraseek crawler results. When AskJeeves! denied access to this it started to suck.

Ask.com is pretty much a regular query serch engine. the olny good thing is the main page layout is somewhat ok (not including the sub-pages). It don't really answer your question. it simply uses the ASK! button as a fancy way of standard issue search button. it uses keywords like the rest of the search engines and it aften get you very confusing results that are hard to figure out. It also can't get the descriptions right because most of the listings have'nt been updated. several of the links are dead and some of them even take you to completely wrong sites that hide thier domain and make it seem like your going to ::for example only:: a site about audio, called digitalaudioworld.com and you click on the link and it takes you to bestfreesites.com and gets you to a page that launches 200 ads at you and the site locks up the browser. don't they review/check thier results? I guess not very often. And I've subbmitted my site with no luck and they end up sending me an e-statement saying i... Read more

Not the best, but I like Jeeves because it has a unique format of narrowing possible answers, and the fact that you actually get better results asking normal questions...

I never got good results from this site--You waste more time trying phrase the question then if you went to good place like "google". Nice idea --but--TRY "Google"

ask jeeves is one of the best search engines out today. I learned about it through my sister and I haven't let go of it since. It's the best after "google". I also think it's a lot better than yahoo! or excite...I don't know why it's not #2 on the top twenty list.

Whenever I would go on Ask Jeeves, I would type in a question, and they would come up with these extremly weird answers that have nothing to do with the question. I was looking for the site for the station Nickelodeon, and they come up with Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. This site is totally screwed up.

This search engine gives useful information only if you have a specific topic with a specific answer. It often says it doesn't understand your question, and rephrases it slightly and asks if that is what you want to ask, which can take a long time on a modem.

Good search engines for specific questions. If you are looking for an answer, the site will work well for you. If you want to explore a vast subject, this search engine will also work well for you.

It comes up with the pages that other search engines find. It saves time rather than searching through each engine one by one. It gives you alternate questions to ask to help with your search, but sometimes the pages are totally unrelated to what you're looking for.

This is a great idea. This engine is perfect for those who don't know what exactly they are looking for. I used Yahoo about how to get wax out of carpet and got nothing, so I went to Jeeves and got the correct results. So Jeeves is perfect for the broader questions.

It is good for practical questions. It isn't a good site for research. I would use it to find out how to do or make something.

Ask Jeeves is simple to use and gives a larger range of suggestions due to its polling of other search engines. If you are not sure of the best search words, this is far simpler and quicker than re-wording a simple search. I use a simple engine first, and if I don't get a good result then use Ask Jeeves to get a wider set of results.

This site has its good points. It gives me a wide range of answers or subjects that most of the time relate to the question I ask. But, when it's wrong it's wrong and there's not much you can do to refine the search.

The function of searching multiple search engines at once and outputting a variety of hits is astounding and very useful. The ability of selecting keywords out of a proper sentence is also great for novice searchers. Its major limitations, however, are the frames format and the inability to open results in a new browser window.

Ask Jeeves is one of the most precise and helpful search engines on the web. It allows different topics to be choosen to help refine ones search. In my opinion it is one of the best search engines out and can usually find the answer to any question. It is well layed out and easy to use.

This is a great idea. A search engine that will understand plain English. Problem is, everyones English is different. I hardly get the results I want on this engine. I always end up going back to Altavista and inputting my question there. This site is great for basic questions like "How's the weather in LA, Ca. today?" or "where can I find information on the Smithsonian?". It's a baby search engine for people that need simple questions answered.

A very helpful search engine that makes searching for a hard to find topic easy to do. Sometimes the search comes up empty. The search is too commericalized, meaning the first results refer you to Amazon or some other place other than giving you the items you wanted.

This search engine is great for those that don't know much about the web or how to find what they want. Ask Jeeves' method of allowing you to type in questions in plain English and without the "" or (), etc....makes it easy to use and not a hassle. Just be aware that you may get responses to parts of your question that you didn't want.

I really utilize Ask Jeeves when I am writing a research paper. It shows reliable links pertaining to the asked question. Ask Jeeves popularity, I believe, had a lot to do with its mass advertising and word of mouth.

I recently had a question that I wanted to find an answer to and one of my friends recommended Ask Jeeves.com. I went to the website, typed in my question and within a few seconds my question was answered. I found it extrememly helpful and now whenever anybody else has a question I direct them to Ask Jeeves.com.

I like how Ask Jeeves gives you a wide variety of subject matter on the topic you search for, however, it can be confusing and lead you in directions you didn't intend on going. It's also nice how it finds some sort of topic related to yours even if you're searching for something random.

I spit on Jeeves..he never answers the questions I ask..he doesn't even come back with relevant sites. I get stuck in his stupid Jeeves frames (if by chance he comes up with something useful, which is rare). Don't even bother with this site.

This site absolutely sucks!! there is so much hype that they can answer anything - what a bust. i have never had a good experience with ask.com. I have even gone back to the well a couple of times to see if they have made advances. No luck. I would like to ask Jeeves why his site sucks so much.

works better on intranets than as an Internet-wide service. I'm actually more comfortable searching for single words or short phrases than trying to figure out a 'natural language' way to phrase a search.

An interesting search engine, but not as accurate as you'd like.
