Garbage. Absolute garbage. I tried my dogs on the Artemis Maximal Dog. The first day eating it my Berger Picard developed a terrible itching rash all over his entire body. Skip this food!

Good dog food until I found out they were using fish meal preserved with the cancer-causing chemical Ethoxyquin! Which also leads us to see that they do not use only US ingredients! Too bad. But, at least on their website at: http://www.artemiscompany.com/news_detail.asp?idx=3 5 Their latest update reads: Title: Artemis is now Ethoxyquin FREE 5/25/2010 Artemis will now be using naturally preserved fish meal in all our products. We have switched our supplier of fish meal and now our fish meal will be naturally preserved with mixed tocopherols (vitamin E). The supplier we have acquired has obtained all of the required permits in order to use natural preservatives instead of ethoxyquin. Artemis Products are now Ethoxyquin FREE... *** Just be sure you don't buy any bags that expire May 2011 or before May 2011. They contain the old fish meal with Ethoxyquin.

My dogs have been on this dog food for many years. Highly recommend this product for your animals. My dogs clean their bowls each and every meal and always want more.

My doggie doesn't eat many other moist food. She used to eat the kibble but after awhile doesn't. For the kibble we use Prairie by Nature's Variety now. The Artemis canned food is the best smelling food in my opinion. We've tried Innova, Merrick, Halo, and the nature's variety canned but she doesn't seem to like any of them. Artemis is priced very well too, but it is difficult to find.

I was looking for a new senior cat food and came upon Artemis in a newly opened Pet Store in my neighborhood. Bought it. My cat took to it right away. He has always had a dry skin, dandruff issue:( but after a month on this formula it is completely gone! He also is more playful. I don't know if it's a coincidence but am not going back to find out. Had been using Science Diet and Eucanuba.

This is the best food your dogs can eat, my dogs ( I got 4 doxies and a Yorkie ) had been in every "holistic aproach " dog food, finally they love this one and eat it all. Clean bowls the whole time, One problem do, it is very hard to find it, I drive 45 minutes every month to get this food, I think should be more available in different stores I took the empty bag to different places and they said: (can't find the distribuitor not where) 10 stars to this food

I have 2 Lab/Retriever pups, 8 months old. They now been on Artemis for about 4 months after having horrible effects from Innova EVO and they love the food, look great, and their energy level is amazing. It is expensive, but I would never settle for a lesser product that uses fillers and grains in there product. Stick w/ Artemis or Orijen, both foods are top of the line only Orijen is a price range up from Artemis. If you have trouble getting the food, order online, many to choose from such as petfooddirect.com and globalpets.com.

I cannot tell you how many weekends I spent researching cat foods for Flip and Slippers because of the recalls. I was using other natural cat foods but both were recalled. I was frightened I would pick the wrong company and / or select a food that they would not like. I cannot tell you how happy I am with Artemis! Flip and Slippers love the dry and wet foods. I have never once seen Slippers eat a can of any food in one sitting but just tonight she had an entire can of the seafood cat food by herself. Thank you for providing a natural, quality product I can trust for my girls.

We just adopted a 19 month old 40lb mixed breed dog along with a 33# bag of Artemis Fresh Mix (dry) on which the dog had been raised. The fellow we got her from runs the Dallas Bomb Squad's K-9 Unit and Artemis is the only food they use. We observe high energy, a beautiful coat, small stools, no gas, ideal weight for her size, and that she eats every kibble with no need to add anything to her 1 1/2 to 2 cups per day. All in all, it seems like a great product with good ingredients. Separately, we did some research on dog foods for the first time, to help us decide if we wanted to stick with the Artemis because it's relatively expensive. What we found out is that while our previous dogs lived until they were ~15 years old, we were likely torturing their systems with poor quality dog food/s for their entire lives. People need to know that runny stools, constant gas, bloating, vomiting, etc. is not a normal state for any dog at any age. If your dog is not happy, healthy and well... ... Read more

I switched my puppy off of Eukanuba after he seemed to become very itchy, his right eye was runny, he was having loose stools, and his appetite was very poor. I am now using the Artemis Fresh Mix Medium/Large Breed Puppy food and he seems to be doing a lot better. Itchiness is much improved, his eye appears normal now, the loose stools have stopped, and he now seems more interested in eating and usually licks the bowl clean, something he never did before. The food isn't that much more expensive and it seems to have helped a lot. Plus we don't have to worry about potentially harmful ingredients. The only drawback is that it can be hard to obtain. We have to drive over 30 miles away to get it.

This is a pretty good food. The ingredients are amazing, the only one I don't care for is the egg product. But otherwise Great ingredients. The thing that gets me a little curiouse is the fact that the protien level in the Adult formula is only 23%. With four meats as the first four ingredients I thought it would have been higher. Otherwise, definitely a good all around food to have your dogs on. You may just want to supplement with some raw bones or raw formulas to give the dogs a little more protien.

The first four ingredients in this food are all named meat products. You can have very high confidence in the level of meat content of the food. There are further meat ingredients 7th and 11th on the list. That is fish meal, a source of Omega 6 and Omega 3 essential fatty acids. The main grains are rice and barley. Both are whole grains and good quality sources of carbohydrates and additional protein. Oatmeal is a further good quality grain in the food. The food contains a range of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as whole eggs. Flaxseed is a good quality source of Omega 6 and Omega 3 essential fatty acids, and the food contains a range of probiotics. Overall, this is a very good quality food with a good amount of meat and that uses high quality ingredients throughout. The food contains no fillers, no grain fragments, or other nasties that commonly cause problems for dogs.

Artemis make a great food. I have given it to my dog recently to try and she loves it. The ingredients are excellent, no fillers, artificial flavors, colors or by-products.

Great food (Fresh Mix Adult). My boys love it. Price wise, if you are in the Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley), it is comparable to many of the other premium brands. I buy mine at C&C; Pets (www.candcpets.com) $32.99 for a 33# bag.

Artemis dog food has many nutrious ingredients. They are high quality products. However, Artemis is a little on the expensive side.
