Yeah, the world may be 3/4 covered in water, but the bad guys are almost always on the other 1/4, so he was not much help.

I prefer to follow Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Sponge Bob. At least they're funny.

Sadly, his career came to an abrupt end when he swam too close to a Japanese tuna boat. He canned up pretty good though.

He's more formidable when he's portrayed like Poseidon, ruler of the seas, rather than just an ocean geek with fishy friends.

He was my favorite member of the Super Friends. Talking to fish and living in the water is cool.

I think Aquaman was so cool. Well the old version with the cleanly shaven beard and short hair. I think that they must have been crazy to change his character so much. I think the two biggest (and stupidest) were to take his fish communication powers away and the pirate claw come on! The magical water hand is actualy a good thing in my book it's actually tyght! The new one is eh... Okay. I guess the metal thing is odd. His outfit never bad it gelled with his charcater. The fifth (latest) comic transformation is good not perfect but a start he's got the better costume (the water hand!). In the other ones (Frank Miller *gags*) he wasn't really a good husband and neglected his wife that's bull crap he should love her more than the deepest ocean which is displayed in the new one to my delight. In any case he is a great hero and by the way you guys who say he's useless becides talking to fish he can fight just as good as Batman and he's able to control water which is also tyght!

I ask everybody if they remember The Mighty Heroes! I thought I was all alone, it was my favorite as a kid. I liked DiaperMan because of his deep voice. And CookooMan because he always screws things up!

All other superpowers pale in comparison to the ability to communicate with the fishes.

Lame hero. Hi, my name is Aquaman and I can talk to fish! I can save you, using a tuna!

the new aquaman with the hook hand is yet another badass super hero. you can tell just by looking at him. the hook gives him a way to fight on land. which makes him alot more useful than the classic version.

The only good thing about Aquaman was that he could talk to fish. Other than that he would be no use on land except to talk to fish in aquariums.

Aquaman's alright I guess. I used to have some Aquaman underoos when I was little. Basically, though, if he's not underwater and able to communicate with his marine friends, he's pretty useless.

I remember renting the same Aquaman cartoon over and over in my younger days. It was pretty exciting, if I remember correctly. He had an apprentice (I'm not sure of the name) and anyone who can talk to fish and ride seahorses like motorcycles is pretty cool. I've seen pictures of Aquaman that looked more like Thor in a wetsuit, but the Aquaman I know is that slick, blond-haired guy who always beat the badguys because he's better adapted to the ocean then them. I love the ocean and its life, maybe that's what gives him his appeal for me.

Fishman, what a loser. I don't know how this guy ever became popular. He's on par with the wonder dorks.

Almost everyone I've talked to doesn't remember Aquaman... What ever happened to the "Mighty Heros". With Baby Man, Cookoo Man, Tornado Man, etc..?

Sure, maybe he's useles for the most part above land, but he'd make a killing now working for lobster boats and the NTSB!

While an underwater superheroe is a cool idea, it just isn't that practical. Most people just don't spend enough time in the water to make this guy that relevant.

I've always hated Aquaman because I could never understand what use he was outside of the ocean. I gave him more than one star because so much of Earth is water-based.

I was never really a big aquaman fan - maybe I was envious of the whole blonde hais and super swimmer's body. Did he ever fight crime on land?
