In this market it's so important for job seekers to get realistic, positive advice from recruiters on what it will take to get placed with the right company. I really appreciated the knowledgeable advice I got from Nikki Spencer in the downtown Portland office. She was supportive, pragmatic and professional.

I signed up with 5 recruiters, and AppleOne was the only one to send me for a job interview. I did not land the job I have applied for, came in a close 2nd, but the same day they told me the news, they also told me about a possibility in Hillsboro, only 15 minute commute from my home! I enjoy my temporary position and it's great to be back to work! Jessica Shown and the Portland staff have been helpful and professional, as well as very supportive during a family emergency. I would totally recommend them to any job seekers in the market, and will continue working with them after this assignment is complete!

I am currently using 5 placement agencies. Apple one is the only service that has found me work in this oversaturated market. I went in to meet with one of their representatives and they already had an interview set up for me before I left that day and I was working a week later. I have been very happy with the level of service when I have questions or need information. I would definitely recommend Apple One to anyone looking for work.

I retired from the Military in 1989 and signed up with five temp agencies after retiring from a second career in Banking in 2007. The Apple One downtown Portland office staff are one of the two temp agencies that have been the most successful in finding me work I can do at the highest pay rates. The type of work I did in my 22 years in the military and 18 years in Banking did not prepare me very well for the extremely competitive, executive level office skill requirements generated by the high unemployment crises that has arisen in the last few years. As a senior citizen, I am no longer that easy to place in a competitive work environment. The Staffing managers and office support team at the Downtown Apple One Office have been outstanding in their efforts to place me in suitable employment situations. I have always been treated with respect and a cheerful, friendly and helpful attitude. Apple One has me currently in two successful on-going assignments, one at Nordstrom's department... Read more

I have been with temp services on and off over my 30 year working history and Appleone rates as one of the better agencies I have used. My job history has included many many jobs, some of which Temp agencies have given me; from Sheet Metal Union (retired member now) to Printing companies- Accounts Payables like Thayer in Bvt., (got a letter of recommendation in 1987 there, if I recall). So, my latest ordeal was when my PT, Call center marketing job went back east in August. I signed up with Oregon Employment Division and then started the Internet search process, resume upgrade, and general application process. I went into 2 other temp agencies and completed an intake with Goodwill Job Search down on MLK. Appleone must have called me within about 3 days of registering with them. Their internet site boasts of 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and that is absolutely true. In my experience, the only time you could possibly go wrong with a Temp Agency is when you stray outside their ... On Friday, they called and told me I had a job and to begin on Monday. I was given the address and over the weekend I drove to the location to time the commute and familiarize myself with the office. On Monday, as I stood in the lobby in a mild panic, I was informed over the phone that they had forgotten to tell me that the only way to access the office was by private elevator, that I would need a key, and that no one was in upstairs who could let me in. Then the Apple One coordinator sent me packing, presumably because I was "late". The stress, frustration, and emotional duress are not worth it. I will never search for a job through this company again. HD

I first contacted Apple One a couple of months ago and scheduled an appointment to come in to the office. The day before my appointment, I received a job offer, so I called in to cancel my appointment. I informed them I had gotten a job, and he told me that my profile would remain available so that I would not have to fill the whole thing out again. Two months later I was "layed" off (apparently Citysearch finds the correct spelling inappropriate), so I contacted them again. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude and pushy, but in the end she set up an appointment for me to come in after hearing about my experience and reviewing my profile. I called the office again today because I have to leave town unexpectedly due to a family emergency. I asked to reschedule, and the woman asked me again to restate my experience. Then she told me that based on my experience (which includes 10+ years of office work, including support work, clerical work, and front desk experience plus proje... Read more
