A very nice inexpensive bourbon. Nothing mind-blowing but comparible to many of the expensive canadian whiskies with a much lower price tag. I would like to try the higher-end version...Ancient Ancient Age but it is not available in my part of the country.

I call this my AA meeting, my friend and I discovered this drink a few whiffins past, and we haven't turned our back since. It's sold at my local liquor store, but you can't find it everywhere, we get kind of upset if we have to resort to something else. Just recently discovered the AAA, Ancient Ancient Age, as if it wasn't already ancient enough, WOW!

Sorry to bust your bubble old crow fans but this is a superior product. For the price this evan williams (white and black label) and ezra hull ass. Excellent smooth taste well worth the money. I am a fan of premium bourbon such as Wild Turkey ( rare breed), Knob creek, and evan williams single barrel. However I only drink those on a rare occassion due to their price tag. This is one of my trusted regular brands. Any snob that puts this stuff down is a pretenious asshole. Remember this review is comming from a man whom enjoys an ocassional single barrel bourbon.

Most times I drink the higher priced bourbons, but I was running short on cash, and decided to give it a try. I find it to be an outstanding drink....straight, and with a little ice. I picked up a big bottle of the double AA, and after reading the reviews....I'll pick a big bottle of the triple AAA next time. ;)

You guys comparing blended whiskey to Bourbon shouldnt be writing reviews. Whisckey and bourbon are 2 different brews. I've tried Makers Mark, Knob Creek, Eagle rare, and Woodford Reserve, as well as Jim beam. I find Ancient Age just as smooth as any of the higher priced Bourbons.

Yeah, I am a big fan of the HBO series Deadwood and used to sip Makers Mark. Being a few bucks short I bought some Ancient Age and will never go back. It is smooth and flavorful. I would even like to tour the distillery along the back of the Kentucky Rio!

Of the low cost bourbon, I like in this order. Ancient Age, Early Times, Ten High, Distillers Pride. There all 3-Ok.

Kind of a mixed bag. I bought it because it was on sale. It was was smooth to sip, but the finish wasn't as good as Early Times or Seagrams. Still, I kind of liked it once I got used to it (or got drunker on it!) I'd buy it again on sale, but not otherwise.

Ancient Age is an ordinary bourbon but a good value because of the price. However, two Ancient Ancient Age's are offered which are both good bourbon. AAA 10 Star has much wider distribution and for an extra $1.50 it is a big upgrade from AA. I drink the stuff often.

Be sure to get the 10 year variety. Damned good hooch for the price. I give it 4 stars for taste, add another star for exceptionally good price.

HANDS DOWN THE GREATEST BURBON EVER!!! AA, as I prefer to call it, with its smooth taste and cheap price, will never let you down. And even better, it will never give you a hangover, even when mixed with other drinks. One sip and I'm sure you'll agree.

Not bad, smoother than crow, and cleaner than grandad for about the same price.

Ancient Age is good, Ancient Ancient Age is Great! My Pappy started me drinking AAA when I was just a pup and I've never found better.

Ancient Age is superior bourbon. I love the froth on top of my glass when mixed with Coke. The taste is second to none. I pick Ancient Age over any whiskey. It makes a great mixed drink!

Tried it because I could take the plastic in the boundary waters. I find it better than Jack with coke, my old drink. My new drink is ancient age/coke.

You people are nuts. This is a terrible drink. It smells strongly of caramel color, which makes me think it is just colored "vodka". The hangover it produces is unreal. Spend a couple extra bucks on Johnny Walker.

Surprisingly good...I was surprised because it is very economical. I ended up liking it better then more expensive brands I've purchased. I'm new to Whiskey in my middle age, and am a 'sippin' it straight up drinker.

I've been trying some of the lower priced whisky's and I bought a bottle of Ancient Age and was pleasantly surprised. I found it smooth and somewhat sweet with slight smoky carmel smell. I've been drinking it with just rocks. It's smoother and more drikable than Old Grand Dad or Evan Williams. I'll never buy those again. They're too harsh. One of my fav's is Crown Royal but at this price I'd get this again. I still have to try some more affordable Canadian whisky.

not even close in comparison to that of jack daniels or johny walker, but is dirt cheap. it is semi smooth i mixed it with coke drank about 1/4 of a 1.75 and it left me with a mean hangover the next day but that wont stop me from drinkin the rest :D

It's not Jack, OK? But for the money, it's pretty damn good. Ancient Age is my 'everyday' bourbon. I treat myself to 'Jack' every once-in-a-while, but really like coming home to Ancient Age.

Ancient Age might just darn well be the best kept secret in whiskee sense 10 High !!! My brother law and i finished a whole goddam 1.75 in a night and we didn't even puke. No hangover the next day neither. Don't break the bank on that snob juice they call whiskie! It costs too much and makes ya puke. Ancient Age whisky or nothin at all.

This a good smooth bourbon others may be better but they cost twice as much, if you buy your bourbon for mixed drinks this is the one.

This is to whiskey what Gilbey's is to gin and Joan Rivers is to comedy: below passing grade and unworthy of continued use. For further analogies, see Judy's Garland's daughter...no, on second thought, don't.

Great for a mixer (egg nog, lemonade, etc.). Horrible for a sipping or on-the-rocks whiskey.

This is my favorite whisky. I used to drink Crown Royal, but I switched when I tried a bottle of Ancient Age my dad brought over. It is just as smooth and has a little history to go along with it. Many of my friends now choose Ancient over other whisky's. It is also less expensive than some of the others. Ancient Age mixes well with Coke or 7-up. It has a high alcohol content and is not for the weak of stomach. Give it a try, I know you will enjoy!
