Honestly not that great.Great Band ACDC .

Good guitarist, but honestly, not top 10 material. Look at his songs! At least have of them use the same chords, E, A, & D, in slightly different order. Good solo's, but he's not the best.

Angus is an awesome guitarist and the things he does are so difficult like one hand guitar playing.

If you don't like Angus Young or AC/DC at all then you must just hate music... great guitarist in a great band!

he has a style of his own has a wierd style of solos and to all the peeple who dont like him u try doing half as good listen to let their be rock

If it weren't for Angus I'm not sure what would've happened with hard rock in the 70's & 80's. He is a master of 3 chord progression rock.

Technically perhaps not the best , but it sure sounds good! I do love his work as a guilty pleasure.

I respect Angus Young but it is hard to call him one of the greats. He tends to play the same chords over and over again. Once you have heard his playing on one album, you pretty much have heard his entire arsenal.

Malcolm is the better player in AC/DC, without his rythym lines the songs would be unlistenable. Angus is totally one-dimensional, each solo is nearly identical. His leads have too much sameness. I do like a few of the songs though: Thunderstruck, For Those About To Rock . . ., Hell's Bells, and a few more.

All of his stuff is pretty much the same riff over and over again. It is a cool riff but he is an overrated player.

he did more with 3 notes than most do with the whole fingerboard!! great showman not flashy but knows how to make great muisc with less! and realizes that -what you dont play(the rest) is as important as what you do play --just like eric clapton

He is so awesome. He is all over the stage playing great classic riffs. People overlook his brother Malcolm who is a great rhythm guitarist as well.

Oof. He's good fun and all, but eventually you get bored with three chords. A lot of AC/DC's stuff is painfully repetitive. Not the most imaginative or technically advanced guitarist, but a lively and important one all the same.

This guy rocks more than any other guitarist on the planet, no effects, purely a feel for rock, his phrasing and vibrato are without equal then throw in the tone he gets and you got yourself the perfcect rock guitarist bar none. Most of the top guitarists on this poll just plain say look how fast i can play this solo, and for how long, fuckin hours on end, BORING VIRTUOSOS, Angus knows when to reel it in, thats why ac/dc outsell all bar zepplin, and they have only sold more cos they`ve been around for like 200 years!!

OK so you say he's not the best huh? Well then how about you show me another guitarist who can play Thunderstruck without a whammy bar or digital effects. Or mabey another guitarist who can play the solo riff in Shake a Leg while spinning around on the floor without missing a note. ANGUS YOUNG IS THE BEST GUITARIST THERE EVER WAS,IS, OR WILL BE!!!!! Opinions vary greatly from person to person but I think based on overall skill, handspeed, consistency, originality and the ability to kick your ass with a single solo everytime, I have to say Angus young should be up there among the top 2 or 3!
