Sat Mar 27 2010Everyone gets angry. Sometimes a little righteous anger is needed. Being cool, calm and collected is a good quality, but sometimes, action is needed too. As long as its channeled towards constructive means with a quantifiable, positive agenda, and it is non-violent, it's all good. The Zeitgeist of the times seems to be geared towards public anger against high officials. We see this in the Tea Party protests and other movements sprouting up against unbridled government power exercised against the interests of the people, or to the benefit of connected business interests. Then we have protests happening in Iceland, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Latvia and other European countries against their government's banking authorities, who abused the public trust. There will be government's that fail before this is all said and done, mark it down. There's plenty of anger out there, and some of it is well placed. However the tone and tactics can be disquieting at times. Just take a lo... Read more

Sat Jul 25 2009Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

Tue Nov 11 2008Bah, I used to need it, but anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering, so what's the use? Thanks to Master Yoda I have a better outlook on things, I guess...

Fri Nov 07 2008Everybody gets upset at times, but it's all in the way that anger is channeled that makes all the difference.

Tue Nov 28 2006I have my issues. I don't think anger is good, but sometimes it helps you deal with things better.

Thu Sep 01 2005For whatever intrinsic value it may or may not have, I've got this one down pat. This is where I excel. I think it is simultaneously a great engine for accomplishing things and terribly destructive of the person who harbors it ... if that makes any sense ... I know it sounds sort of like an oxymoron.

Sun Aug 07 2005Men like to be angry. Why do you think we like watching sports, playing video games, making bets and fixing broken things so much.

Sun Aug 07 2005Anger is not recognized often enough and leads to passive aggressiveness and taking out your problems on others and blaming them for it afterwards. There's so many things you can do with anger like play sports, engage in activism and just confront the person who made you angry. Sometimes people don't see anger for what it is and take it out of context which only makes the angry person angrier. Anger is not accepted in many societies and that must be hard because you can't always be smiling while you are angry on the inside. Women are often conditioned to be happy, smile and go with the flow. Pent up anger makes people do crazy things against others and themselves. It also makes them depressed, anger turned inward. I don't agree with the notion of faking it just to be nice because if some people can't take it then they should get out of my kitchen!!

Mon Mar 28 2005Anger can be a good thing as long as we remain in control. Anger can spur us to do good things For instance after Teri Schiavo dies we are going to be so angry that we might make some changes in our own lives, or in the way these matters are handled and maybe even in the government.

Fri Feb 11 2005Anger is a gift. However, that is not an excuse to commit a wrong. Anger must be controlled but not ignored.

Thu Feb 10 2005I use this emotion a lot, too. A lot of people/things tick me off. It's good to have. For example, without it you'd be a wimp. You would let people push you around. But, anger can be a bad thing especially if you can't express your anger in a controlled manner...

Wed Feb 09 2005It's healthy to be angry once in a while. Especially when your sports teams are doing awful and that you're being censored all the damn time.

Fri Jan 21 2005Anger is an energy great PIL song. Oh yeah it's a killer. Causes stress and death in some people. Only time anger is good is when you go to war otherwise an emotion that is destroying our planet.

Wed Jan 19 2005one of my favorites. more a general outrage at the humanity and the disgusting worthless things we have to do on a daily basis just to keep ourselves in clothing, shelter, and food. i think anger is un-PC now. No one gets angry anymore. perhaps that explains our current cultural climate of government and entertainment. we settle for mediocre leaders and mediocre music, movies, and books. everything is docile, it has no heart.

Wed Jan 19 2005Anger just eats you up inside. It very rarely leads to anything positive unless you channel it into a more positive emotion.

Tue Jan 18 2005This is one I don't experience very often. I am a pretty layed back person. I couldn't get that mad under ordinary circumstances. The only way I could get REALLY mad would be if somebody hurt my family.

Tue Jan 18 2005Easily the most distasteful and regrettable emotions, I do my best to not be angry. Sometimes, it happens, however. Thus, I take my anger and filter it into a harmless form like writing, playing video games, and in extreme situations--tearing tissues.
