Nice and Knowledgeable Dentist. I had a bad toothache and a swollen face and paged Dr. Dean Ariaee on a Saturday. He responded back to me after only 3-4 minutes. He was helpful and concerned. He told me I needed medicine to take down the swelling and pain. He called in the medicine. It was ready after 30 minutes at the pharmacy. He saw me on that Monday and had to pull a tooth. He was very compassionate and gentle. His shots were the best ones I've ever had. I did not even notice that he pulled my tooth until I saw it on the tray in front of me. I have good insurance coverage. They did all the billing and I had to pay some too. I've been going to him now for 15 years. I highly recommend him.

He is terrible and he will take advantage of the patients and their insurance. Many complaints against him as well as lawsuits.

I hate dentists so I never go, but had a dental emergency so I had to find a dentist quick and get help ASAP. He took care of the problem quickly. Only had one appt, but he seems very intelligent and EXPLAINED what is happening and what needs to be done! I have good insurance so I can't attest to costs, but coming from a guy with bad dentists, go where you will get the best care!

Avoid this dentist (if that's what you could call him) at all costs. Our son had a chipped tooth, he repaired it with bonding. 3 months later the bonding was dangling. We brought him in to get it reattached. He tried everything he could to upsell me on a crown (front tooth). I said that I need to discuss this with my wife, give me the particulars - but obviously we need the immediate problem fixed. To my horror, when I left the dentist office with my son, it turned out he DIDN'T fix the problem and nor did he notify me when we left the office he didn't fix the tooth. I went immediately back - he wouldn't come and talk to me but stayed in the inside office and had his assistant come and talk to me - saying that he wouldn't fix the tooth - i had to pay for a crown - the poor assistant had to play go between for 20-30 minutes - he WOULDN'T come in and talk with me until I threatened to report him to whatever I could report him to. He refused to fix the problem unless I paid a large am... Read more

From the time I walked in the door I was welcomed with a huge smile. My appointment went as smooth as possible. The staff was very considerate of my time and acknowledged my fear of the dentist. Dr. Ariaee was very detailed explaining my treatment . The staff in the back were very pleasant and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Dean Ariaee.

Everyone has different expectations on what they consider great customer service. Both my wife (who is usually very fearful of dentists) and I have been going to Dean for 9 years with the best results and always get a warm welcome. (And not just because we have been spending money there for 9 years, but because he is genuine once you get to know the man.) Sometimes it may be the personality of the person going to the dentist that gets a colder than expected welcome. Glad to see not all like going here so my wait is shorter than if Dean was the best "show" in town.

All other reviewers are right . These people are the worst and they stink. They should not even be open for business. The front personell are rude and have attitude problems. The dentist is cold and very unaccomodating. He hardly says hi and it is like he is working on machines instead of humans. It's like they dont care about the patients. They are in it for the money, and believe me they charge very high prices compared to the service they offer. I checked other dentist offfices and they charge about 40% less than this office and they do a better job. I guess my main complaint is that the dentist is treating the patients like dirt. And the service is lousy, Not to mention the high high prices they charge. Stay away from this place. Trust me there are a ton of other better dentists in Irvine. Don't get fooled by these people.

I went there with a piece of my tooth broken. Doctor Areaee tricked me into getting a root canal. Since my insurance was only paying for a root canal and nothing else, doctor dean areeae tricked me into getting a root canal. I had to go for two days and sat about 4-5 hours each day. He worked on my tooth for 5 min then went away and came back an hour later and did some work and left and so on. When the root canal was done they told me, You are all set and bye. I later found out that if there is no intent to put a crown, then a dentist should not do a root canal. Anyways now i am toothless and they want a ridicolous amount for a crown. The worst service and front personnel in the business. Try to avoid going there at all costs.

This dentist office is the worst. I moved to Irvine and chose this office because of convenience and it accepted my insurance. What a mistake. The dentist (if that?s what he really is) immediately told me that I had a number of cavities that needed to be filled. I found it odd that I could?ve developed so many cavities as an adult in the six months since I visited my old dentist. I let the so-called dentist fill three of them. The bill was very high so I can see why they were so anxious to do the work. A few days later I was still in pain so I called them. They had me come in and this time I was seen by the owner of the practice (Dean Ariaee). He re-drilled the previous work which he said had to be redone because the prior dentist did something wrong. Long story short, the root on one of the teeth that they filled and then re-filled died and required a very expensive and painful root cannel! I started asking around and found out that many other patients have had similar e... Read more

Every experience I've had in the dentist's chair has been miserable, until now. Dr. Ariaee is the most compassionate dentist I've ever seen....

My husband was suffering from a very bad tooth ache. We went to his dentist who told him that he needed a wisdom tooth extracted. However, he could not do it in his office as it was "out of his scope" and needed to be seen by a specialist. He referred us to an Oral Surgeon, but this doctor did not have an opening until 2 WEEKS LATER. My husband could not wait that long. A friend of ours told us about Dr. Ariaee and how he was very good and how he also performed some specialty treatments. We called Dr. Ariaee and his very friendly staff got us in the very next day. When we arrived to the office they had already checked on our insurance information and all we had to do was fill out a small form and my husband was seen right away. Dr. Ariaee performed the extraction with NOOOO problem!!!! My husband said he had the best experience ever!!! Dr. Ariaee was very gentle, accurate and very caring. The staff was very caring and accomodating as well. We have since now switched to Dr. ... Read more

I am very nervous when it comes to getting any type of dental treatment including taking x-rays. I was reccomended by my mother to see Dr. Dean Ariaee. The minute I walked into the office I was really impressed with the staff. The were all so helpful and patient. Dr. Ariaee was very efficient and thorough in his examination and treatment. He even called to check on me the next day! I highly reccoment Dr. Dean Ariaee to everybody that I know.

The first time I went infor consultation, I waited 20 minutes in the waiting room and over 45 minutes on the "dentist" chair only to find out that the doctor had an "unexpected procedure" and will not be able to attend me!!! When I went in for the second time, I waited ONLY 45 minutes all together and find out that I need bonding for 7 of my teeth which costs $250 each!!! Surely that's a rip off, what do you think? Don't go there. Just do yourself a favor and find another dentist!
